WE, UH, I ADDED THIS ONE, UM, AFTER READING A, UH, COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW FROM, UH, PLANNING, UM, THE HOUSING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO ENCOURAGE MORE FUNDING FOR THAT PAYER MEN ASSISTANT, WHICH WAS LISTED AS THE GREATEST BARRIER PURCHASING A HOME AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENTS, COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS OF IMPEDIMENTS TO HOUSING AS A MEANS TO LEVERAGE LIMITED DOLLARS. UM, AND THIS ANALYSIS WAS BASED ON THE PARTICIPATION OF 6,000 LOW INCOME RESIDENTS. UH, 43,000 OF THEM WERE PARTICIPANTS OF COLOR. AND THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST DATA I'VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME ABOUT WHAT THE BARRIERS WERE FOR WERE FOLKS, UM, IN GETTING, UM, PURCHASING HOUSING. UH, THIS WAS A COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION FROM COMMISSIONER KING, PROVIDE ADEQUATE STAFF AND RESOURCES TO INITIATE AND FACILITATE CONCURRENT SMALL AREA PLANNING PROCESSES FOR EQUITABLE TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATED WITH PROJECT CONNECT, DISPLACEMENT PREVENTION AND MITIGATION, AND LOW-INCOME NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITIES OF COLOR IN EAST AUSTIN, HISTORIC SURVEYS OF NEIGHBORHOODS AND COMMUNITY ASSETS IMPACTED BY RAPID REDEVELOPMENT AND DISPLACEMENT AND THE EASTERN CRESCENT, UH, FIRE, UH, INCREASED FUNDING AND RESOURCES FOR WILDFIRE TRAINING, UH, AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PLAN TO PURCHASE TRUCKS AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHERE, UM, THE VEHICLES ARE APPROPRIATELY SIZED FOR STREET WEST, UM, TO DECREASE THE UPWARD TREND OF WILDFIRE RISK FOR BOTH BUILDINGS, ROADWAYS PROPERTIES, DUE TO CLIMATE CHANGE, UH, INCREASED STAFFING FOR CONSTRUCTION AND ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTIONS TO ENSURE ALL PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE IS BUILT ACCORDING TO REQUIREMENTS. AND TO ADDRESS THE 261, UM, 6 1 7 DECREASE IN FUNDING FROM LAST YEAR'S BUDGET CODE ENFORCEMENT, UM, ENSURE ADEQUATE WORLD WE'RE DOWN TO TWO MORE OF THE FORMER ENSURE ADEQUATE STAFFING AND RESOURCES TO PROACTIVELY MONITOR AND ENFORCE COMPLIANCE WITH HEALTH AND SAFETY REGULATIONS BY COMMERCIAL RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS THAT PARTICIPATE IN CITY STATE AND FEDERAL INCOME, RESTRICTED HOUSING, RENTAL ASSISTANCE, OR HOME REPAIR ASSISTANCE, AND, UH, PROGRAMS IN AUSTIN ON WATERSHED. UM, I THOUGHT WE NEEDED TO BE ADDING STAFF AND FUNDING FOR ATLAS FLOODPLAIN STUDIES THIS FISCAL YEAR, RATHER THAN FISCAL YEAR 22, UH, PARTICULARLY IN WATERSHEDS WHERE RESIDENTIAL HOUSING AS BEING ADDED CITY-WIDE, UM, WE WANT TO ENSURE ADEQUATE RESOURCES ARE BEING PROVIDED FOR THE OFFICE OF PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT TO ADEQUATELY ADDRESS THATA TO ENSURE POLICY RECOMMENDATIONS ARE ACTUALLY ACHIEVING THE DESIRED OUTCOME OF THE COUNCIL STRATEGIC PLAN. AND FINALLY, ANOTHER SUGGESTION FROM COMMISSIONER KING PROVIDE FUNDING TO ALLOW THE PUBLIC, TO PARTICIPATE VIRTUALLY IN PUBLIC MEETINGS, HELD BY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS WHEN IN-PERSON MEETINGS RESUME IN 2021. I'M HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS, UM, TAKE ANY SUGGESTIONS.
