UH, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE HAD TO CHANGE AT THE VA CLINIC, THAT'S WHERE I GET MY MEDICATION AND, UH, HEALTHCARE IS, IS THAT THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ANYMORE FENTANYL OVER THERE.
THAT WAS THE BEST MOVE THAT ANYBODY COULD DO.
AND WHY SOME HOSPITALS FAILED TO, UH, DO WITHOUT IT.
FENTANYL IS VERY, VERY VICIOUS.
UH, A LITTLE BIT MORE VICIOUS THAN HYDROCODONE, BUT WHEN YOU HAVE THE PAIN, YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOME RELIEF.
BUT I'M GLAD THAT AT LEAST, UH, Y'ALL, I'M PRETTY SURE THAT NOT JUST TODAY, Y'ALL ARE AWARE OF WHAT'S HAPPENING OUT THERE.
UH, AS FAR AS, UH, FENTANYL IS GOING ON, I REALLY HAD TWO PEOPLE, UH, THREE WEEKS AGO AND ABOUT FIVE WEEKS AGO, SEND 'EM TO THE HOSPITAL REGARDING FENTANYL.
AND I TOLD THEM, DO NOT TAKE FENTANYL.
I TELL MY, MY, UH, VETERANS DO NOT TAKE FENTANYL.
AND HERE WE ARE AGAIN WITH A PROBLEM WITH FENTANYL AND, UH, JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE, AND I'M PRETTY SURE THAT YOU ALL ARE AWARE OF THAT, UH, NEVER SHOULD HAVE HAD FENTANYL AND WHY THE MAKERS OF THIS, UH, OF THIS BAD, BAD, UH, FENTANYL IS, SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED.
BUT ANYWAY, I'LL LEAVE IT A DEAD.
I JUST DON'T WANNA MAKE SURE, AND I'M PRETTY SURE THAT YOU'RE SURE THAT THIS IS HURTING A LOT OF PEOPLE AND I'M GLAD IT IS TAKING IT OFF THE SHELVES.
AND, UH, I LOST A VETERAN TO FENTANYL THREE WEEKS AGO AND, UH, IT'S PRETTY TOUGH, UH, TO, TO, UH, LOSE A FRIEND, A COMBAT VIETNAM VETERAN JUST LIKE ME.
BUT I'LL JUST, I'LL LEAVE IT AT THAT AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
AND, UH, THANK YOU FOR TAKING THIS ISSUE, FENTANYL, BECAUSE IT IS DANGEROUS AND IT SHOULDN'T HAPPEN.
AND WE CERTAINLY SEND OUR CONDOLENCES TO YOU AND OTHERS THANK YOU AND THE LOSS OF YOUR FRIEND, COLLEAGUES.
