d. Discussion and possible action regarding the report of the Austin Generation Resource Planning Task Force e. Consider and approve Austin Energy’s proposed generation resource and carbon reduction plan
Conduct a public hearing to consider Austin Energy’s proposed recommendations to implement standards under the Federal Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act.
Recommend authorization to award and execute a 24-month requirements supply contract with FERGUSON ENTERPRISES, INC., Austin, TX, for the purchase of high-efficiency toilets for the Austin Water Utility in an estimated amount not to exceed $2,242,500, with three 12-month extension options in an estimated amount not to exceed $1,121,250 per extension option, for a total estimated contract amount not to exceed $5,606,250.
Recommend approval of an ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Austin Water Utility Operating Budget of Ordinance No. 20090914-002 to decrease the Austin Water Utility Operating Fund Ending Balance by $4,000,000 to fund an increase of $500,000 Water Conservation marketing expenditure including addition of three full time equivalent positions and associated expenses of $240,335, as well as an increase of $3,500,000 Transfer to Conservation Rebates and Incentives Fund ($3,000,000 for additional rebate expenditure and $500,000 for Water Conservation Task Force project reserve); and also amend the Conservation Rebates and Incentives Fund for a $3,500,000 increase in Transfer from the Austin Water Utility Operating Fund and increase appropriations for Water Conservation Rebates by $3,500,000.
