WE'RE SEEING A BIT OF A TREND OF THEM SAYING THAT THE, THE BUILDING THEY WEREN'T FAMILIAR WITH WHEN I FIRST CAME IN THERE, UM, THEY HAD SEVEN, UH, TV SCREENS THROUGHOUT THEIR BUILDING.
THEY WEREN'T SHOWING A TXN OR THE INTERNAL PUBLIC HEALTH, UH, CHANNEL TO BASICALLY DESCRIBE WHAT WAS AVAILABLE AT THAT BUILDING.
BUT IT GETS ACTUALLY A LOT WORSE.
AND I WANNA BE POSITIVE THAT I THINK WE CAN RECOVER AND DO BETTER.
BUT THERE WERE NEEDLES AND DIAPERS FOUND IN THE PARKING LOT.

THEY'RE AT THE YMCA THAT HAVE ABSOLUTELY DIED NOW.
THEY'VE ACTUALLY FALLEN OVER, I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL AS AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CONTRACTOR.
THERE'S ABOUT 30 TO 45 BUSHES THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE POLLINATOR TRACTORS, BEAUTIFUL FRAGRANCES.
WE ACTUALLY HAVE A CONTRACTOR CLEAN SCAPES SPRAYING, UH, GLYPHOSATE, WHICH IS AGAINST, I BELIEVE, CITY CODE TO KILL ALL OF THE NATURAL MOSSES AND WILDFLOWERS THAT ARE TRYING TO WRAP HERE IN THE SPRING.
WHAT WE'RE SEEING IS, UM, A LOT OF OPPORTUNITY TO PUT, FOR ONE, THERE'S A SIGN FOR, UH, CHALKBOARD SIGN TO SHOW PEOPLE RESOURCES.
WE HAVE WOMEN AT FOUR IN THE MORNING LINING UP FOR, UH, FOOD, OVER 200 PEOPLE, THEREBY THE PRESCHOOL.

UM, SO EVEN WHEN WE IDENTIFY THE RIGHT PROBLEMS, SYSTEMS CAN'T RESPOND FAST ENOUGH.
UM, SO IT'S REALLY NOT A PUBLIC HEALTH STRATEGY ISSUE THAT WE'RE RUNNING INTO HERE.
IT'S MORE OF AN EXECUTION ISSUE AND A CAPABILITY ISSUE THAT WE'RE RUNNING INTO.
SO WHAT WE'VE BUILT, INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR VENDORS OR EVEN CITY FUNDING TO COME, UM, WE'VE STARTED DOWN THIS PATH FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS.
UM, SO AFTER COVID, LUCKILY WE GOT A LITTLE BREAK AND A LITTLE REPRIEVE.
WE COULD GO FOCUS ON NEW BUSINESS.
UM, SO THIS TEAM HERE IN THE LAST THREE YEARS HAVE BUILT, UM, A PLATFORM USING, UM, CITI EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE, UM, USING THE MICROSOFT AZURE ENVIRONMENT THAT'S INSIDE THE CITY SYSTEMS. WE DESIGNED IT TO BE REUSABLE ACROSS ANY USE CASE THAT YOU CAN THINK OF.
AND IT'S ALREADY USED TO CREATE MULTIPLE WORKING APPLICATIONS, RIGHT? THIS PLATFORM IS ALREADY HAVE ABOUT 17 OR MORE WORKING APPLICATIONS.
SO IT'S NOT AN EXPERIMENT, IT'S NOT SOME IDEA THAT WE HAVE.
IT ALLOWS US TO GO FROM AN IDEA TO A SOLUTION IN ABOUT A WEEK, SOMETIMES A LITTLE MORE OR LESS DEPENDING.
SO WHAT THIS SYSTEM DOES, UM, THIS IS WHERE WHEN YOU HEAR THE TERM AI, THIS ACTUALLY MATTERS.
IT'S THE CAPABILITY OF AI, NOT THE CHAT GBT THAT YOU'RE LISTENING TO OR YOU'RE PLAYING WITH.

WE DON'T HAVE A PATH FOR IT TO ACTUALLY BE RECOGNIZED.
SO THAT'S WHAT WE'RE HERE FOR TODAY.

AND SO I JUST KIND OF WANTED TO USE THE SAME INDUSTRY LANGUAGE SO THAT IT WAS UNDERSTOOD.

I LOOKED AT WHAT THEIR BUDGET WAS DURING COVID, UM, WHICH I THINK WE HAD AN INFLUX OF FUNDS AND WE'RE REALLY ABLE TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY MUCH BETTER IN THE WAY THAT WE WOULD LIKE, AND THAT WAS LIKE OVER $300 MILLION I THINK.
WHEREAS TODAY, THEIR, UH, BUDGET IS A HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS, SO IT DEFINITELY CUT SIGNIFICANTLY, AND THIS IS NOT GONNA GET THEM THERE, OBVIOUSLY.
UM, I ALSO WANTED TO BE A LITTLE BIT FLEXIBLE THOUGH, IN JUST UNDERSTANDING THAT, YOU KNOW, SALES TAX AND AN ECONOMY CAN GO DOWN AND WHATNOT, THAT, UH, IT MAY NOT BE REALLY FEASIBLE FOR THE CITY TO MAINTAIN THAT SAME BUDGET PLUS THIS.
SO I DIDN'T WANNA BE TOO PRESCRIPTIVE IN THAT.

SO THE 14 MILLION COULD GO TO STILL FUNDING CURRENT PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT ARE SERVING THOSE INDIVIDUALS.
SO PERHAPS ENHANCING THE PROGRAMS THAT ALREADY EXIST, OR

AND SO THIS WOULD JUST PROVIDE A STABLE, SUSTAINABLE, UH, FUND FOR, FOR A BH CAREMARK FOR SPECIFIC? CORRECT.

UM, I KNOW THAT THERE WAS JUST A RECENT EQUITY, AND I THINK IT'S STILL OPENED THE EQUITY, UH, GRANT TO BE ABLE TO SUPPORT IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES, UM, WHICH IS NOT CONSISTENT OF A LOT OF INFORMATION, JUST YOUR DEMOGRAPHICS, WHICH IS SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE'RE NEEDING IN YOUR GRANT, IN, IN YOUR PROPOSAL, WOULD THAT BE AS A WHOLE OR WOULD SOME PORTION OF THAT BE ABLE TO SUPPORT SOME NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE NOT RECEIVING FEDERAL FUNDING AND WILL BE ABLE TO, UH, SUPPORT THESE COMMUNITIES AND WELL, THE, THE, THESE COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE SO MUCH INFORMATION THAT THEY'RE TARGETED, RIGHT? RIGHT NOW, THE SENSITIVITY OF BEING ABLE TO LIKE PUT ALL A WHOLE ADDRESS FOR SOMEBODY THAT YOU ARE PROVIDING SERVICES IS, IS IN JEOPARDY, RIGHT?
