- another proposed, um, uh, approach to look at V that's making its way through the planning commission right now that one
- intent of this one. There's other avenues that the planning commission is talking about the right now. Thank you mayor
- , um, in the future or, um, with the VMU item, moving through planning commission, it's something that the council could
- a public process involving planning, commission and council. But if this is, uh, administratively, um, accessible to that tract
- the planning commission, the planning commission initiated a process of looking at V1, the existing BMU, um, that will
- be coming to planning commission in December. So passing this now we'll let this option of an additional height
- for a VMU to also be considered by planning commission at the same time. So it will catch up this
- process because this process is designed to catch up with the planning commission in December. And so we've talked
- to staff about that. We've talked to the folks at the planning commission also. So I just want to make
- planning commission initiated that code amendment. So I was just aligning with that, but it doesn't have to be
- we'll just deal with VMU one. When that comes to us from the planning commission, Or we can move forward
- , the thing about it is I don't want to, uh, the planning commission has been working very hard on, on
- would have it to review if you wanted to, at the same time we're reviewing what? The planning commission spring
- it comes back to the planning commission in January, hopefully you can have data for us to look at cows
- to be doing subject to us. Having a discussion is on November 30th, subject to the planning commission, bringing us
- conversation about BMU one that is already happening at planning commission. It makes no sense to separate them that way
- to come back to us. It will go through the discussion process at the planning commission. So I really, I
- trying to streamline the VM two process with planning commission, with the VMU one that's already happening. I don't
- all required to be addressed at site plan with a new Tia planning commission approved conditional use permit, updated
- , and the, and the issue is, is since we finished the planning commission meeting, the neighborhood has not contacted
- extremely fast from planning commission to here today. Um, and I would recommend that we, um, in the future
- , or cause we're actively advising neighbors on those other cases that are coming up for planning commission soon as
- actually going on in that area. We went back and forth with actual community benefits, even planning commission was
- request was for SF six. Okay. What does that do to, I think the zoning implant planning commission had
- calibration, can you have that data back? Uh, at some point we're going to get the recommendation from the planning
- commission. Those will be the same questions I'll be asking then. So if we could be getting that data in
- the meantime so that we're able to actually act the very first time we get this from the planning
- commission, that'll be, that'll be helpful. Is that work? Mira, can you provide some clarity on what you mean by
- out of 5% to 10, we did that because we were picking up what's coming to us from the planning
- commission. But what it says in code right now with regard to is the 5%. And then you see right
- be clear. I hope to be able to support at least this and more as it comes back from the planning
- commission. I just want us to have data when we make those kinds of changes. That's all. All right. So
- over six months ago. Um, you know, that's the last part that we needed before we went before planning
- commission. And so we actually, um, gave a copy of our Tia to the neighborhood to review. Um, they came

- And had four 16, I'm going to bring this meeting of the planning commission to order. And, um, I guess, uh, look quick. We'll do roll
- meeting of all the land use sports planning, commission, zap, and the board of adjustment. Um, I don't know, uh, that our tour
- . Uh, I haven't missed a single planning commission meeting since I was elected as chair of the board of adjustment. And if I
- Sure. Commissioner leads and Everett. So, um, as you recall, uh, the planning commissions on any planning commission often utilized, um
- requirements. As you remember, we initiated that a planning commission. I want to say July. Um, and it is at last in front
- I adjourn anything else? Okay, we're going to go into adjourn. This meeting of the planning commission at 4 26. Thank you very much. shrimp.

- Until order. And it tonight's Tuesday, November 16, 20, 21 zoning and planning commission meeting. And it looks like it's about six, so eight, but
- environmental variances can come here or planning commission depending on whether there's a neighborhood plan. Okay. Thank you. And
- , Austin, Texas 78, 7 0 1. And the zoning and planning commission 2022 meeting schedule and co-sponsors are me and commissioner king. And
- maybe upcoming business is that the board of adjustment chair, Jessica Cohn is proposing a joint meeting with the planning
- commission, which has chair Shaw has already signed on to, um, to discuss the PDC. And it would be proposed for the

- , and this is the, uh, November 9th meeting at the planning commission here at council chambers. And we'll start with the roll call one
- case? So I thank you for coming up. So if the planning commission were to grant a postponement for either two
- of, um, of losing funding, but it is what it is. So we'll do whatever the, the planning commission decides to do
- us to be the planning commission. And so I think we need to do the vote for it or against it. So can
- think the issue is that there isn't some set of things that we could create here on the planning commission, some
- . I don't think we'll get things. Uh, I, I vote that we postpone this case to, um, the December 14th planning commission meeting
- , uh, planning commission 8 31. And we're going to go ahead and hear from staff on, uh, no, we're going to take
- for the applicant pedal for three minutes, Planning commission members. You guys have sowed here for quite a while
- forward. Um, I'd like to make a motion that we postpone this to the December 14th planning commission meeting and
- it's in our, uh, you know, planning commission. We can, that is our response, you know, one of our
- , uh, it would move back to the planning commission after going to the code, uh, or this is joint committee
- just trying to think of other, it wouldn't just be planning, commission, chair commission. It would be anyone who
- create a code amendment, it goes to the codes and ordinances joint committee back to the planning commission then to
- . They can not initiate changes, do the gold only the planning commission can do that. Or the codes and
- ordinances joint committee can make a recommendation to the planning commission through that. So to add on that, as
- , instead of only planning commission that's for the code change, that's for C4 and, um, Mr. Rivera that, uh
- if we move it, then it comes to the planning commission, the planning commission that takes a vote on it
- the bylaws to include the location where we, a planning commission would meet. They've both done that already and
- comfortable voting tonight, deciding where all future planning commission meetings should be. Um, I would, I want more
- into having planning all future planning commission meetings at city hall, no matter what, then, then I'll probably
- that whatever comes before the planning commission reflects that with the understanding that we can then further vet it
- items that people had queued up hearing. None. I'm going to go ahead and turn this meeting and the planning commission at 10 32. Thank you very much. Oh, .
- you'll have the maximum 10 minutes. If the controller doesn't work just to let us know next slide, Good evening planning
- commission members, again, Alice Glasgow representing the applicant, And I'll start as soon as the presentation is Put up. So
- in your hazardous pipeline note that that's chapter 25 dash two. That is our purview on the planning
- commission. There's a whole list of restrictions related to what can be developed near a transmission of a hazardous liquid

- . Scheibel made a motion to recommend to the planning commission that the space in pub, the 3 0 5 south Congress PED is
- to the planning commission and said, board member Congress, tribal made a motion that the statesman PUD, the three or
- the recording. Okay. So all I'm asking is that we strike to recommend to the planning commission so that it just
- motion, which is recommendation to that. If that's what you said, recommendations of the planning commission, that's, that's the
- to the planning commission that the state's been FID is not superior, how does removing the planning commission change? The
- conditions. And so that's why I'm trying to take out the wording to recommend to the planning commission. I'm just saying
- to recommend to the planning commission. Okay. Can I just make a comment before we vote? And that is that I
- to the planning commission for the approval of a conditional use permit required for all site development permits on public
- project and recommendation recommendation to the planning commission for conditional use permit. Uh, this conditional use permit is required
- planning commission and hopefully, um, you would support that. I think it's, um, a pretty cool project and we
- we'll be going to the design commission in November and the planning commission in December followed by, um, bidding
- planning commission. Yeah. So, um, board members, I need you to know this might be Sammy's last meeting. She

- It is six or seven, and we're going to bring this meeting at the planning commission to order. Um, first off, we're going to do, um
- vote today is to change our rules about where the planning commission meetings are held, I know we've got a packed agenda, but
- . I would ask the planning commission to consider who this rezoning benefits in the long-term does it benefit the current
- oftentimes neighborhood groups get what they want. They come here and before the planning commission and the planning commission moves
- case next. Oh, I'm sorry. The C2 case next, which is just planning commission while we transition for the
- , that you do here on the planning commission. Want to, um, also thank the applicant, uh, for, uh, their
- asking the planning commission to help us hold the line. It's really crucial that we hold the line here. Um
- works, director Richardson, densa approved the application and directed staff to take the item to planning commission and
- the planning commission recommends and the city council approves, then, um, a plan for the development of the property
- some of them in person. So since we're at the planning commission, I thought we should discuss some of
- of the planning commission. My name is Patricia Bobak. You might recognize the name. I cleaned up east Austin
- code required it to come to the planning commission for, for a decision making process. So that was why
- not going to comment on that, but, but the process is to come to the party, to this planning commission. I
- council and they can move the planning commission. So it really all comes down to, would you mind letting me
- , TCM work group, your hard work. And we're going to turn this meeting of the planning commission at 1159 and appreciate it.
- is not the sovereign entity that makes the decision that the decision-making process for this is the planning
- commission, which is why we're here tonight is as much as I know, this is probably not their favorite part
