ITEMS FOR COMMISSION’S REVIEW AND RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL TO CITY COUNCIL 5. Recommend approval to authorize award and execution of a construction contract with Austin Underground, Inc., for Carson Creek Basin Wastewater Line Improvements in the amount of $1,512,981 plus a $151,298.10 contingency, for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,664,279.10. 6. Recommend approval to authorize award and execution of a construction contract with Blastco Texas, Inc., for Davis Lane # 1 Reservoir Improvements in the amount of $4,847,473.00 plus contingency of $484,747.30 for a total contract amount not to exceed $5,332,220.30. 7. Recommend approval to authorize award and execution of a construction contract with Facilities Rehabilitation Inc. (MBE), for the Southland Oaks Wastewater Improvements project in the amount of $1,696,755 plus a $169,675.50 contingency, for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,866,430.50. (Districts 5 and 8)
Recommend approval of a resolution consenting to the annexation by Travis County Water Control and Improvement District No. 10 of approximately 4.42 acres located south of Trail of Madrones approximately 1,200 feet west of the intersection of Toro Canyon Road and Trail of Madrones in Austin’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
Recommend approval to authorize negotiation and execution of four multi-term contracts for electrical repairs and related services with Alterman, Inc.; Elk Electric, Inc.; Facility Solutions Group, Inc. D/B/A FSG Facility Solutions Group, Inc.; and J.S. Electric, Inc. (MBE); each for up to five years for total contract amounts not to exceed $10,885,000 divided among the contractors. This is a multi-department contract. Austin Water’s requested authorization is $1,980,000.
Recommend approval to authorize award of a multi-term contract with Clean Earth of Alabama, Inc., to provide collection, transportation, processing, and disposal of hazardous waste, for up to five years for a total contract amount not to exceed $4,440,000. This is a multi-department contract. Austin Water’s requested authorization is $140,000.
Recommend approval to authorize negotiation and execution of a professional services agreement with Carollo Engineers, Inc., (staff recommendation) or one of the other qualified responders for Request for Qualifications Solicitation No. CLMP271 to provide engineering services for the Walnut Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Headworks Improvements project in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000.
Recommend approval to authorize negotiation and execution of a professional services agreement with CP&Y, Inc., (staff recommendation) or one of the other qualified responders for Request for Qualifications Solicitation No. CLM274 to provide engineering services for Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant Headworks in an amount not to exceed $750,000.
