[District 9 – Zena Mitchell, Zohaib “Zo” Qadri, Greg Smith, Joah Spearman, Kym Olson, Ben Leffler, Linda Guerrero, Tom Wald]

[00:00:06]

MY NAME IS ZENA MITCHELL AND I'M RUNNING FOR AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT NINE.

BECAUSE I LOVE AUSTIN, I HAVE SEEN OUR CITY BECOME UNSUSTAINABLE FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE AND WORK HERE.

IT'S TIME TO PUT PEOPLE OVER PROFITS THROUGH RESEARCH AND DISCUSSION WITH FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS, SEVERAL ACTIONABLE POLICY ITEMS ADDRESSING THIS CRISIS HAVE EVOLVED.

LET'S START WITH HOUSING FIRST, I PROPOSE WE LIMIT INVESTOR'S PROFITS TO 2%.

THIS WILL APPLY TO ANY HOMES THAT DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THE HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION.

THE CITY OF AUSTIN'S AFFORDABLE HOME PROGRAM LIMITS QUALIFYING MEDIAN INCOME FAMILIES TO 2% PROFIT.

IF THE CITY CAN LIMIT LOW INCOME FAMILIES PROFITS, WE CAN CERTAINLY DO THE SAME FOR NON-RESIDENTS WHO ARE ONLY BUYING HOMES FOR INVESTMENT.

SECOND, LIMIT THE NUMBER AND AMOUNT OF RESIDENTIAL.

REAL PROPERTY AND INDIVIDUAL OR BUSINESS MAY PURCHASE INVESTORS WHO ARE BUYING UP PROPERTIES ONLY TO FLIP THEM FOR PROFIT OR TURN THEM INTO SHORT TERM RENTALS ARE DRIVING UP PRICES AND DECREASING AVAILABILITY.

THIRD, INITIATE A RENT TO OWN PROGRAM.

FOR AUSTIN RENTERS, A PERCENTAGE OF RENT PAID WOULD GO TOWARDS PRINCIPLE THAT WOULD ACTUALIZE AT FIVE OR MORE YEARS.

RENTERS COULD USE THE MONEY TOWARD THE PURCHASE OF A HOME OR FOR TRANSITION TO A NEW HOME.

NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT TRANSPORTATION.

FOR THE SAKE OF OUR PLANET, MASS TRANSIT MUST BE A HIGH PRIORITY IN OUR CITY.

I STRONGLY SUPPORT PROJECT CONNECT AND THE AUSTIN TRANSIT PARTNERSHIPS COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT THROUGHOUT THIS TRANSFORMATION OF OUR CITY.

IN THE MEANTIME, OUR BUS SYSTEM NEEDS VAST IMPROVEMENT.

WE NEED AT LEAST THREE COMMUTER LINES RUNNING DIRECTLY TO THE AIRPORT.

CROSS TOWN BUSES AND HIGHER FREQUENCY IMPROVE RIDERSHIP BY MAKING PRIVATE VEHICLES AND PRACTICAL.

STARTING WITH THE DRAG AND CONGRESS AVENUE, GRADUALLY RESTRICT THE ENTIRE DOWNTOWN AREA TO PERSONAL VEHICLES, ALLOWING ONLY BUSES, RAIL BICYCLES, PEDESTRIANS CLEARLY MARKED TAXIS AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES STRATEGICALLY PLACE PARK AND RIDE LOCATIONS OUTSIDE OF DOWNTOWN INCENTIVIZE BUSINESSES TO ENCOURAGE EMPLOYEES TO USE PUBLIC TRANSIT BY CHARGING FOR PARKING AND PROVIDING FREE PUBLIC TRANSIT PASSES.

REGARDING IH 35 EXPANSION, I AM ABSOLUTELY AGAINST IT.

CAP AND STITCH IS ABSURD.

$5 BILLION AND 10 YEARS MESS TO DISPLACE COMMUNITIES FOR WHAT? BEARING THE TRAFFIC JAM WILL NOT MAKE IT GO AWAY.

WE SHOULD INCENTIVIZE NON-LOCAL TRUCKS TO USE TOLL ROADS AROUND AUSTIN.

HOW DO WE PAY FOR THIS? TAX? CORPORATIONS THAT ARE USING OUR RESOURCES, THEY NEED TO PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE.

AS A TEACHER, I WAS ALWAYS FACED WITH DOING MORE WITH LESS AND ASKING FOR DONATIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY.

THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD HAS BUILT A FACTORY LITERALLY INCHES UP RIVER FROM OUR WATER SUPPLY AND IS GETTING A TAX FREE RIDE FROM TRAVIS COUNTY.

LET'S ASK HIM TO STEP UP AND BE A HERO.

SUPPLY US WITH A FLEET OF ELECTRIC BUSES.

IT CAN'T HURT TO ASK REGARDING HOMELESSNESS.

THE ANSWER TO HOMELESSNESS IS CERTAINLY NOT TO CRIMINALIZE IT.

THESE ARE OUR PEOPLE.

HUMAN BEINGS LIVING ON OUR PLANET WHO NEED SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO HAVE DECENT LIVING CONDITIONS.

WE HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY TO HELP.

I PROPOSE THAT WE INSTALL PUBLIC RESTROOMS A FEW BLOCKS FROM ANYWHERE IN THE CITY, A PUBLIC SHOWER AND LAUNDRY CENTER.

HOW CAN ANYONE FIND EMPLOYMENT WITHOUT ACCESS TO THESE BASIC NEEDS? GETTING ANY KIND OF SOCIAL SERVICES ASSISTANCE OR MENTAL HEALTHCARE REQUIRES ACCESS TO A MAILBOX PHONE AND COMPUTER AND THE ABILITY TO USE THEM.

CREATE RESOURCE CENTERS STAFFED WITH PEOPLE WHO CAN ASSIST THE OLD HOME DEPOT SITE AT ST.

JOHN'S AND IH 35 WOULD BE A GOOD LOCATION.

HIRE HOMELESS PEOPLE TO FILL MANY OF THESE POSITIONS.

AS A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, I WOULD WORK WITH COMMUNITY FIRST VILLAGE AND FOUNDATION COMMUNITIES.

THESE ARE TWO PHENOMENAL WORKING PROGRAMS THAT HAVE HELPED COUNTLESS LOW INCOME AND HOMELESS PEOPLE.

THEY ARE SUCCESSFUL BECAUSE THEY DON'T ONLY PROVIDE HOUSING FOR PEOPLE, THEY PROVIDE COMMUNITY.

I WOULD WORK WITH THEM TO CONTINUE THESE PROGRAMS WITHIN THE URBAN AREA.

AS A COMMUNITY MEMBER, FRIEND AND NEIGHBOR, I HAVE HELPED HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ON A PERSONAL LEVEL.

AS CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, I WILL PRIORITIZE POLICIES THAT FAVOR PEOPLE OVER PROFITS.

MY BREADTH OF EXPERIENCE MAKES ME A RESOURCEFUL, CAPABLE AND QUALIFIED CANDIDATE.

I WILL BRING IDEAS TO THE TABLE THAT OTHERS WOULD NOT BE WILLING TO AND SAY WHAT NEEDS TO BE SAID.

TOGETHER WITH OTHER COUNCIL MEMBERS, WE WILL MAKE A BETTER AUSTIN.

[00:05:02]

MY NAME IS ZO ARI AND I'M A CANDIDATE FOR AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL IN DISTRICT NINE.

I MOVED TO THE CITY INTO DISTRICT NINE 13 YEARS AGO TO ATTEND UT AS A BIO PREMED STUDENT.

I MOVED HERE FROM VICTORIA, TEXAS AND EXPECTED AUSTIN TO BE THIS WELCOMING CITY.

HOWEVER, THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WHEN I WAS A UT STUDENT WAS AROUND HOUSE NEIGHBORS BEGGING FOR HELP FROM FOLKS ON THE STREET JUST BLOCKS AWAY FROM CITY HALL.

MY PARENTS ARE IMMIGRANTS FROM PAKISTAN AND I WOULD OFTEN VISIT THE COUNTRY AS A CHILD.

I WOULD SEE ON HOUSE FOLKS SUFFERING THERE AND THE ONLY WAY I COULD MAKE SENSE OF IT WAS BY THE POVERTY AND CORRUPTION IN THAT COUNTRY.

BUT BEING IN AUSTIN IN SUCH A WEALTHY CITY, I COULDN'T MAKE SENSE OF THE SUFFERING.

I SAW MY PARENTS WORKED IN MEDICINE, SO I HAD BEEN DRAWN TO USING MEDICINE TO SERVE OTHERS, BUT THIS MADE ME SWITCH TO SERVICE THROUGH GOVERNMENT AND ADVOCACY WORK.

I LOVE AUSTIN.

IT'S A CITY THAT I'VE GROWN UP IN FOR THE PAST 13 YEARS.

A CITY WHERE I'VE LIVED LONGER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE.

IT'S A CITY WHERE I'VE GOTTEN EDUCATED, MET MY WIFE, GOTTEN MARRIED, PUT DOWN ROOTS AND HOPED TO ONE DAY START A FAMILY.

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL PLACE FILLED WITH KIND AND EMPATHETIC PEOPLE WHO BRAVE FROZEN STREETS TO DELIVER WATER TO NEIGHBORS.

OMITTED DEADLY WINTER STORM, BUT IT IS ALSO A PLACE THAT FAILS ITS MOST VULNERABLE POPULATIONS DAILY.

AUSTIN IS A CITY THAT IS GOING THROUGH A HOUSING CRISIS THAT LACKS EQUITABLE TRANSIT, IS GOING THROUGH A CLIMATE CRISIS AND JUST A GENERAL LACK OF EQUITY.

THE AUSTIN EXPERIENCE VARIES WILDLY DEPENDING ON WHERE ONE IS BORN AND THEIR BACKGROUND AND THAT SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE I'M RUNNING TO ENSURE WE HAVE AN AUSTIN THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE.

I'VE WORKED IN CITY GOVERNMENTS AS SMALL AS KYLE AND AS LARGE AS HOUSTON.

I'VE HELPED CRAFT POLICY AT THE CAPITAL AND HAVE ORGANIZED BOTH ELECTORALLY ON CAMPAIGNS AND ALSO IN THE ADVOCACY SPACE TO FIGHT BACK AGAINST ANTI-TRANS VOTER SUPPRESSION AND ANTI-ABORTION POLICIES.

I BELIEVE I HAVE THE EXPERIENCE AND THE FIGHT TO DO RIGHT BY ALL AUSTINITES.

OUR CAMPAIGN HAS BUILT A DIVERSE COALITION OF SUPPORTERS.

WE HAVE THE MOST INDIVIDUAL DONORS, SMALLEST, AVERAGE DONATION SIZE, AND MORE FIRST TIME DONORS OUT OF ANYONE ELSE IN THE RACE.

BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN INTENTIONAL ABOUT BRINGING RESOURCES AND ENGAGEMENT TO TO ALL VOICES IN THE DISTRICT, WE'VE ALSO BEEN SUPPORTED BY NUMEROUS ORGANIZATIONS, LABOR GROUPS AND ELECTED OFFICIALS, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, EVERY DAY OSTEN NIGHTS WHO BELIEVE A BETTER AUSTIN IS POSSIBLE.

WE CAN BE THE PROGRESSIVE CITY THAT OTHERS BELIEVE US TO BE.

WE CAN BE A CITY THAT WORKS FOR OUR TEACHERS, SERVICE WORKERS, HEALTHCARE WORKERS, STUDENTS, RENTERS, HOMEOWNERS, AND SO MANY MORE.

WE CAN BE A CITY THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE, BUT WE NEED LEADERS UNAFRAID TO TAKE HARD VOTES AND FIGHT FOR POLICIES THAT TAKE US THERE.

I HOPED HER AND YOUR SUPPORT OF THE BALLOT BOX.

I'M READY TO GET TO WORK FOR YOU.

MY NAME IS GREG SMITH AND I'M RUNNING FOR AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL IN DISTRICT NINE.

HAVING LIVED IN AUSTIN FOR MORE THAN 40 YEARS, I HAVE HAD A FRONT ROW SEAT TO ONE OF THE GREAT AMERICAN SUCCESS STORIES.

AUSTIN AND ALL THAT HAS BECOME HAVE BEEN GREAT TO MY WIFE MORGAN AND ME, BUT IT IS HARD FOR ME TO IGNORE A CHANGING OF THE TIDES.

I ENTERED THIS RACE BECAUSE OF MY FRUSTRATION WITH HOW OUR CITY HAS HANDLED OUR HOMELESS PROBLEM.

ADMITTEDLY, I WAS A ONE ISSUE CANDIDATE, BUT THE LAST FEW MONTHS OF MEETING WITH A RESIDENTS IN MY DISTRICT HAVE MADE IT CLEAR THAT THE CHALLENGE THAT WE HAVE AHEAD OF US IS NOT JUST ABOUT ANY SINGLE ISSUE BUT OUR INABILITY TO IDENTIFY AND ELECT THE LEADERS THAT ARE SERIOUS ABOUT FIXING ALL OF THE PROBLEMS THAT WE HAVE.

WE HAVE INCREDIBLY SMART PEOPLE IN THIS CITY THAT CAN, THAT CAN IDENTIFY A NUMBER OF ISSUES, AFFORDABILITY, TRANSIT, PUBLIC SAFETY, AND HOUSING TO NAME A FEW.

WE HAVE NO SHORTAGE OF GOOD IDEAS TO ADDRESS ANY ONE OF THESE, BUT WITHOUT GREAT LEADERSHIP, THESE ARE ONLY IDEAS.

OUR CITY AND ITS LEADERS NEED TO STOP HIGHLIGHTING THESE PROBLEMS AND TALKING AS IF THEY WERE READING FROM A TEXTBOOK.

IT IS TIME FOR SERIOUS NEW LEADERSHIP TO START EXHIBITING THE WILL TO FIX THE SAME ISSUES THAT WERE HIGHLIGHTED 10 YEARS AGO.

WITHIN IMAGINE AUSTIN, AS MANY HAVE HEARD ME SAY ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL, I AM NOT THE EXPERT, BUT UNDER MY LEADERSHIP, WE WILL REACH OUT TO THE EXPERTS THAT HAVE ACCESS ALONG THE JOURNEY AND BRING THEM INTO A SMALL ROOM TO SOLVE BIG PROBLEMS. THE FOCUS GROUPS COMMUNITY OUTREACH STAKEHOLDER INPUT HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR CREATING ACTION PLANS THAT ARE MEASURABLE AND ACCOUNTABLE TO THE CITIZENS OF AUSTIN.

TIME AND TIME AGAIN, WE GET THE SAME FAILING REPORT CARD, LESS AFFORDABILITY, HARDER TO MOVE AROUND THE CITY, LESS ACCOUNTABILITY, LESS SAFETY, GREATER LEVELS OF HOMELESS HOMELESSNESS AND THE LIST KEEPS GROWING ENOUGH OF THE BS.

IT IS TIME FOR SERIOUS PEOPLE TO STAND UP

[00:10:01]

TO THE PROGRESSIVE POLICIES THAT HAVE DONE NOTHING FOR OUR CITY OTHER THAN CREATE A HEADLINE.

UNDER MY LEADERSHIP, WE WILL AGAIN ACHIEVE WHAT HAS ALWAYS MADE AUSTIN SPECIAL, A DIVERSE COMMUNITY THAT EVEN WHEN WE DISAGREE, UNDERSTOOD THE NEED TO COMPROMISE FOR THE GREATER GOOD AND RECOGNIZE THAT ALL OF US WILL HAVE TO SHARE IN THE SHORT TERM PAIN TO GET TO THE LONG TERM BENEFIT.

WE CANNOT AFFORD TO BE HAVING THESE SAME CONVERSATIONS WITH THE SAME NO RESULTS IN 10 YEARS.

AS A VOTER IN DISTRICT NINE, THERE ARE EIGHT CANDIDATES TO PICK FROM, BUT REALLY ONLY TWO CHOICES.

SEVEN CANDIDATES THAT WILL TAKE US DOWN THE SAME PATH, PRODUCING THE SAME RESULTS FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS OR ME A MODERATE CANDIDATE WITH THE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO LEAD US TO AN AUSTIN THAT ENABLES US TO LIVE UP TO OUR INCREDIBLE POTENTIAL.

I HOPE OUR PATHS WILL CROSS AND I CAN THANK EACH OF YOU IN PERSON FOR TRUSTING ME WITH YOUR VOTE.

MY NAME IS JOIS BIERMAN AND I'M RUNNING FOR AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT NINE.

THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION I CAN ANSWER FOR YOU TODAY IS WHY AM I RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL? IN ORDER TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION, I FIRST NEED TO SHARE A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF.

I'M A NATIVE CENTRAL TEXAN.

I GREW UP JUST UP I 35 IN COLEEN.

I'M THE YOUNGEST OF THREE BOYS IN A SINGLE MOTHER HOUSEHOLD.

I WATCHED MY MOM RAISE MY TWO OLDER BROTHERS AND I IN SCARCITY FOR MOST OF MY MOST OF MY CHILDHOOD, AND I WOULD HONESTLY SAY MY DESIRE TO SERVE STARTED IN MY OWN HOME AS A KID AND WATCHED MY MOM WORK TWO AND THREE JOBS, RELYING ON FOOD STAMPS AND FREE SCHOOL LUNCHES TO MAKE IT WEEK TO WEEK.

CHECK THE CHECK.

MY SERVICE MENTALITY WAS COUPLED, THANKFULLY WITH AN ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT.

SO I STARTED MY VERY FIRST BUSINESS AT 11 YEARS OLD, CUTTING GRASS FOR NEIGHBORS IN THE NEXT YEAR, SELLING CANDY TO CLASSMATES AND I NEVER LOOKED BACK.

FOR THE LAST DOZEN YEARS HERE IN AUSTIN, I'VE BEEN AN ACTIVE ENTREPRENEUR IN THE COMMUNITY FROM OWNING A SNEAKER SHOP HERE AT CITY HALL TO STARTING MY COMPANY LOCAL IN 2013, AIMED AT SENDING TRAVELERS IN 200 CITIES AROUND THE WORLD TO LOCALLY OWNED BARS, RESTAURANTS, AND SHOPS.

AS A SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL, I SAT ON THE MARSH OF DIMES BOARD OF DIRECTORS WITH THE MAYOR OF COLEEN.

I HELPED RAISE OVER $120,000 FOR THE CAUSE, AND EVENTUALLY I WON THE NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE ORGANIZATION ALONG WITH 30 OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS.

IT HELPED ME TO BECOME THE FIRST PERSON IN MY FAMILY TO GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE WHEN I DID FROM HERE AT UT AUSTIN IN 2005.

SINCE FOR FIRST MOVING TO AUSTIN OVER 20 YEARS AGO, I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS CITY, THE RUNNING TRAILS, THE LIVE MUSIC VENUES, THE FOOD SCENE, AND MOST OF ALL THE I LIVE HERE.

I GIVE YOUR MENTALITY, I'VE BEEN GIVING BACK EVER SINCE.

IN COLLEGE, I STARTED A STUDENT LED NONPROFIT THAT STILL TO THIS DAY RAISES THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS EACH YEAR FOR DELL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL IN MUELLER.

FROM 2010 TO 2013, I WAS APPOINTED TO AND SERVED ON THE AUSTIN MUSIC COMMISSION WHERE I SERVED AS VICE CHAIR IN A TIME WHEN WE DESIGNATED RED RIVER AS A CULTURAL DISTRICT, I ALSO SERVED AS AN APPOINTEE ON THE DOWNTOWN COMMISSION.

MORE RECENTLY, I SERVED EIGHT YEARS ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR AIDS SERVICES OF AUSTIN, THE LEADING NON-PROFIT IN TOWN, ADDRESSING OUR NEIGHBORS AFFECTED BY HIV AND AIDS.

I ALSO SERVED SIX YEARS ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR AUSTIN PBS, A REGIONAL PILLAR AND HOW OUR KIDS IN CENTRAL TEXAS LEARN AND ALSO THE AUSTIN CITY LIMITS BRAND THAT'S BECOME A GLOBAL ICON.

FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS, I'VE SERVED ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR ZACH THEATER, WHICH I HAVE SERVED AS MEMBERSHIP CHAIR FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, FOCUSING CORE ON EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION, INCLUDING BRINGING SEVERAL NEW BLACK L, LGBTQ Q AND MILLENNIAL MEMBERS TO THE BOARD.

SO IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY WHY, WHY I'M RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL, YOU CAN LOOK AT MY HISTORY AS A SERVICE, HISTORY OF SERVICE DATING BACK TO MY TEENAGE YEARS, AND COLLEEN AS A COLLEGE STUDENT AT UT AUSTIN AS AN ENTREPRENEUR AND BOARD MEMBER HERE FOR THE LAST BETTER PART OF TWO DECADES.

AND AS A CITY COMMISSIONER, I'VE ALWAYS BEEN THE CHAMPION OF LOCAL BUSINESSES AND CAUSES.

AUSTIN FACES SOME VERY TOUGH CHALLENGES IN THE ROAD I'VE HAD FROM AFFORDABILITY AND HOUSING COST, WAGE AND INCOME DISPARITY, RACIAL EQUITY AND INCLUSION, ACCOUNTABILITY AND PUBLIC SAFETY.

EACH OF THESE ISSUES HAS A VERY UNIQUE MIX OF COMPLEXITIES, CHALLENGES, AND OPPORTUNITIES, AND IT'S UP TO CITY COUNCIL TO HANDLE EACH WITH CARE CONSIDERATION AND CAN DO ATTITUDE.

IT'S TIME TO MOVE PAST THE DIAGNOSIS.

WE NEED TO MOVE ON TO PROBLEM SOLVING.

I'M RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL BECAUSE I WANNA USE ALL MY LIVED AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES IN MY SERVICE MENTALITY TO BE A VOICE FOR DISTRICT NINE AND AUSTIN'S PEOPLE.

IT'S TREASURED HISTORY AND IF WE SO CHOOSE, ITS MOST PROMISING AND ABUNDANT FUTURE.

I'M JO BIERMAN, I'M RUNNING FOR AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT NINE.

THANK YOU.

HI, MY NAME'S KIM OLSON AND I'M RUNNING FOR AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT NINE.

I HAVE THE QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, RESOURCES, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, LEADERSHIP SKILLS TO ASSIST.

WE NEED TO STOP, REORGANIZE AND RECOGNIZE OUR REALITY, FIX OUR CURRENT PROBLEMS, AND THEN MOVE FURTHER WITH THESE PLANS, WHICH WITH PROPER RESEARCH PEOPLE AND STUDY

[00:15:02]

AND DETERMINE THE SIZE AND SCOPE.

I WAS BORN IN THIS DISTRICT, ST.

DAVID'S.

OUR CITY IS FULL OF EXPERTS AND UNTAPPED RESOURCES.

DISTRICT NINE ESPECIALLY.

THERE'S ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WE SHOULD HAVE THESE GRANDIOSE PLANS THAT ARE JUST IN DEVELOPMENT PHASES THAT ARE SET TO CONSUME THIS CITY, CHANGE THE WAY WE LIVE, YET AGAIN, THE HUMAN TOLL ON OUR QUALITY OF LIFE WITH DISLOCATION, CONSTRUCTION, TRAFFIC, AIR QUALITY, ET CETERA.

ALL OF THESE PROJECTS ARE WAY OVER BUDGET, BEHIND SCHEDULE AND NOT A SINGLE MILESTONE OF SUCCESS TO SHOW AS A VIABLE MEASURE THUS FAR.

AS ANYONE KNOWS, THIS DEMONSTRATES FIRSTHAND THE FAILURE OF LEADERSHIP AND ACCOUNTABILITY.

OUR OFFICIALS ARE FAILING AUSTIN NIGHTS WITH THE BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES A CITY IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE HEALTH, PUBLIC SAFETY, AND RELIABLE POWER.

WATER HELP THE PEOPLE IN NEED JUST TO NAME A FEW.

SO IN THE PROCESS OF THE CHAOS, WE HAVE PUT MAXIMUM STRAIN ON ALL OF OUR CITY RESOURCES.

WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE BASICS AND FIX THIS FROM THE GROUND UP.

WE ARE A LITERAL HOUSE OF CARDS RIGHT NOW AND IT'S A A CRITICAL STAGE ALREADY.

WE HAVE TO REGROUP, DETERMINE AWARENESS, PREPAREDNESS, AND READINESS BEFORE WE FIND OURSELVES IN ANOTHER CITY.

MELTDOWN FIRST AWARENESS.

REALIZE THE MESS WE ARE IN.

AS STATED ABOVE, HEALTH AND PUBLIC SAFETY, BOTH DISASTERS, WE NEED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES.

YES, PROVIDING THE HOMELESS A PLACE TO LIVE IS AMAZING SERVICE.

HOWEVER, IT'S NOT A SETUP FOR SUCCESS WITHOUT PROPER COPING SKILLS TO READJUST TO LIFE, LET ALONE PROCESS THE CONDITIONS THAT GOT THEM TO THEIR CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS.

PEOPLE ACROSS ALL SOCIOECONOMIC REALITIES COULD HAVE USED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES DURING THE BLIZZARD PANDEMIC, ET CETERA.

WE HAVE NOTHING.

WHAT? WHY IS IT WE WANT TO GET THEM INTO THESE PROPER HOMES WITHOUT MEETING THEIR BASIC NEEDS, LET ALONE THE NEEDS OF THE THE PUBLIC.

YOU SEE, I SERVED ON THE BOARD FOR THE TEXAS NETWORK OF YOUTH SERVICES, ADVOCATING FOR PUBLIC POLICY AND PRIORITIES TO STRENGTHEN YOUTH AND FAMILIES, SPECIFICALLY DISPLACED HOMELESS YOUTH.

I RECEIVED SEVERAL LEGISLATIVE SUCCESSES AND APPROPRIATIONS IN NEW POLICIES AND ALSO VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR.

I HAVE SEEN THE SUCCESSES AND THE LESSONS LEARNED.

FOR EXAMPLE, LIFE WORKS HERE IN AUSTIN IS AN AMAZING SUCCESS STORY.

NOW PREPAREDNESS.

LET'S TAKE THE BURDEN OFF THE DWINDLING PLEASE.

STRENGTH AND FORCE.

LET'S HAVE A TWO 11 OR THE LIKE TO DIRECT THESE CALLS TO THE PROPER MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY, NOT THE PRISM SYSTEM.

YOU ARE ALSO RUINING LIVES OF YOUTH UNNECESSARILY.

ENSURE RELIABLE AND CAPABLE PUBLIC UTILITIES, WATER POWER IN A FORWARD THINKING, CLIMATE CHANGING ENVIRONMENT TO ENSURE WE DON'T FIND OURSELVES IN YET ANOTHER DIRE LIVING CONDITION AND MAKE SURE WE DON'T FIND OURSELVES IN THE PUBLIC HEALTH CRISIS.

WE'RE SEEING NATIONWIDE EMBARRASSING READINESS LET'S THEM MOVE FORWARD WITH ALL OF THESE PLANS, BUT IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER, RESEARCH SIZE AND SCOPE, RISK MANAGEMENT, AND ALL STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVED, AND THEN WITH THE WILL OF THE PUBLIC MOVE FORWARD AND TEST THE PILOT PROJECT BEFORE UPROOTING OUR STREETS AND HOMES.

BEYOND MY LIFELONG ASSOCIATION WITH AUSTIN, I'M A GRADUATE FROM THE LBJ SCHOOL OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS WITH DECADES OF PROVEN SUCCESS ESTABLISHING RESPONSIBLE POLICY.

I HAVE RECEIVED MANY AWARDS RECOGNITIONS S FOR MY LEADERSHIP THROUGH CIVIC SERVICE, VOLUNTEER SERVICE, AND TOP FORTUNE 500 COMPANIES.

I AM UNQUESTIONABLY KNOWING WHAT I AM DOING AND IT HAS ALL BEEN ACCOMPLISHED BY WORKING, CONSULTING, RESEARCHING, AND ADVOCATING.

AS A CAPTAIN AND THE TEXAS STATE GUARD, MY LEADERSHIP SKILLS ARE SELF EVIDENT.

LET'S NOT BE FOOLED BY THOSE KEEPING OUR EYES TO THESE BRIGHT SHINY STARS IN THE SKY OF FUTURISTIC VISUALS OF A JETSON FAMILY REALITY.

LET'S PUT A FOUNDATION DOWN BEFORE BUILDING UP FURTHER AND BEFORE THE HOUSE OF CARDS FALLS, VOTE FOR ME.

KIM OLSON, RESCUE RESTORE, REBUILD OUR CITY TOGETHER.

BRING BACK THE PEACE, LOVE, AND AUSTIN COMMUNITY.

ALL OF US FOR ALL OF US.

MY NAME IS BEN LEFFLER AND I'M RUNNING TO REPRESENT DISTRICT NINE ON THE AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL.

I'M A DAD HUSBAND, UT GRADUATE NATIVE AUSTINITE, AND A PROUD DEMOCRAT.

I'M RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL BECAUSE FOR TOO LONG WORKING FAMILIES LIKE MINE AND SO MANY ACROSS AUSTIN HAVE BEEN PUSHED OUTTA TOWN BY OUR YEARS LONG AFFORDABILITY CRISIS.

WE DESERVE A COMMUNITY WHERE EVERYONE CAN THRIVE NO MATTER HOW MUCH MONEY THEY MAKE OR WHEN THEY MOVE TO TOWN.

I WAS BORN AND RAISED IN CENTRAL AUSTIN.

I GREW UP IN CHERRYWOOD AND BRENTWOOD BACK WHEN THEY WERE BOTH WORKING CLASS NEIGHBORHOODS IN THE EIGHTIES AND NINETIES.

AUSTIN FELT LIKE A SMALL COLLEGE TOWN, BUT WITH THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME THE MOST VIBRANT CITY IN TEXAS, FAMILIES LIKE MINE ONCE THOUGHT OF THESE NEIGHBORHOODS AS WORKING CLASS ENCLAVES.

BUT NOW MORE AND MORE PEOPLE ARE BEING PRICED OUT AND ARE FORCED TO MOVE AWAY.

AUSTIN HAS GROWN INCREDIBLY FAST AND OUR CITY LEADERS HAVE NOT

[00:20:01]

ADEQUATELY PLANNED AND PREPARED FOR THE GROWTH OR STEERED IT IN AN EQUITABLE WAY.

INEQUALITY AND GREED ARE HOLDING AUSTIN BACK FROM BEING WHAT IT SHOULD BE.

AN INCLUSIVE, SUSTAINABLE CITY THAT WORKS FOR ALL.

WE HAVE TO WORK TOGETHER TO FIND PROGRESSIVE SOLUTIONS THAT PUT PEOPLE FIRST, PUT POLITICS ASIDE AND CREATE EQUITY AND OPPORTUNITY.

AND WE CAN ONLY DO THIS BY MAKING SURE ALL OF AUSTIN IS REPRESENTED AT THE TABLE AND KEEPING THE PUBLIC INFORMED AND ENGAGED ALONG THE WAY.

I'M PROUD OF MY SERVICE TO MY COMMUNITY AND AT THE CITY OF AUSTIN, I'VE FOUGHT AGAINST FRAUD, WASTE, AND ABUSE WHEN I WORK FOR THE CITY AUDITOR'S OFFICE.

AND I FOUGHT ALONGSIDE ENVIRONMENTAL ADVOCATES TO INCREASE AUSTIN'S CLIMATE EQUITY WHEN I WORKED IN A CITY COUNCIL OFFICE AND I SERVED ON MY NEIGHBORS ASSOCIATION AND MENTORED STUDENTS TO ENSURE MY NEIGHBORS HAD THE SAME ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITY THAT I DID GROWING UP.

I CURRENTLY MANAGE A TEAM FOCUS ON IMPROVING ONLINE EXPERIENCES ACROSS THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF CONSUMERS AND TAXPAYERS.

AND I'LL BRING THIS SAME PROGRESSIVE THOUGHT, CREATIVE SOLUTIONS AND COMMUNITY DEDICATION TO THE AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL.

I'VE BEEN ENDORSED BY MANY PROGRESSIVE LEADERS, INCLUDING FORMER DEMOCRATIC STATE REPRESENTATIVES, SHERRY GREENBERG, FORMER HARRIS COUNTY, CLA, CHRIS HOLLANDS, FORMER AUSTIN CITY MAYOR MIKE MARTINEZ, AND DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST CLIFF WALKER.

I WOULD BE HONORED TO HAVE YOUR SUPPORT AND YOU CAN LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR CAMPAIGN@BENLEFFLER.COM.

HELLO, MY NAME IS LINDA GUERRERO.

I AM RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL IN DISTRICT NINE.

I'VE LIVED MY ENTIRE LIFE IN CENTRAL AUSTIN.

MY FATHER, ROY G. GUERRERO, RAISED ME TO UNDERSTAND THE VALUE OF GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY AND HELPING THOSE WHO ARE UNDERSERVED.

HIS LEGACY IS REMEMBERED BY THE CONLEY GUERRERO SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER, THE ROY G LOWER COLORADO PARK, THE RICKY GUERRERO PARK.

MY FAMILY HAS ALWAYS BEEN COMMITTED TO A BETTER AUSTIN AND I WANT TO WORK TO CONTINUE THAT AND CARRY IT FORWARD.

I HAVE DEVOTED OVER 20 YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO THE CITY AS A VOLUNTEER APPOINTEE ON NUMEROUS CITY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.

I HAVE SERVED AS CHAIR OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL COMMISSION CHAIR OF THE SPORT VICE CHAIR OF THE DOWNTOWN COMMISSION CO-CHAIR I 35 COALITION SOUTH CENTRAL WATERFRONT ADVISORY BOARD BOND OVERSIGHT COMMISSION, THE LIKE AUSTIN TASK FORCE.

MY YEARS OF PUBLIC SERVICE SET ME APART AS A CANDIDATE.

I HAVE LED WITH INTEGRITY, TRANSPARENCY, AND FAIRNESS DURING MY YEARS ON THE BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.

AND AS A COUNCIL MEMBER, I WILL BRING MY PROVEN LEADERSHIP TO THE CITY COUNCIL.

DIAS.

FOR ME, THE BEST PART OF COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION IS THE POTENTIAL TO CREATE AND ACCEPT SOLUTIONS FOR ALL PARTIES.

AS A COUNCIL MEMBER, I WILL CONTINUE TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER TO BUILD CONSENSUS TO ACHIEVE POSITIVE OUTCOMES FOR OUR CITY'S MOST PRESSING ISSUES.

IT HAS BECOME UNAFFORDABLE TO LIVE IN AUSTIN.

I WORKED FOR 28 YEARS AS A SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER.

I RETIRED AND I HAD A BUSINESS PROVIDING SERVICES TO PARENTS WHO HAD ADULT DISABLED FAMILY MEMBERS.

I HAD TO GO BACK TO WORK FULL TIME TO MAKE ENDS MEET DUE TO TAXES AND THE COST OF LIVING.

THE PROBLEMS FAMILIES ARE FACING WITH AFFORDABILITY IN AUSTIN ARE ALSO THE PROBLEMS I KNOW FIRSTHAND THE CHALLENGES RESIDENTS ARE FACING IN AUSTIN.

AND AS A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, I WILL CON KEEP THAT IN THE FOREFRONT OF MY DECISION MAKING.

MY PRIORITIES ARE AFFORDABILITY, THE HOUSING CRISIS AND THE HOUSING, THE HOMELESS, THE ENVIRONMENT, OPEN SPACE.

I SUPPORT TRANSPARENCY AT ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT BECAUSE TRANSPARENCY PROMOTES SUPPORT FROM THE COMMUNITY.

THE POLICE ARE A CRITICAL PART OF OUR CITY GOVERNMENT AND TRANSPARENCY AND THEIR CONDUCT WILL STRENGTHEN PUBLIC SUPPORT.

DISTRICT NINE HAS HAD THE OLDEST INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE CITY.

OUR INFRASTRUCTURE NEEDS TO BE MAINTAINED AND EXPANDED AS INEVITABLE DENSITY INCREASES IN AUSTIN.

DEFERRED MAINTENANCE OFTEN CAUSES INCREASED COSTS.

AS A COUNCIL MEMBER, I WILL INTRODUCE A MAINTENANCE PROGRAM THAT DEALS WITH OUR CURRENT PROBLEMS AND ANTICIPATING THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT ISSUE IS THE LOCAL CREEKS THAT HAVE REPEATEDLY FLOODED.

I WILL PRIORITIZE BETTER CREEK MAINTENANCE TO CONTROL POTENTIAL FLOODING.

I WILL WORK WITH THE WATERSHED PROTECTION DEPARTMENT TO ENSURE ENFORCEMENT OF EXISTING ORDINANCES THAT RESTRICT DEVELOPMENT IN AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING.

I HAVE RECEIVED THE BROADEST COALITION OF SUPPORT

[00:25:01]

IN THIS RACE FROM THE EMS UNION, WHICH REPRESENTS A SEGMENT OF OUR FIRST RESPONDERS, ASME, LOCAL 1624, WHICH REPRESENTS CITY EMPLOYEES ENVIRONMENTAL GROUPS THAT HELP KEEP AUSTIN HEALTHY, LIKE SIERRA CLUB CLEAN WATER ACTION AND THE AUSTIN ENVIRONMENTAL DEMOCRATS, AS WELL AS MANY GROUPS AND UNIONS WORKING FOR PROGRESSIVE AND NEIGHBORHOOD ISSUES SUCH AS THE BLACK AUSTIN DEMOCRATS CWA 61 32 UNITE HERE, LOCAL 23 AND I B E W FIVE 20.

LEADERS SUPPORTING MY CAMPAIGN INCLUDE COUNCIL MEMBERS, KATHY TOVO AND KITCHEN AND LESLIE POOLE COMMISSIONERS, BRIDGET SHAA AND JEFF PAVILION, FORMER COUNCIL MEMBERS LAURA MORRISON AND JACKIE GOODMAN AND OR HOUSTON, FORMER STATE SENATOR GONZALO BARTOS.

THESE ARE CHALLENGING BUT EXCITING TIMES FOR AUSTIN.

AFTER SERVING OUR COMMUNITY FOR OVER 20 YEARS ON CITY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, I BELIEVE I CAN DO MORE.

PLEASE GO TO MY WEBSITE LINDA GUERRERO.NET TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ME AND MY CAMPAIGN.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

HI, MY NAME IS TOM WALD AND I'M RUNNING TO BE A REPRESENTATIVE IN DISTRICT NINE FOR AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL.

I'VE BEEN IN AUSTIN FOR 23 YEARS AND SINCE THEN I'VE BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE COMMUNITY BOTH AT MY CO-OP HOUSING CO HOUSE OF COMMONS BACK IN 2000 AND ON THE WHEATSVILLE CO-OP BOARD.

I'VE LIVED IN CHERRYWOOD SINCE 2005 AND HAVE BEEN INVOLVED WITH THE NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION THERE AND WITH A BOGGY CREEK AS WELL FOR MANY YEARS.

WHY I'M RUNNING, I'M, I FEEL LIKE I'M THE BEST POSITION CANDIDATE TO TACKLE ARE HOUSING CRISIS AND IMPROVE MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.

I HAVE 16 YEARS LEADING AUSTIN EFFORTS ON MOBILITY, AFFORDABILITY, ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND EQUITY.

FOR EXAMPLE, I WAS THE FIRST EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF BIKE AUSTIN B BEGINNNING IN 2009.

AND NOW ALL ACROSS AUSTIN, PEOPLE HAVE MUCH BETTER OPTIONS FOR BEING ABLE TO BIKE.

UM, AND MANY PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO SELL ONE OF THEIR CARS OR BOTH OF THEIR CARS IN OR, AND STILL BE ABLE TO LIVE AND AFFORD TO LIVE IN AUSTIN.

AND I WANNA CONTINUE THAT WORK.

ALSO, I'M CURRENTLY THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF REDLINE PARKWAY INITIATIVE SUPPORTING THE, UH, 32 MILE TRAIL ALONG THE CAPITAL METRO REDLINE THAT WAS APPROVED BY VOTERS IN 2004.

SO THIS, I'VE, I'VE HAD EXTENSIVE WORK, I'VE DONE EXTENSIVE WORK WITH CITY COUNCIL, REGIONAL LEADERS AND CITY STAFF AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, AND THERE'S A LOT OF NUANCE THERE.

IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT GETTING A MAJORITY FOR YOUR ISSUE, IT'S ALSO HOW DO YOU WORK WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS, CITY STAFF, AND OTHERS TO GET THINGS DONE.

THE MAJOR ISSUE THAT I THINK EVERY, A LOT OF PEOPLE FEEL IS THE MOST IMPORTANT IS HOUSING AFFORDABILITY AND HOUSING THE UNHOUSED.

SO THE BASICS ARE THAT WE ABSOLUTELY JUST NEED MORE HOUSING OVERALL TO MEET THE DEMAND.

IF PEOPLE DON'T HAVE HOUSING, THEY'RE NOT GONNA HAVE A PLACE TO LIVE.

WE NEED TO ALSO BUILD UP INCOME RESTRICTED UNITS, UM, THAT THAT'S, YOU KNOW, UNITS THAT ARE AVAILABLE AT PARTICULAR INCOME LEVELS FOR BOTH RENTERS AND HOMEOWNERS.

AND THEN ALSO WE NEED TO CONTINUE WITH SUBSIDIZED HOUSING AND, UM, PROVIDE SUBSIDIES SO, SO THAT, THAT THE PEOPLE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ECONOMIC SPECTRUM CAN AFFORD TO LIVE IN AUSTIN AS WELL.

ONE OF THE INITIATIVES I TOOK ON WAS WITH, UM, MY, THE ORGANIZATION ON, ON THE BOARD WITH, AND I CO-FOUNDED PEOPLE UNITED FOR MOBILITY ACTION.

WE WERE ABLE TO SECURE $300 MILLION IN THE PROJECT CONNECT ELECTION IN NOVEMBER, 2020 FOR ANTI DISPLACEMENT FUNDING.

AND SPEAKING OF THAT, SO PROJECT CONNECT IS GONNA BE A TREMENDOUS OPPORTUNITY FOR AUSTIN, BUT FOR IT TO BE EFFECTIVE, PEOPLE NEED TO BE ABLE TO WALK AND BIKE TO THOSE TRANSIT STATIONS.

AND SO FOR MANY YEARS, THAT'S WHY I FOCUSED ON BICYCLING AND WALKING.

I, AGAIN, THE FIRST EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR BIKE AUSTIN BEGINNING IN 2009.

AS A RESULT OF MY EFFORT, ALONG WITH THE TEAM I'VE WORKED WITH AT THE CITY AND ELSEWHERE, WE'VE SEEN TREMENDOUS, UH, GROWTH OF BIKEWAYS AND NOW PIG PEOPLE ON BIKE AND SCOOT.

AND WE NEED TO CONTINUE THE MOMENTUM INTO THE FUTURE.

SAME WITH WALK AUSTIN.

WE NOW HAVE SIGNALIZE CROSS MID-BLOCK CROSSINGS ALL OVER.

SO IF YOU'VE PUSH THE BUTTON AND CROSS THE STREET, THAT WAS SOMETHING THAT I HAD TO HAND IN.

AND I'M ALSO ON THE BOARD OF AUSTIN OUTSIDE.

WE WERE INSTRUMENTAL, WE WERE KEY BASICALLY IN GETTING THE $460 MILLION OF FUNDING IN 2020 AS WELL FOR WALKING, BIKING, SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL, UH, CAR SAFETY AND UM, AND MORE.

AND AGAIN WITH RED LINE PARKWAY INITIATIVE, UM, WE'RE SEEING GREAT RESULTS ON IT AS WELL, INCLUDING THE I 35 PROJECT, WHICH I'VE WORKED ON EXTENSIVELY.

SO I, I'VE BEEN INSTRUMENTAL A PART AS PART OF RECONNECT AUSTIN AND RETHINK AND OUR FUTURE 35 IN ENSURING THAT AUSTIN HAS A VOICE IN THAT PROJECT AND WE'VE SEEN THAT GO A LONG WAY.

WHILE I DON'T SUPPORT THE PROJECT OVERALL, I DO ABSOLUTELY OPPOSE IT BEING ANY WATER AND I DON'T WANT IT TO BE ANY, ANY HIGHER.

IF IT COMES DOWN TO IT AND WE CAN'T STALL A PROJECT, THEN WE NEED TO MAKE SURE IT'S AS BEST AS IT CAN BE.

SO AGAIN, BUILDING UP PROJECT CONNECT IS ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL.

AND IN THE MEANTIME, WE NEED MORE BUS PRIORITY LANES AND WE NEED BUSES NOT TO HAVE TO WAIT IN TRAFFIC OR, UH, STOP AT STOP LIGHT SO MUCH.

AND FINALLY, IT'S CRITICAL WE PROTECT AUSTIN'S VALUES.

WE'RE IN A TIME OF MANY PEOPLE BEING UNDER ATTACK, ESPECIALLY FROM, FROM THE STATE AND THE SUPREME

[00:30:01]

COURT.

WE ABSOLUTELY NEED TO RE PROTECT REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS, THE AS BEST AS WE CAN AT THE LOCAL LEVEL.

WE ABSOLUTELY NEED TO PROTECT LGBTQ RIGHTS AT THE LOCAL LEVEL AND, AND IMMIGRANT PETITION PROTECTIONS, WHETHER, UH, WHETHER THEY'RE DOCUMENTED OR NOT, PEOPLE NEED TO BE ABLE TO THRIVE IN AUSTIN REGARDLESS OF THEIR BACKGROUND.

YOU CAN ALSO READ MORE AT MY WEBSITE ON THE OTHER ISSUES, INCLUDING ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND CONSTITUENT SERVICES.

I BELIEVE THAT THAT DIRECT CONNECTION BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL MEMBER AND THE CITIZENS IS REALLY CRITICAL.

AND I'M GONNA PRIORITIZE THE CONSTITUENT SERVICES.

MY WEBSITE IS TOM WALL.COM.

SO AGAIN, I ENTERED THIS RACE BECAUSE I BELIEVE THAT I'M THE STAND OUT CANDIDATE.

I'M THE ONLY PRO-HOUSING CANDIDATE WHO ALSO HAS EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE GETTING THINGS DONE AT THE LOCAL LEVEL.

I'LL BE BEST POSITIONED TO TACKLE OUR HOUSING CRISIS AND IMPROVE MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE.

I APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND I ASK FOR YOUR VOTE.
