- schedule is, uh, moving forward. We have a planning commission hearing next Tuesday. Uh, that'll be a, a required public
- hearing. Uh, that planning commission will have to make a recommendation on. Uh, and then city council a couple weeks ago
- , uh, will be available as part of the backup for the planning commission hearing. Uh, the law department asked us not
- definitely go in the staff report to both planning commission and city council. So at minimum it would be noted that
- this makes more sense, but if the Planning commission City Council and their infinite wisdom 7.5 is more accessible

- back for extending it beyond six months and, and making this a permanent change? Did it come back to planning commission for
- is gonna be captured so that when it comes back to the planning commission, they will know that it's either working
- come back to the planning commission before it is, uh, considered for termination and before it is considered, uh, for
- to planning commission and council before being terminated and also, uh, for extending beyond the six months. And so I
- Planning Commission, um, which is an update so we know how it's going on top of your other two requests. Well, let's
- present for presenting today. In addition, we have three items form the planning commission, 36, 37, and 38. The one that

- for the planning commission, um, to set up the date. Okay. And it, exhibit A doesn't specify the timing between
- the joint hearing Planning Commission and counsel hearings. What is the intention in that regard? It depends when
- we're able to set the joint public hearing and when the next planning commission, when meeting would be and
- meeting and then planning commission and then city council meeting too close together, uh, I agree, runs a foul
- the subject matter of the joint hearing and then what planning commission would be making recommendations on and what
- planning commission is a, a significant, um, event. I hope you all will take advantage of, of participating in
- public hearing in front of the public, uh, the planning commission, which would've happened anyway, and we will
- 13 additional, uh, appointees on the planning commission. So it's a, it's a heavy burden to find that date
- program. And we received unanimous support from the Planning commission following, uh, the meetings that we've had with neighbors
- which took place after the planning commission. We are offering several additional community benefits and voluntary site
- ground on this zoning ground. Um, even though the planning commission, by the way, unanimously approve this rezoning
- six nmp on the eastern portion of the track. The planning commission and staff recommend this request. The rezoning
- mitigation that again, that signed and ready to recorded Planning Commission recommended that or request unanimously. And staff is
- not apparently get to the Planning Commission. So their recommendations do not represent, uh, some very important issues

- , an ordinance relating to a joint public hearing between the city council and the Planning commission, uh, for certain changes to
- was expressed by colleagues that we'd be having this joint meeting, and then there would also be a planning commission meeting, and
- the planning Commission. After that public hearing, hearing happens, the planning commission will take up the item at one of their
- notice of the planning commission and the council meetings. And so in this instance, we would give notice of all three at one
- time. So we would have the, uh, joint hearing, the planning commission action day, and the council action date. Okay. Um, thank
- this process out and see how it works for the council and for the planning commission in the community. And, um, if council
- , a joint hearing with the planning commission is something that we've never done in my time on council, and I can't remember
- we also need to work with the liaison for the Planning commission to, uh, determine the correct date. Okay. So we're, so
- , if the ordinance passes right, then we'll sit down with the clerk's office and the agenda office and the planning commission liaison
- culminated in presentation of a draft plan, um, at a public hearing of the Planning Commission on November 15th, 2022. We previously
- engagement focused primarily on Red River venue owners, um, and provided recommendations to planning commission. Next slide, please. Oh
- planning commission recommended amendments, version two of Exhibit A would adopt the plan with planning commission recommendations as
- many of the recommendations that are included in, um, exhibit A that were forwarded by the Planning Commission Working Group

- of the, uh, planning commission, the city planner said that they fulfill a criteria, fact-based criteria about the
- , uh, planning commission, and this is all recorded, that he has bail, uh, infrastructure. So we would like to
- move forward with the conversation on the approval that we've already received from the planning commission and give
- planning commission and it is allowing for 550 feet of an indoor only auto sales use. Um, and again, we're
- proposed road stop. Um, this was supported by staff and the planning commission. So again, this is being offered for
- , the planning commission approved the applicant's request for C SS M U C O MP zoning with an additional
- through the c u p, the conditional use permit process, the DI idea was to ensure that the Planning
- Commission would see the site, um, to make sure that it was compatible with the area. So the applicant does not
