- of affordable housing units. Uh, there may be some conversation, uh, about some of the, uh, planning commission items. My
- come from the planning commission, um, council member, Harper, Madison, you've indicated, uh, an intent to maybe bring some of
- leadership on that. Uh, I'd like to ask staff if you would react to five of the planning commission items that
- have concerns about them. And specifically, I'm asking about the planning commission recommendations 1, 3, 4, 7, and 15. Uh, number one
- . That's our planning commission recommendation. And are you guys good with that one? Uh, hi, Tom Rollinson with the parks and
- the planning commission recommended. Um, and so, um, if we can find a way, um, to exempt them and still require
- extra access, um, to the parks. Okay. The next one I want to ask about is, uh, number, um, planning, commission recommendation
- , cuz number four was the Cal was the fee, um, calculation on my, On the, on the, uh, planning commission recommendation
- the One, these are the planning commission recommendations, Your agenda It's on the agenda's back up. Do you see which
- PC recommendations. I, I, I understand that I'm trying to track it to the actual planning commission recommendations because
- not all what These amendments So that the planning commission only took up commercial. They didn't take up residential, it
- that the mayor's putting. And that was not exactly what the planning commission recommended. And so I'm trying to track it
- amendments that were identified as coming out of planning commission, but thank you for the correction. Number four in backup
- . And, and remember that the planning commission was only looking at commercial, not at residential. Right. So it would seem
- I think that's what it, that's what the proposal from the planning commission was, but it's also true that it's not
- was, could you remind us the date when the regulating plan was going to go to, I guess the planning
- commission I'm gonna have to defer to a assume Gonzalez, I will pull up my laptop right now and get that

- codes and ordinances joint committee, which is a committee, uh, that is, um, made up of members from planning, commission, uh
- , zoning and planning commission, and, uh, one member from the board of adjustment they look at and make recommendations
- recommendation to give to the planning commission, um, due to the fact that it was just a lot of information, but
- , uh, we have briefed the planning commission and, um, similar to how we briefed, uh, this body. And last night we
- , um, presented to the zoning and planning commission. Um, now neither of the planning commission or zoning and planning
- commission have made recommendations yet. So next slide. So next we are planning ongoing back to the planning commission on
- we'll probably go back and get a final recommendation on the 27th of the zoning and planning commission, um, indicated they
- , but I also was remembering when I used to be on the zoning and planning commission. I was at that time thinking
- initiate ordinances. It has to go through either city council initiating it or planning commission has to initiate it
- at the, we can maybe request planning commission, but we've um, because of the LDC rewrite, um, all effort had been
- has been a resolution from planning commission to do something very similar to this for affordability unlocked project. So
- will be going to planning commission and zoning and planning commission as well as city council. So all of
- planning commission is next week, they will probably not take a action next week as well, and will, um
- , uh, making sure that zap knows that and planning commission knows that next time we talk to them. And if

- Then it is 6 0 5 on Tuesday, September 6th. I'm going to call this meeting of the zoning and planning commission to order first. We're going to
- codes and ordinances joint committee, and we gave the planning commission a briefing as well. Next slide. Um, tomorrow evening
- this to the planning commission on the 13th. Um, they have indicated that they may take another couple of weeks
- should have a draft ordinance, uh, in time for the planning commission backup for planning commission's review attachment B as
- amendments as they're being presented and an additional request that either council or the planning commission initiate amendments to
- the planning commission or counseling. And then, uh, one of the final sections of the staff report is a summary
- environmental commission, uh, uh, zap of course, and planning commission. So those will of course be reviewed by staff
- would address, um, an initiated code amendment that planning commission initiated several months ago that would, um, basically do
- recommendations for any, any recommendation will be in my Planning commission. I have to see what planning commission says. Yes
- will take it. Okay. We're moving on to item number 14, nominate a member of the zoning and planning commission to

- , um, and then early November to planning commission for their recommendations on the draft plan. And then the early December
- plan goes back away. Actually, I think it was a planning commission when that was first presented, you know, 2014
- addition of the planning commission recommendations of which there were, I believe about 23 of them, if I recall correctly
- , plus the planning commission amendments plus council member, television members. Okay. Thank you, mayor, if you come back to me
- , I believe it was the planning commission that talked about an entirely different number. And so I guess my point was
- was a planning commission we passed. I think the motion on the table was planning commission's recommendation with these
- intent that those amendments substituted in for any relevant planning commission amendments. So in the same way, the planning
- commission made, made their motion and modified the staff recommendation. And that way the amendments modified the planning commission recommendations
- that approach, as opposed to what I think, I believe what we incorporated was simply planning commission plus city
- intended to modify planning commission. So, which is, I guess I thought the way we sort of always handled zoning yeah
- planning commission motion, whatever the council passed is the final word on, on where we are at the moment. Yeah. I
- precise. I thought that what we voted on was planning commission and then amended on top of it, what council member
- that, um, were asked for by the planning commission as well as by, uh, the city council. Um, specifically
- , to adhere to some of the other affordability requests from those, from the planning commission, as well as the
- it to the planning commission. There was, uh, some delays and then beginning a chance to meet they've given
- suggestions coming from the Parkland from a planning commission are going to be involved in probably more than we
- the stakeholders in that process, some people in the planning commission, uh, it seemed as if, if we could
- the other kinds of outstanding questions. The other questions that came up from the planning commission, except for
- , represent the work of the planning commission, uh, if there are those, because incorporate them, if not, then
