- We'll go ahead and get started. All right, I now call this meeting and the planning commission to order at, oh gosh, 6:04 PM Um, first
- the agenda, which was fine. Um, we were supposed to be able to go to the February 14th planning commission agenda
- , compatibility amendments you, the planning commission recommended for the city council and council amended, they added a bonus provision
- just clarify. The, the planning commission does not get involved with a private restrictive covenant. Correct. And that's really
- , while we're seeing a lot of high-rise growth through planning commission in the central portion, uh, zap is seeing the wild
- it's happening. It's just not happening in planning Commission. You might get some of that feedback from Zap when y'all
- spend a lot of time on this, but it's discussion impossible action of appointing members to planning commission working
- moving on still wanna participate, as, you know, outside of the planning commission, they won't affect our quorum
- , um, stress to the current members, O C O JC on Planning Commission, if you can make it your, um
- in perspective. This is the end of my term, um, on Planning Commission. It was actually the end of 10
- Life Commission, um, for several years before coming onto the Planning Commission. And, um, I've learned a lot in
- the commission. Uh, over the years that I've been on the Planning Commission, it's, it's really, um, really excellent
- , um, the decisions that the planning commission makes are best when the neighborhoods come to the planning commission with
- and expands, uh, in the planning commission in the future. Um, so I'd like to thank the, my fellow commissioners
- the planning commission really loves our city as I do. So, thank you all. All right. Um, commissioner Shay, I
- divide between, uh, you know, certain, the planning commission on the first, uh, the land code the first time
- , and you really brought a sense of unification to the, to the, uh, planning commission at that time. We
- , can you hear me? Kathleen Fox? Yes, we can hear you. Okay. Good evening. I'm Kathleen Fox with the housing and Planning
- Department Chair Commission I on, if we could pause for a minute. Ms. Fox, if you could display your camera please
- . , Uh, chair. Could I just point out that you don't have to be a member of the planning
- commission to serve on a working group Mm-hmm. . So, I'm, I'm confused on if we're There is a motion

- All right, uh, let's go ahead and bring this meeting at the Planning Commission on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2023, uh, to order. We've got, uh
- , um, the very first vote that I believe Planning Commission took on the new Land Development Code going back six, maybe about
- on what the timeline was going to be for new appointees to the planning commission. It, it, it just seems to me that
- tell us when the existing a u ordinance changes from council are headed to, um, planning commission codes and ordinances. Chair
- spring or summer, we are going to be getting those ordinances for review as planning commission as Well. Okay. So
- another working group or at least an item for discussion at a future, uh, council meeting or, or future planning commission meeting
- , it's an enforcement issue. Um, and obviously the planning commission is not really involved in enforcement, but I'm, I'm
- housing. What are the ones, and the exercise on this was finding a way for planning commission to help clean up
- the planning commission, we can bring it up action as an action item for us to initiate the code or send a
- , compatibility stuff. Um, and you know, as I'd mentioned before, planning commission has, in the past approved detention ponds
- . So in instances like this, the idea is rather than setting a project to have to go through the planning commission council
- be found on the, uh, planning commission webpage, uh, for this date. Um, the other thing to just keep in mind
- planning commission. So currently there are currently no adopted recommendations from the working group. Um, okay. But we can still
- and use our opportunity because planning commission can initiate code on some of these small pieces like that. Um, on the
- fork or makes a decision to forego a recommendation from the planning commission. That's, um, because it is Incorrect, uh
- , because it's an amendment to the Imagine Austin comprehensive plan, it has to go through planning commission first. So because
- the planning commission at the end to consider his amendments as we go through the approval process? Yes, that is
- else before we adjourn this evening? All right, seeing no objections, uh, I'm gonna adjourn this meeting of the planning Commission at 6 58. Thank you. Thank y'all. Happy Valentine's Day.
- folks. I think Commissioner Mosh Toler and Commissioner Anderson, you guys are gonna be hopefully continuing on with the planning
- commission. But, um, so who would be interested in serving, um, on this team? Uh, we just don't, I would love to have our
