I DO BELIEVE WE ARE READY TO GET STARTED.

OKAY, GREAT.

OKAY.

FIRST

[Call to Order]

I'M GOING TO CALL ROLL COMMISSIONER ACOSTA.

GREAT.

UH, VICE CHAIR.

BERRERA RAMIREZ HERE.

COMMISSIONER BRAY? YES.

COMMISSIONER KING.

OH, SORRY.

COMMISSIONER DINKLER COMMISSIONER DANCLER OH, THERE YOU.

OKAY.

COMMISSIONER KING HERE, KIM.

UM, I'M HERE.

COMMISSIONER KOBASA COMMISSIONER RAY.

YES.

COMMISSIONER SMITH HERE.

COMMISSIONER THOMPSON HERE AND COMMISSIONER WOODY.

YEAH.

AND WELCOME COMMISSIONER WOODY.

NICE TO SEE YOU AND FINALLY MEET YOU.

AND NEXT WE HAVE NOBODY SIGNED UP FOR CITIZENS COMMUNICATIONS OR TO SPEAK ON A CASE.

IS THAT CORRECT? CHAIR COMMISSION IS ON THE ANDREW RIVERA.

WE DO HAVE A MEMBER OF SIGN UP FOR CITIZENS COMMUNICATION.

I'M MISSING THE NOVIA JOSEPH.

OH MY GOSH.

OKAY.

AND I SHOULD HAVE, I KNEW THAT SHE HAD, SHE HAD EMAILED ME ABOUT THAT.

OKAY.

I AM SO STAR, SORRY, MS. JOSEPH.

SO, UM,

[Citizen Communication]

FIRST, WHY DON'T WE DO CITIZEN? UH, WHY DON'T WE DO THE CITIZEN COMMUNICATION AND THEN WE'LL DO THE CONSENT AGENDA.

AND HOW DOES THAT WORK? SO, MS. JOSEPH, ARE YOU, UM, ARE YOU, ARE YOU THERE? AND IF SHE ISN'T, THEN WE CAN DO THE CONSENT AGENDA AND CIRCLE BACK TO HER ON CITIZEN COMMUNICATION.

I DO YOU HAVE MS. JOSEPH PRESENT MS. JOSEPH, IF YOU WILL SELECT STAR SIX ON YOUR PHONE.

THANK YOU.

MADAM CHAIR MEMBERS.

UM, AS ENOVIA JOSEPH, I JUST WANTED TO MAKE A FEW COMMENTS.

APRIL IS NATIONAL FAIR HOUSING MONTH.

SO MADAM CHAIR, I JUST WANTED TO RECOMMEND THAT AT SOME POINT YOU GET A MAP THAT HAS AN OVERLAY OF WHERE THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS ARE, BUT I WOULD ASK YOU TO RECOGNIZE THE NEED TO GET THAT OVERLY WITH THE AREA MEDIAN, FAMILY INCOME.

AND THE REASON I AM ASKING YOU TO REVIEW THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING UNITS IN THAT MANNER IS BECAUSE 80% AREA MEDIAN, FAMILY INCOME IS ABOVE WITH AFRICAN-AMERICANS AND MANY HISPANICS MATE AREA, MEDIAN FAMILY INCOME.

WHEN IT'S 80% IS ABOUT $54,700, AND AFRICAN-AMERICANS MAKE ABOUT $42,422 IN HISPANICS MAKE ABOUT 50,000.

IT WAS REVERSED IN 2016, ACCORDING TO AUSTIN CHRONICLE AT ANY RATE, IT'S STILL LESS THAN WHAT WE MAKE.

I JUST WANT TO CALL YOUR ATTENTION TO THE AREAS THAT ARE SPECIFICALLY ON THE GOLD LINE.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE AUSTIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE HIGHLAND AREA, IT'S 80% AREA, MEDIAN, FAMILY INCOME, AND THAT'S THE ONLY AFFORDABLE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT THAT WOULD BE THERE WITH THE MARKET RATE APARTMENTS AND THE DEVELOPER, AS WELL AS THE INDIVIDUALS IN THE AREA DID NOT WANT LORE AREA, MEDIAN, FAMILY INCOME.

SO IT CREATES A DISPARATE IMPACT WHEN THE PROPERTIES ARE WEST OF LOOP ONE IT'S 80% AREA, MEDIAN, FAMILY INCOME THAT IS EQUIVALENT TO WHAT A TEACHER MAKES OR A SOCIAL WORKER.

IN OTHER WORDS, THE PROFESSIONALS LIVE WEST OF LOOT ONE, WHEREAS THE LOWER INCOME INDIVIDUALS ARE STILL CONDENSED IN THE NORTHEAST AREA.

I WOULD JUST CALL YOUR ATTENTION SPECIFICALLY TO THE DECEMBER, 1720 20 HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN BOARD MEETING.

THAT'S WHERE THE DISCREPANCY WAS MENTIONED ABOUT THE AUSTIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE HIGHLAND AREA.

I WOULD ALSO CALL YOUR ATTENTION TO THE DECEMBER 10TH, 2020 BOARD PACKAGE FOR TRAVIS COUNTY COMMISSIONER'S COURT, WHERE THEY ACTUALLY APPROVED NINE UNITS OF HOUSING, AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND F Y UH, 2019 2020 TIMEFRAME.

AND THE APARTMENTS THAT ARE IN NOT FAR NORTHEAST AND NORTHWEST AUSTIN ARE NOT SOUTH EAST AUSTIN.

MY APOLOGIES, UM, THE BUS STOP IS ABOUT ONE TO FIVE MILES AWAY.

AND SO I JUST THINK IT'S IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO RECOGNIZE THOSE TWO FACTORS.

AND THEN LASTLY, I WOULD JUST CALL YOUR ATTENTION TO THE BUDGET, TO THE EXTENT THAT YOU'RE ABLE TO MAKE A RECOMMENDATION.

I WOULD JUST ASK YOU TO RECOGNIZE THAT PROJECT CONNECT

[00:05:01]

ELIMINATED THE BUS ON PALMER.

SO PALMER, UM, METRO RAPID IS NO LONGER THERE.

IT WAS $4.7 MILLION AND THAT'S IN THE 2045 CAMPO PLAN.

AND I WOULD JUST TELL YOU THAT, UH, JUST LAST WEEK, COUNCIL APPROVED $650,000 FOR THE MAYOR'S NONPROFIT.

BASICALLY IT'S ECUADOR IS THE NAME OF IT.

AND YOU WILL SEE A PICTURE OF A CAPITAL METRO BUS, WHICH WAS DONATED FOR FOOD.

UM, AND SO I JUST WANT TO GIVE YOU THOSE AS REFERENCES.

SO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE 60 MINUTE ROUTES IN BLACK NEIGHBORHOODS STILL EXISTS COMPARED TO SIX TO 15 SOUTHWESTERN CENTRAL.

SO THOSE ARE MY COMMENTS.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, I'LL GLADLY ANSWER THEM AT THIS TIME.

AND OF COURSE IT'S IN THE CONTEXT OF TITLE SIX OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964.

AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR TAKING MY PHONE.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH MS. JOSEPH, AND I BELIEVE BECAUSE IT CITIZENS COMMUNICATION, WE CANNOT ASK YOU ANY QUESTIONS AND I'M REALLY SORRY ABOUT THAT, BUT CIRCLE BACK, UM, I'LL REACH OUT TO YOU AND, WELL, I SHOULDN'T SAY ANY MORE, BUT I HAVE, I HAVE, UM, I WOULD LOVE TO TALK TO YOU.

THANK YOU.

AND THANK YOU.

AND THEN NEXT ONTO

[Reading of the Agenda]

[Consent Agenda]

OUR AGENDA AND PEOPLE, FOLKS, UM, IF YOU HAVEN'T MUTED, UM, YOU MIGHT AS WELL GO AHEAD AND MUTE FOR A LITTLE BIT.

AND WHILE I READ THE, WHILE I READ THE CONSENT AGENDA AND I'M PULLING IT UP ON MY SCREEN RIGHT NOW, AND THAT IS, UM, THE FOUR ON THE CONSENT AGENDA, A ONE OR THE MINUTES FROM MARCH 16TH.

OKAY.

I NEED TO PULL THOSE FOR CORRECTIONS.

OH, OKAY.

OKAY.

THANKS.

AND DO YOU WANT TO PULL THEM FOR A DISCUSSION OR DO YOU JUST BECAUSE WE SIMPLY NEED TO CORRECT.

UH, THE MINUTES TO REFLECT THAT THERE WAS A MOTION PRIOR, UH, TO THE ONE RECORDED THAT MR. KING MOVED MF TWO ON THE, UM, MF TWO WITH THE TRANSPORTATION CONDITIONS SPELLED OUT IN THE MINUTES AND MR. WOODY SECONDED THAT, AND THE VOTE WAS FOUR TO FIVE AND THAT JUST NEEDS TO BE ADDED TO THE MINUTES.

SO YES, ANDREW.

SO, UH, PER THE COURT'S, UH, PROCEDURE, THE LAST MOTION AS TO WHAT'S REFLECTED IN THE MINUTES, UH, UM, HEY THEN LET US, LET US PULL, LET US POSTPONE THOSE MINUTES BECAUSE THAT IS NEW.

AND I, UM, I I'D LIKE TO INVESTIGATE THAT A LITTLE BIT MORE.

I MEAN, AND LET'S POST IF IT'S OKAY.

CAN, UM, WE'LL POST.

YES.

AND WE CAN, WE'LL HAVE A MOTION ON THAT LATER LET'S THEN, UM, IT'LL BE IN A DISCUSSION ITEM.

SO THEN FOR THAT IS NOT ON THE APPROVAL ON THE CONSENT AGENDA.

AND THEN THE REST OF THE CONSENT AGENDA B ONE WAS WITHDRAWN BY THE APPLICANT AND THIS AFTERNOON.

SO THERE WILL BE NO ACTION TAKEN.

ALTHOUGH PERSONALLY, I QUESTIONED WHY IT WAS ON OUR AGENDA.

LAST MEETING DISCUSSED FOR 35 MINUTES.

AND THEN, UM, THEN WE GET AN, A LETTER SAYING IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE CURRENT SITE PLAN IS COMPLETE AND THEREFORE NO SUB NOT SUBJECT TO EXPIRE.

SO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE KNOWN THIS BEFORE WE ALL READ OUR BACKUP AND THEN B TO THROUGH, UM, B3, B2, B3, AND B6 ARE RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL BEFORE IS RECOMMENDED WITH THE CONDITIONS LISTED IN THE STAFF REPORT.

B FIVE IS CONSENT DISAPPROVAL FOR THE REASON LISTED IN EXHIBIT C OF THE STAFF REPORT.

AND THAT IS OUR CONSENT AGENDA.

DOES, UM, UNLESS ANYBODY WANTS TO PULL ANY OF THOSE ITEMS, UH, COMMISSIONER, COMMISSIONER SMITH, I BELIEVE YOU READ IN ITEMS SIX B SIX.

OH, DID I SKIP THAT? AND DID YOU KNOW BEFORE YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT IT HAS THAT RECOMMENDATIONS? YES.

AND B SIX.

OH GOSH, I SEE THAT.

AND B6 IS ALSO RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL.

THANK YOU FOR POINTING THAT OUT.

IT WAS IN MY NOTES, BUT I READ TOO FAST.

SO ALL THOSE CHAMBERS ON ANDREW RIVERA.

OKAY.

YES.

SO IF WE CAN HOPE FOR B6 THAT IT'S PER THE PLANT NOTE AS REFLECTED IN THE LIGHT BACKUP EXHIBIT A OH, OKAY.

THANKS PER THE PLAT NOTE.

AS IT AS, AS, AS LISTED IN LATE IN EXHIBIT A, DOES THAT WORK? I WILL MAKE THAT

[00:10:01]

MOTION THREE FOR, UH, AGAIN, THE ITEMS TWO THROUGH V6 AS NOTED IN THESE INTO, OKAY, GREAT COMMISSIONER, UH, KING.

YES.

CHERYL, I JUST PUT IT IN, MAKE SURE THAT ITEM FOUR, UM, ARMADILLO PARKS, UH, THAT IS RECOMMENDED WITH CONDITIONS YES.

WITH CONSTITUENTS AS IN THE STAFF REPORT.

YES.

RIGHT.

OKAY.

THANK YOU.

AND ALSO, UH, I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS THE TIME, PLEASE SHOW ME ON, ON ITEM FOUR AS A ABSTAINING.

OKAY.

OKAY.

SO YOU'RE GOING TO ABSTAIN ON ITEM FOUR ON BEEF BEFORE OR SO.

OKAY.

SO, BUT, UM, EMOTION TO FORGET EVERYTHING ELSE.

WELL, WE'LL DO THAT.

WELL, WHEN WE DO THE VOTE FIRST, WE NEED A MOTION OR THERE WAS A MOTION FROM COMMISSIONER SMITH, SECONDED BY VICE CHAIR, RAILROAD MERITS, ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF THE CONSENT AGENDA.

PLEASE RAISE YOUR HANDS.

AND IT'S UNANIMOUS.

AND THEN NOTED BY COMMISSIONER KING.

HE IS ABSTAINING ON ITEM BEFORE NO POST.

AND THAT IS AND CONDITIONER.

RIGHT.

I HEARD YOUR TAKE.

THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT, SHE WAS MUTED.

SORRY.

YOU'RE STILL BEING, YOU ARE SO MUTED.

OKAY.

THERE WE GO.

HEY, I NEED A BATH, UM, COMMISSIONER SMITH.

YOU WERE INCLUDING CLOSING THE HEARINGS AND I DID WANT MAKE SURE I UNDERSTOOD WHICH PLANT WE WERE APPROVING ON, ON A B6.

UM, IT IS, UH, THE PLANT HAS NOTED WITH THAT COMMENT ON BEFORE, AND I'LL BE SICK.

THAT, THAT IS NOTED IN THE, UH, AS AMENDED BY STAFF.

CAN YOU CLOSE THE HEARING CLOSED THE HEARING? YES.

YES.

ALL OF THE ABOVE.

ABSOLUTELY.

SO, AND NOW THAT WE GOT THAT CLARIFIED.

OKAY.

THANK YOU.

AND THEN NOW WE HAVE A MINUTES, A ONE.

AND DO YOU WANT, UM, YEAH.

SHOULD WE POST, OH YEAH.

EXCUSE ME.

OH, COMMISSIONER SMITH ON THE CONSENT AGENDA.

YES.

AND EVERYBODY'S HANDS WAS RAISED AND I NOTED THAT COMMISSIONER KING HAD, UM, ABSTAINED ON THAT ONE ITEM BEFORE.

SO NOW WE ARE BACK TO THE A ONE

[A. APPROVAL OF MINUTES]

MINUTES I HAD, I W WE CAN PASS THEM AS THEY ARE OR WEAKNESS, BUT THIS IS A NEW DIRECTION FROM THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE THAT I HADN'T SEEN.

YES.

YES.

SO I, UH, ACTUALLY, UM, REVIEWED THE PROTOCOL AND THE MAIN MOTION WILL BE LISTED IF IT'S THE COMMISSION'S DESIRE.

OH, OKAY.

OKAY.

UM, PERS, UM, THAT'S, UH, I I'LL JUST SAY AS SOMEBODY WHO DID THIS STUFF AS A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT A GAZILLION YEARS AGO, UM, I ALWAYS THINK IT'S A GOOD IDEA, UM, UH, TO LIST ALL THE MOTIONS SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT WAS CONSIDERED AND WHAT THE DISCUSSION IS SINCE IT'S OUR, IT IS OUR RECORD AND IT IS SOMETHING THAT WE REFER TO, OR AT LEAST I DO PERSONALLY, UM, FOR WHEN I DO REPORTS FOR MY APPOINTING COUNCIL MEMBER.

SO IS THERE ANY OTHER, I MEAN, AND SO, I MEAN, BUT I'M HAPPY TO HEAR DISAGREEMENTS OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT.

COMMISSIONER KING, WELL, CHAIR, YOU KNOW, SERVING AS THE, AS THE SECRETARY, THIS IS TIME TO, YOU KNOW, FOR THIS MEETING, I WOULD PREFER TO POSTPONE THIS SO THAT WE CAN GET THAT MOTION ADDED TO THE MINUTES, AND WE CAN LOOK AT THEM, YOU KNOW, IN ADVANCE OF THE NEXT MEETING.

SO, AND, AND, UH, AND MAYBE GET SOME MORE BACKGROUND INFORMATION FROM STAFF ON THE, ON THE, YOU KNOW, THE PROTOCOL FOR, FOR THE MINUTES.

SO, SO I MOVE THAT.

WE POSTPONE THE MINUTES UNTIL OUR NEXT MEETING MOTION BY COMMISSIONER KING.

IS THERE A SECOND ON POSTPONING, THE MINUTES UNTIL THE NEXT MEETING AND EMOTION AND SECONDED BY WOODY AND ANY FURTHER DISCUSSION ON THE POSTPONING, THE MINUTES COMMISSIONER KING.

AND I AM, YES.

[00:15:01]

JUST TO BE CLEAR THAT OUR NEXT MEETING IS GOING TO BE ON, UH, APRIL 20TH.

YES.

WELL, THAT WOULD BE APRIL 20TH.

THANK YOU, CHAIR.

OKAY.

AND I REALIZE ONE THING IS THAT I HAVE NOT GRABBED THE POWER TO, IF YOU ALL WANT TO JUST RAISE YOUR, I HAVEN'T GRABBED THE LITTLE ICON, SO I'M GONNA GRAB THE LITTLE ICON THINGY SO I CAN SEE THIS, THE LITTLE HANDS RAISING, BUT I AM NOT, I AM NOT DOING THAT RIGHT NOW, SO, OKAY.

NOW I AM, SO I AM NOW OFFICIALLY.

SO IF YOU WANT TO RAISE YOUR LITTLE ICON HANDS, UM, THEN IF THERE ARE ANY OTHER DISCUSSION OR, WELL, WE CAN JUST HAVE A VOTE.

UM, AND I BELIEVE I SEE COMMISSIONER BRAY.

I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE SINCE WE HAVE SOME NEW COMMISSIONERS THAT THEY, EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS HOW TO RAISE THEIR HAND, WHAT WE'RE DOING.

OKAY.

OH, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MR. THOMPSON AND COMMISSIONER WOODY.

UM, AND I'LL ACTUALLY, YEAH, THAT IS A REALLY GOOD POINT.

AND IT WAS COMMISSIONER BRAY WHO INTRODUCED US TO THE LITTLE HAND ICON.

YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN IT? CAUSE I DON'T THINK I COULD EXPLAIN.

SURE.

SO IF YOU SEE AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF YOUR SCREEN, THERE'S YOUR PARTICIPANT.

AND IF YOU OPEN THAT AND YOU GO TO YOUR NAME, UH, YOU'LL SEE A LITTLE ICON THAT SAYS LIKE, UH, THERE'S A LITTLE HAND ICON THAT APPEARS.

AND IF YOU PRESS ON THAT ICON, IT'LL RAISE YOUR HAND AND YOU CAN SEE LIKE RAISE HAND AND LOWER HAND.

I JUST SAW YOU DO IT, COMMISSIONER THOMPSON.

UM, AND WE USE THAT WHEN PEOPLE ARE LIKE DISCUSSING THINGS.

AND WHEN I, YOU KNOW, RAISE OUR HAND TO THE TYPE OF DISCUSSION AND TAKE TURNS TALKING, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

OKAY.

THANKS.

AND YEAH, WE, WE COULD DO A PRACTICE RUN SOMEDAY.

WELL, NO, I'M JUST KIDDING ON THAT.

SO, OKAY.

WE HAVE, SO WE, ANYBODY ELSE WANT TO DISCUSS, AND IF NOT, THEN WE'LL HAVE A VOTE, ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF POSTPONING UNTIL THE NEXT MEETING, WHICH IS APRIL 20TH, THE MINUTES, UH, A ONE, UH, PLEASE RAISE YOUR HAND WHERE I CAN SEE THEM.

OKAY.

IT IS UNANIMOUS.

OKAY.

THANK YOU.

AND SO, AND A VERY GOOD POINT, AND WE CAN ALSO JUST SET UP PROTOCOL FOR HOW TO DO THE MINUTES.

AND THEN THE NEXT ITEM IS

[C. ITEMS FROM THE COMMISSION]

A C1, WHICH IS ALWAYS ON THIS AGENDA, DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING MATTERS RELATING TO ANY RELATED, TO ANY PROPOSED REVISIONS OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE.

UH, I AND VICE CHAIR, BERBERE RAMIREZ ARE CO-SPONSORS, BUT I'LL BET THERE WAS NOTHING GOING ON OR ELSE WE WOULD HAVE PROBABLY BEEN ALERTED.

AND I'LL JUST LOOK AT YOU ALL, BUT NOPE.

OKAY.

THEN THE FUTURE

[D. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS]

AGENDA ITEMS, IS THERE ANYTHING YOU WANT LISTED FOR THE NEXT AGENDA? ANY PRESENTATIONS, ANY TOPICS, ANYTHING, AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO SAY NOW, JUST, AND FOR THE NEW COMMISSIONERS, IT REQUIRES ANOTHER SPONSOR.

AND GENERALLY THAT'S NOT HARD TO DO THAT'S I DON'T THINK THAT'S EVER BEEN AN ISSUE.

UM, AND WE CAN DISCUSS SOMETHING THAT, UM, OR WE CAN HAVE A PRESENTATION, LIKE VICE CHAIR, BURRELL RAMIREZ HAS SEEN SOME PRESENTATIONS THROUGH HER WORK.

AND SO THAT'S BEEN GOOD.

SO, AND IT, AND SO A CHAIR, I MEAN CHAIR, HUH? UM, SO, UH, BUT SO VICE CHAIR, BOROUGH, RAMIREZ, THANK YOU FOR THAT LAST PRESENTATION.

AND I SEE THAT COMMISSIONER SMITH HAS HIS HAND UP.

YEAH.

ONE THING I'VE, I'VE HAD PRESENTATION TAKEN BEFORE THE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION WAS FROM THE CITY DEMOGRAPHER AND IT WAS A REALLY GOOD PRESENTATION.

IT'D BE WORTHWHILE TO HAVE THE, I GET THE NEW CITY MOC FOR, UM, AND TALK TO ARGUE, JUST GIVE A PRESENTATION ON KIND OF THE DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN.

THAT IS, THAT IS A GREAT IDEA.

AND I, I, I HOPE LAST I CHECKED, THEY HADN'T HIRED SOMEBODY, BUT I'M SURE THEY'VE HIRED SOMEBODY.

YEAH.

OKAY, GOOD.

AWESOME.

OH, OKAY.

PUT IT ON FOR THE NEXT AGENDA.

OKAY.

YEAH.

I AM HAPPY TO CO-SPONSOR THAT.

UM, AND WITH COMMISSIONER SMITH, THAT IS A GREAT IDEA.

AND WE USED TO GET THOSE UPDATES BEFORE, SO THAT WAS GREAT.

AND, AND I SEE COMMISSIONER KING.

OKAY.

THANK YOU, CHAIR.

AND I JUST LISTENING TO OUR, OUR SPEAKER TONIGHT, UH, UH, AT THE BEGINNING OF THE MEETING, UH, UH, MS. JOSEPH, I THINK THIS WOULD BE A GOOD OPPORTUNITY TO TRY TO ADDRESS HER REQUEST FOR INFORMATION, THE DEMOGRAPHICS, YOU KNOW, ON INCOMES AND THEN THE LOCATION OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING

[00:20:01]

UNITS.

I THINK THAT FITS RIGHT IN, BUT COMMISSIONER SMITH, THANK YOU FOR, FOR SUGGESTING THAT ITEM.

I THINK IT'S VERY IMPORTANT.

THANK YOU.

OH, ABS.

YEAH, ABSOLUTELY.

AND I THINK, UM, THAT IS A GOOD REQUEST WE CAN BEFORE OUR NEXT MEETING, WELL IN ADVANCE AND WE DON'T KNOW IF THE DEMOGRAPHER WILL BE ABLE TO DO A PRESENTATION, BUT DEFINITELY LINE UP OUR QUESTIONS.

THAT'S A GREAT IDEA.

UM, WHAT KIND OF DATA SHE OR HE IS, UM, AS AVAILABLE AND COULD INCLUDE IN THE PRESENTATION.

SO THAT'S A GREAT IDEA.

AND ANY OTHER, UM, ANY OTHER ITEMS FOR FUTURE AGENDA? WELL, THANK YOU, COMMISSIONER SMITH.

I, THAT IS THAT'S GREAT.

AND THEN THE BIG THING, NOMINATIONS,

[E. NOMINATIONS & ELECTIONS]

NOMINATION AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS.

AND AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, I AM TERM LIMITED.

I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR, FOR A LITTLE OVER FOUR YEARS CAUSE I TOOK OVER SOMEBODY'S TERM.

SO IS THERE, UM, I SEE COMMISSIONER DINKLER COMMISSIONER DINKLER OKAY.

I THINK I FINALLY DID IT RIGHT.

UM, YEAH, DON'T LAUGH.

DON'T LAUGH SMITH.

UM, I WOULD LIKE TO NOMINATE FOR CHAIR, COMMISSIONER NORDEA FOR RERA RAMIREZ.

UM, I'D ALSO LIKE TO NOMINATE, UH, FOR VICE CHAIR, UM, COMMISSIONER COLE, BICEP.

UM, I'M HAPPY TO CONTINUE ON FOR PARLIAMENTARIAN, BUT IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED, THEY PLEASE SPEAK UP.

I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE WAS STILL INTERESTED IN SECRETARIAL WORK, UH, THE SECRETARY POSITION, BUT I'D LIKE TO AT LEAST GET THAT LAID OUT FOR PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT.

I, I THINK WE'VE GOT SOME GOT HIGH CALIBER CANDIDATES.

I'M REALLY THRILLED ABOUT THIS.

UM, AND I SEE COMMISSIONER KING, UM, AND ACTUALLY LET ME, UH, VICE-CHAIR BERRERA RAMIREZ AND THEN I'LL GET TO COMMISSIONER KING.

I SAW HIS LITTLE HAND UP, UH, VICE-CHAIR BREWER.

RAMIREZ.

DO YOU WANT TO BE CHAIR? SURE.

OKAY, GREAT.

AND, UM, THEN COMMISSIONER, CAN YOU HAD YOUR HAND UP? YES.

THANK YOU CHAIR.

AND YOU KNOW, UH, IF NO ONE ELSE IS INTERESTED IN SERVING IN THE SECRETARY CAPACITY, I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO, BUT I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE ANYBODY ELSE OUT OF AN OPPORTUNITY.

SO IF NO ONE ELSE WANTS TO DO THAT, I WOULD GO, BUT PLEASE RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU WOULD LIKE THAT.

THANK YOU.

SO, AND I SEE EVERYBODY RUSHING FOR YES.

AND SO THAT IS THEN ARE, IF I'M NOT GOING TO BELABOR THE POINT I'M GOING TO, WE CAN GET OUT OF HERE SOON, BUT NO, BUT IF ANYBODY ELSE WANTS TO DO ANYTHING, I DON'T WANT TO RUSH IT, BUT THAT WOULD BE OUR SLATE.

UM, AND FOR NOM, UH, VICE CHAIR, BERRERA RAMIREZ WOULD BECOME CHAIR FOR RARE RAMIREZ.

I WOULD BECOME VICE CHAIR AND LIKE THE VICE PRESIDENT AND THEN, UM, SECRETARY KING AND PARLIAMENTARIAN DAN DANCLER AND ANY, UM, SO THAT'S IT.

OH, COMMISSIONER ACOSTA.

THANK YOU.

JUST WANTED TO ASK, DO I NEED, DOES ANYONE NEED TO SECOND THAT IF, SO I DO NOW NEED, I READ MY ROBERT'S RULES OF ORDER.

OKAY.

I'M GLAD YOU'RE PARLIAMENTARIAN.

THANK YOU.

YES.

AND OKAY THEN, UM, THEN W UH, ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF THE SLATE THAT I JUST SLATED.

RAISE YOUR HAND.

OKAY, GREAT.

IT'S UNANIMOUS.

AND THANK YOU, ESPECIALLY CHAIR COMING, CHAIR, BURRELL RAMIREZ.

AND I WANT TO JUST THANK EVERYBODY AT THE STAFF LEVEL, WHO HAS REALLY HELPED, AND I WILL PASS ON NAMES AND CONTEXTS LIKE ANDREW RIVERA HAS BEEN GREAT.

AND, UM, FOR MY FOUR YEARS AS CHAIR AND JERRY RUSS TOBIN JOY HARDEN AND THE TECH PEOPLE AND THE ATX N PEOPLE ARE ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AND POSTING THESE VIDEOS THAT IT'S SOMETIMES REALLY IMPORTANT TO GO BACK AND LOOK AT THINGS.

SO THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I'M GLAD WE GOT THAT DONE.

AND NOW I CAN

[00:25:01]

TALK A LOT DURING THE MEETINGS.

AND SO I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT.

AND AS I THINK ONLY COMMISSIONER DINKLER WAS ON THERE WHEN I, WHEN I WAS, WHEN I BECAME CHAIR.

OKAY.

EAT TO NOMINATION AND RECOMMENDATION FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION MEMBER TO SERVE ON THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN JOINT COMMITTEE.

AND IS THERE ANYBODY WHO WANTS TO DO BEYOND THE IT'S A JOINT COMMITTEE WITH THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND WE NEED ONE PERSON TO BE ON THE JOINT COMMITTEE, COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.

AND DON'T, AGAIN, I'LL RUSH INTO THIS AT ONCE AND OH, I SEE.

OH, COMMISSIONER.

DINKLER YOUR HAND IS UP AND IT MAY BE UP FROM BEFORE.

SO ANYBODY ELSE OR JUST LIKE WAVE, UM, WE SH WE NEED TO HAVE ONE MORE ZONING AND PLANNING COMMISSION.

OKAY.

COMMISSIONER THOMPSON.

I JUST WONDERED IF THERE'S ANY MORE INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT'S INVOLVED.

OKAY.

THEN THAT I WOULD PASS ON TO COMMISSIONERS, BRAY AND SMITH.

THEY ARE ON IT AND COMMISSIONERS BRAND SMITH.

THEY'RE THERE THEY ARE.

UM, W ZONING AND PLANNING GETS THREE REPRESENTATIVES.

AND SO THEY'RE THE TWO THAT ARE ON IT RIGHT NOW.

UH, COMMISSIONER SMITH AND THEN COMMISSIONER BRAY.

YEAH.

WE GENERALLY MEET ON A, PROBABLY QUARTERLY BASIS.

UM, THIS WE HAVEN'T MET IN OVER A YEAR.

UM, OBVIOUSLY NOBODY HAS, UM, AND WE'VE TALKED ABOUT ITEMS THAT ARE UNIQUE, THE SAME, BOTH OF OUR COMMISSIONS, MAINLY AROUND RURAL REGULAR RULES AND REGULATIONS AND POLICIES AND SO FORTH, A LOT OF BIG.

AND ARE YOU GOING TO BE GETTING, THEN I HAVE A QUESTION FOR COMMISSIONER SMITH AND COMMISSIONER BRAY.

ARE YOU ALL GOING TO BE REVIEWING? THEY DO UPDATES TO THE COMPRE, LIKE FIVE YEAR UPDATES TO THE COMPANY COMPLAINING.

WILL YOU BE REVIEWING THAT ANYTIME SOON? YEAH.

I WANT TO SAY WE JUST FINISHED THAT REVIEW AT THE END OF LAST YEAR OR YEAR BEFORE HERE.

AND DO WE GET, AND THEN DO WE GET METRICS, UM, IS THERE, UM, AS TO WHAT THEY'RE MEASURING, YOU KNOW, WHAT'S BEING MEASURED IN THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.

HAVE WE HAD A PRESENTATION ON THAT LATELY? IS THAT SOMETHING YOU'VE SEEN? NOT LATELY.

OKAY.

OKAY.

OKAY.

THAT'S GOOD TO KNOW.

AND COMMISSIONER BRAY, NOT TO PUT YOU ON THE SPOT.

DID YOU WANT TO ADD ANYTHING? I'M NOT SURE IF MR. BRYAN'S EVER BEEN TO A MEETING.

OH MY GOSH.

YEAH.

THAT'S RIGHT.

WELL, TALK ABOUT IT.

YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I'VE SAID, OKAY.

COMMITTEE REPORTS AND THERE WERE NO COMMITTEE REPORTS.

SO DOES ANYBODY WANT TO STEP UP AND BE THE THIRD PERSON ON THE, AND GET TO HANG OUT WITH MORE CITY STAFF AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION, ANY VOLUNTEERS? AND IF NOT, WE CAN.

OKAY.

CAN WE STOP? POSTA THANK YOU SO MUCH.

THEN WE HAVE A NOMINEE.

AND SO, SO, SO ALL THOSE, AND SO ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF COMMISSIONER ACOSTA, BEING OUR, UM, NOMINATION TO THE JOINT COMPREHENSIVE PLAN COMMITTEE, OR THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN JOINT COMMITTEE, PLEASE RAISE YOUR HANDS.

OKAY.

THANK YOU.

AND UNLESS THERE'S THAT, IS IT.

SO HIS NAME IS GOING TO GO BEFORE COUNCIL PROBABLY AS SOON AS THURSDAY.

AND, UM, THEN I'M NOT EVEN GOING TO ASK FOR JOINT COMMITTEE REPORTS BECAUSE I KNOW THAT THEY HAVEN'T MET.

I'VE BEEN MONITORING THAT MYSELF THEN.

THAT IS IT.

THIS IS CALLED COMMISSIONER COMMISSIONER KING.

[F. COMMITTEE REPORTS & WORKING GROUPS]

YEAH.

CHAIRMAN THE SMALLER AREA PLANNING DRUG ACTUALLY HAVE A MEETING NEXT, APRIL THE 14TH NEXT WEEK.

OH, OKAY, GREAT.

OH, THAT IS FABULOUS.

SO THAT'S GOOD NEWS.

MAYBE THINGS ARE STARTING TO PICK UP ANY OTHER COMMENTS OR ANY OTHER COMMITTEE REPORTS.

OH, AND I LOVE COMMISSIONER POST THIS CAT, SO NICE MEETING IT AND I, WE ARE ADJOURNED.

SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

THANKS GUYS.

LET ME GET YOUR PHONE, GET YOUR .
