- . Hey everybody. Hi Alexis. I'm Rob Schneider. Uh, I'm on the planning commission and I live in district five. Thank you, Berta. Hi
- crises. And I just also wanted to, um, acknowledge what Matt said about, um, land commission, uh, planning or changes that
- commission. Um, I don't think it's a natural thing for the planet to surface for the planning commission. That stuff tends
- discussions with the planning commission share. Um, just to see if we at least need to have a little more
- would harden our physical, electrical and water infrastructure. It's not anything that has come in front of the planning

- We have a quorum of the planning commission. I'm going to go ahead and bring this meeting to order at six Oh four P N. Um, okay
- obvious that you really care about Austin and that you care about, um, the work of the planning commission. So thank you
- Seeger and commissioner Anderson, simply for just your great example. I mean, you guys are Pitta MRIs, what planning commission would
- for the developer. And I believe that all of the planning commission members have a copy of our letter, um, where
- approved with a few amendments on item. Um, some of which were the recommendations of the planning commission. And I
- the site, both from Tumi road and West Riverside drive, which was a recommendation and planning commission, or I'm sorry
- to questions and we'd be open to any feedback that the planning commission wants to share with the team and
- , tonight's agenda where, um, planning commission is still able to make recommendations for LDC, uh, amendments, uh, for whatever
- right now to the applicants, to board of adjustment. It's been in front of planning commission since may of 2020, and
- Jerry to planning commission on the, uh, on the May, 2020 agenda. Uh, and, and it was to correct a mistake
- commissioner Shea. Okay. So we'll bring this up at the, uh, uh, future planning commission meeting. Okay. All right. Are
- to the planning commission as a whole will be, you know, we hope better, better prepared to answer the question. So
- , thank you very much. Uh, we are going to turn here to the planning commission. It's seven 51. Thank you very much. .

- you. And then mayor, you had the planning commission appointments as well on this, right? That's right. Thank you for that. Um
- complaints, as you will recall, um, on the planning commission, uh, item, uh, there was some question about whether or not there were
- broader, uh, in terms of, uh, how, how we employed, uh, planning commission members and how we give everyone equal access to
- planning commission, uh, appointments, um, uh, to make sure that we were all reconciled. We have people that have started to make
- planning commission appointments. We had a cast member pool last week. And as we talked about last week, uh, her appointment was
- to do a tiny introduction, which you've kind of handled, um, which really has to do with the, um, the planning commission requirements
- . The planning commission requirements are set up in the charter, and those are the ones that, uh, indicate that there are
- , um, we, this was kind of highlighted in 2018 because the city was sued or are individual members of the planning commission were
- planning commission alleging that they were, um, they shouldn't be on there because of this conflict with the charter on the number
- requirements of the charter. And, um, the people in the lawsuit changed over time because the members of the planning commission changed
- , there were a couple of changes that impacted the planning commission. One is, um, they said a term start date of July 1st
- , um, for planning commission members, but a March 1st for the other commission members. This was to give everyone a time to get
- that time, their membership was, uh, two years set term. Um, and so that left, um, going forward, the planning commission members
- members for the planning commission still have a two year term, you will need to reappoint or appoint a new member at
- of people who were related directly or indirectly to, to real estate. Um, we, we represented the individuals on the planning
- commission. Those members, uh, made arguments among, among them, uh, was that the council has deference to decide who meets the
- had a July 1st start date. Um, we corrected that, um, since then through a charter amendment, um, to set the planning
- commission, um, terms to up to two years, um, and eliminated the July 1st, um, start date for the terms. Um, so this will allow
