OLD BUSINESS a. Update on Austin Energy Generation Task Force b. Update on Citizens’ Water Conservation Implementation Task Force
Conduct a public hearing to discuss Austin Energy’s proposed recommendations to implement standards under the Federal Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act.
Recommend approval of a rebate to BULL CREEK MARKET for the installation of a solar photovoltaic system at 6203 North Capitol of Texas Highway in Austin, Texas, in the amount of $100,000.
c. Recommend approval of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of $2,900,000 in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant funds from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) as the administering agency, and amending the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Austin Energy Operating Budget Special Revenue Fund of Ordinance No. 20090914-002 to appropriate $2,900,000 for weatherization of homes for low-income, elderly, and disabled customers within Austin Energy’s service area. d. Recommend authorization to negotiate and execute an Interlocal Agreement between the City of Austin/Austin Energy and Travis County to implement a home weatherization program for low-income, elderly, and disabled residents, as provided for and funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
Recommend approval of a 24-month interlocal agreement with THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN, on behalf of the Clean Energy Incubator for mutual assistance in the clean energy field in an amount not to exceed $710,000.

Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to FREE TOILET REPLACEMENTS, INC. for the installation of 718 water efficient toilets at Barrington Park Place Apartments, Austin, TX, in the amount of $143,600. h. Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to FST INTERNATIONAL INC. for the installation of 469 water efficient toilets at the Falls on Bull Creek, Austin, TX, in the amount of $93,800. i. Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to GREYSTAR for the installation of 374 water efficient toilets at Estates at Quarry Lake, Austin, TX, in the amount of $74,800. j. Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to GREYSTAR for the installation of 371 water efficient toilets at Museo Apartments, Austin, TX, in the amount of $74,200. k. Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to STASSNEY WOODS APARTMENTS, Austin TX, for the installation of 455 water efficient toilets in the amount of $91,000. l. Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to FREE TOILET REPLACEMENTS, INC. for the installation of 276 water efficient toilets at the Westdale Creek Apartments, Austin, TX, in an amount not to exceed $55,200. m. Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to FREE TOILET REPLACEMENTS, INC. for the installation of 620 water efficient toilets at the Westdale Parke Apartments, Austin, TX, in an amount not to exceed $124,000. o. Recommend approval of a ratification of a rebate to LEXINGTON HILLS APARTMENTS for the installation of 299 water efficient toilets at Lexington Hills Apartments, Austin, TX, in the amount of $59,800.
Recommend authorization to award and execute a 24-month requirements supply contract with FERGUSON ENTERPRISES, INC., Austin, TX, for the purchase of high-efficiency toilets for the Austin Water Utility in an estimated amount not to exceed $2,242,500, with three 12-month extension options in an estimated amount not to exceed $1,121,250 per extension option, for a total estimated contract amount not to exceed $5,606,250.
