Approve the appointment of a representative to the Parkland Events Task Force, established by City Council Resolution No. 20150305-025. Presenter: Cora Wright, Assistant Director, Parks and Recreation Council Action: On March 5, 2015 the Austin City Council passed Resolution No. 20150305-025 establishing the Parkland Events Task Force. This Resolution requires one representative from the Parks and Recreation Board.
Make a recommendation to the City Council regarding the renaming of the Quick Start Tennis Courts located at 7800 Johnny Morris Road. Presenter: April Thedford, Parks and Recreation Location: 7800 Johnny Morris Road Staff Recommendation: Staff supports the Land, Facilities, and Programs Committee recommendation. Committee Recommendation: On February 10, 2015 the Land, Facilities, and Programs Committee voted 2-0 to table the item indefinitely until a new naming process is in place.
