APPROVAL OF MINUTES Consider approval of the minutes from the Mayor’s Committee for People with Disabilities May 11, 2018 meeting
CITIZEN COMMUNICATION: Each speaker signed up prior to the meeting being called to order will be called in order of sign-up and will be allowed three minutes to speak about items posted or not on the agenda
Discuss commissioners sharing the MCPD formal recommendation regarding speed cushions with respective City Council member – Full Committee
Discussion and possible action - Prioritize and formalize budget recommendations – Full Committee Topics include: Parks programming, greater focus on disability in criminal justice training, i.e., Pathways to Justice, increasing employment opportunities for jobseekers with disabilities, low-income access to housing, Braille on Police Officer badges, increase in the number of adult bi-gender changing stations, continue funding of Sidewalk Master Plan.
Discussion and possible action – Discuss public transit access to the new Central Library. Recommend The City recommend to Cap Metro changes in bus stop placement to improve access for people with disabilities – Full Committee
