RUBBER DO LET'S GO AHEAD AND GET STARTED.

HELLO, MY NAME IS, UH, SPV.

[CALL TO ORDER]

HELLO.

MY NAME IS NEHEMIAH PITS THIRD AND I AM CHAIR OF THE COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY AND SELF INDICATIONS MEETING A COMMISSION.

I'M CALLING TO ORDER OUR SCHEDULED MEETING, UH, TODAY, JUNE 10TH, TWO WEEKS.

WHY? 10TH 2020 AT, UH, OUR SCHEDULED TIME AT 3:00 PM.

NOW THAT WE HAVE CORN, WE ARE GETTING STARTED.

SO AGAIN WITH, I'D LIKE TO START BY DOING THE ROLL CALL AND THE STREAMLINE THAT PROCESS.

I'M GOING TO CALL YOUR NAME AND YOU'LL BE KIND ENOUGH JUST TO SAY PRESENCE.

UH, AND THEN WE'LL WALK THROUGH, I'LL SAY HE'S NOT HERE.

WE'LL FINISH THE WHOLE CALL.

SO HERE.

OKAY.

I'M JUST GONNA GO ON THE ORANGEBURG.

IT'S ON MY SCREEN.

UH, SO COMMISSIONER CALL THOMSON BEAVERS, PRESS IT.

THANK YOU, MR. FLOYD PRESENCE.

THANK YOU, COMMISSIONER SOPHIE GARUM.

THANK YOU, COMMISSIONER.

DASGUPTA PRESIDENT.

THANK YOU, COMMISSIONER MALCOLM X.

AND AGAIN, I MAY HAVE MY, IF IT'S THE THIRD I'M PRESENT AS WELL, ABSENT, THIS TIME IS ORPHAN SIDE SHELL REINHARDT.

CLAUDIA IS, AND WE HAVE A VACANCY, WHICH HAS IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER BECAUSE IT MIGHT MEAN THAT THE ONLY FIVE FOR QUORUM IN THE FUTURE, BUT I NEED TO CONFIRM THAT WITH JESSE TO FEEL GOOD ABOUT IT ANYWAY, BUT WE'RE GOOD NOW.

SO LET'S PROCEED.

LET'S AGENDA IS VERY SIMPLE TODAY.

YOU'RE NOT TRYING TO READ ALONG WITH IT AND MY COMPUTER'S DRAGGING.

I KNOW WHAT IT SAYS.

SOMEBODY'S GONNA WAIT FOR IT TO COME UP.

WE ALWAYS OPEN WITH CITIZEN COMMUNICATION AND THIS TIME THERE IS NO SCHEDULED SINCE THE COMMUNICATION.

SO WE'LL PROCEED TO THE NEXT AGENDA ITEM.

EXCUSE ME.

UH, IT VARIES.

UH, WE OFTEN DO.

WE USED TO BE ASSESSING, GOING TO FIRST AND THEN GO TO APPROVAL OF MINUTES.

UM, WE'VE KIND OF BOUNCED AROUND THAT, BUT WITH THE AGENDA ITEM ONE BEHIND THIS, UH, AND THEY'RE BEING ASSISTED COMMUNICATE THAT COMMUNICATION.

LET'S GO AHEAD AND GO TO THE

[1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – June 10, 2020]

APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES.

SHOULD ALL HAVE A COPY OF THAT IN YOUR INBOX.

I'VE GOT A COPY ON MY SCREEN RIGHT NOW.

YOU DON'T TAKE A MOMENT TO TAKE A LOOK AT THAT AND THEN I'LL ENTERTAIN MOTIONS TO APPROVE THE MINUTES THAT'S PRESENTED ANYBODY READY TO SUBMIT A MOTION, EMOTIONAL THAT WE KNOW IT'S HARD.

UM, BUT I KNOW JESSE'S MOTIVATION FOR SENDING THESE OUT, UH, AHEAD OF TIME.

I MOVED THROUGH BOOTH.

THANK YOU.

I MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE AS PRESENTED.

IS THERE A SECOND TICKET? OKAY.

MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES AS PRESENTED WAS SUBMITTED BY AND SECOND SET, I THINK BY MULTIPLE, UH, COMMISSIONERS ALL IN FAVOR OF APPROVING THE MINUTES AS PRESENTED, PLEASE SAY, AYE.

AYE, AYE.

AYE.

OPPOSED.

ALL RIGHT.

THE MINUTES

[00:05:01]

ARE APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY, BUT I WILL PROCEED TO THE MAIN MEAT OF OUR AGENDA ITEM NUMBER

[2A. NEW BUSINESS: Commission Discussion on Annual Priorities for the Annual Work Plan]

TWO, COMMISSION DISCUSSION, A DISCUSSION ON ANNUAL PRIORITIES FOR THE ANNUAL WORK PLAN.

SO I'D LIKE TO BEGIN BY THANKING EVERYBODY FOR, UH, WHATEVER TIME ATTENTION YOU HAD TO BE ABLE TO OFFER THIS EFFORT.

UH, THIS WAS A PARTICULARLY CHALLENGING MONTH BECAUSE IT WAS A HOLIDAY MONTH AMID VARIETY OF CHANGES, UH, SOCIETAL CHANGES, UH, TRANSITIONING TOWARDS REOPENING, TRANSITIONING TOWARDS CLOSING, UH, SAME THING WITH EVERYONE IN TERMS OF THEIR WORK TYPE SCHEDULES, UNFORTUNATELY SUMMER MONTHS.

SO THOSE WERE MANAGING CHILDCARE ARE ALSO HAVING TO MANAGE THOSE CHALLENGES, EXTENDED FAMILY, UH, ON AND ON AND ON, UH, LET ALONE THE THINGS THAT HAPPEN THAT ARE UNEXPECTED IN LIFE THAT ANYONE MAY BE DEALING WITH.

SO I WANT TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THAT I APPRECIATE ANY ATTENTION YOU'VE HAD TO SPEND ON THIS EFFORT AND THAT EVEN THOUGH WE LAID DOWN PLANS TO MEET AS WORKING GROUPS OVER THE PAST FOUR WEEKS AND SOME WERE ABLE TO PULL IT OFF AND SOME WEREN'T THAT'S OKAY, BECAUSE THE FACT IS THAT THIS WILL BECOME ALL WORKING GROUP SESSION.

AND WHAT I'LL DO IS TAKE THE CONSENSUS, CONFIRMED INSIGHTS, PLANS, AND PRIORITIES FROM THIS MEETING.

AND I WILL PUT THEM INTO THE PLAN AND THEN WE'LL VOTE ON THAT IN THE NEXT COMMISSION MEETING, BUT THAT'LL BE, THE PLAN WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE CITY AND THE PLAN THAT WE'LL ALREADY START WORKING ON, KNOWING THAT WE'VE ALL AGREED TO IT.

SO WITH YOUR FAITH IN ME AS YOUR CHAIR, I TRUST THAT YOU ALLOW ME TO DO THAT, ALLOW THE CIRCUMSTANCES, UH, BUT AT THE SAME TIME WITH THAT PLAN AND IN MIND, I'D LIKE TO OPEN IT UP TO THE DISCUSSION FOR THAT PLAN LIABLE HAD TO DO MAKE DO.

ALRIGHT.

SO, UH, SO I HAD SENT OUT YESTERDAY THE, UH, GOALS FOR THE INFRASTRUCTURE WORKING GROUP, JUST A FEW A OF PATIENTS TO THAT.

THAT WAS A GREAT LIST.

UM, SO THE QUESTION IS, DO THE OTHER WORK GROUPS HAVE DOCUMENTS LIKE THAT, THAT THEY COULD SHARE WITH THE COMMISSION? THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION.

UH, AND I WANT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, UH, VERY SPECIFICALLY, UH, THE FACT IS YES, I KNOW.

UH, SO THERE'S ONLY THREE WORK GROUPS AND ALTHOUGH THERE IS SIMILAR DOCUMENTATION FROM THE DIGITAL INCLUSION WORKING GROUP AT THIS TIME, THERE ISN'T SUCH DOCUMENTATION FROM THEM.

OKAY.

BUT THE THING THAT I WANT US TO REALLY FOCUS ON IN THIS CALL TODAY IS WE'RE GOING TO WALK THROUGH THAT DOCUMENT.

WE'RE GOING TO WALK THROUGH, UH, WHAT WE HAVE AS WELL FROM THE DIGITAL INCLUSION GROUP, A WORKING GROUP THAT WE NEED TO FOCUS ON.

BUT THE KEY THING TO KEEP IN MIND IS THAT THIS IS OUR WORKING GROUP SESSION NOW, RIGHT? THIS IS OUR OPPORTUNITY ALL TALK TOGETHER ABOUT THESE PRIORITIES, UH, FOR NOT HOLDING ANYTHING BACK, UH, FOR US IT'S ALL PART OF THE RECORDED RECORD.

SO KEEP THAT IN MIND.

BUT AT THE SAME TIME, WE CAN'T MEET TOGETHER LIKE THIS, EXCEPT FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

SO THIS WILL BE OUR BEST OPPORTUNITY TO BRAINSTORM AS A COLLECTIVE ON THIS PLAN.

AND WHAT I'M COMMITTED TO DOING IS TO TAKING WHAT WE AGREED TO AND CONSENSUS TODAY, COMBINED FROM THE SHEET THAT YOU DID, COMMISSION DASGUPTA THE ADDITIONS MADE BY COMMISSIONER NEEDS.

UH, THE INSIGHTS THAT I GARNERED FROM COMMISSIONER WROTE, UH, AND ANY THAT COME UP TODAY AND THEN TO PUT THEM IN THE PLAN THAT I SUBMIT.

SO WHAT I'M ASKING IS IF YOU'RE OKAY WITH THAT PLAN AND THEN WE'LL GET TO OTHER QUESTIONS.

YES.

I AGREE WITH THE PROCESS.

OKAY.

THAT IS ABOUT THE BEST WAY WE CAN DO TO MOVE FORWARD.

IN FACT, I'M GOING TO REQUEST A, YOU KNOW, COMMISSION FLIGHT HOURS, IF HE HAS ANY EDITS, OR IF HE'S COMFORTABLE WITH THE VERSION THAT, UH, RUSSIA EATS, UH, FORWARD.

CAUSE YOU KNOW, AN EDIT OVER WHAT I HAD CREATED.

SO THE COMMISSIONING, WELL, I WILL ENTERTAIN REQUESTS.

I WILL ENTERTAIN A REQUEST AT THE APPROPRIATE TIME I'M LOOKING FOR RIGHT NOW IS,

[00:10:01]

IS IT'S THE VALIDATION FOR THAT.

AND THANK YOU.

THANKS FOR THAT COMMISSION.

THAT'S GOOD.

SO COMMISSIONER EATS, ARE YOU OKAY WITH THIS PLAN? YEAH.

OKAY.

SO LET'S PLAN AGAIN.

OKAY.

LET ME REPEAT THE PLAN AGAIN IS TOO.

I APPRECIATE YOU SHARING THAT, JOHN, BUT I HAVE A MORE COMPREHENSIVE DOCUMENT.

SO IF YOU COULD PULL IT DOWN, PLEASE.

THANK YOU.

UH, THE PLAN IS TO, UH, TO, UH, THE PLAN, AS I MENTIONED, IT'S TO MAKE THIS CALL AS PRODUCTIVE AS POSSIBLE AND IT'S ALL TOGETHER AND TO SHARE INSIGHTS ON THE WORK PLAN, RIGHT? SO AS CONSENSUS IS CONFIRMED TODAY, RIGHT, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE VOTES AND CONSENSUS GATHERING TODAY.

LIKE WE NORMALLY DO IN A WORKING BRUCE, WE'RE GOING TO BEEN HAVE AGREEMENT ABOUT WHAT OUR PRIORITIES ARE.

I'M THEN GOING TO TAKE THOSE PRIORITIES AND PUT THEM INTO THE LAND.

RIGHT.

AND THAT WILL INCLUDE ALL THE PRIORITIES THAT WERE STATED TODAY.

AND ANY OTHER PARTIES THAT I, AS CHAIR FEEL ARE IMPORTANT THAT WE HAVE NOT ADDRESSED, BUT THEY WILL ALL STILL VOTE ON THAT PLAN.

RIGHT? SO THIS IS GOING TO BE A WORKING SESSION.

DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? OKAY.

YOU WERE BREAKING UP A LOT THERE, BUT I THINK THAT I GOT THAT AND IT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME.

SO WE ARE GOING TO BE VOTING ON THE PLAN, THE NEXT SCHEDULED MEETING THAT WILL BE AUGUST, I GUESS.

LET ME REPEAT THAT BACK TO HOWEVER, THE PLAN WILL ALREADY BE IN MOTION.

TIRPITZ I THINK YOU KIND OF FROZE.

WE CAN'T HEAR YOU AND EVERYTHING IS IN SLOW MOTION.

YOU HEAR US CHIP IT'S JOHN.

I THINK WE NEED A BETTER SOLUTION THAN THIS WEBEX IT'S THIS WEBEX IS TERRIBLE.

YEAH.

I'M NOT REAL IMPRESSED WITH EITHER CENTERING THE FACT THAT THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN.

ANYWAY, I DON'T UNDERSTAND IF THERE'S ANY REAL PROBLEMS. I SUGGEST WE EITHER USE THE MICROSOFT SOLUTION OR A ZOO.

WE'RE GOING TO BE OPEN, WHO CARES? UH, THANKS FOR THE INQUIRY, UH, COMMISSIONERS DESCOPED, UH, AND COMMISSIONER EIGHTS.

UM, THIS IS THE PLATFORM THAT HAS BEEN, UM, ADOPTED AND SIGNED OFF ON BY THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK.

UM, AND THAT'S SOMETHING THAT THIS IS THE CURRENT PLATFORM THAT WE'RE, UH, LIMITED TO, UM, PERHAPS THAT COULD BE A WORK PLAN ITEM, UH, SERIOUSLY, UH, FOR THE COMMISSION TO MAYBE EXPLORE DIFFERENT OPTIONS, BUT IT DOES LOOK LIKE CHAIR PITS IS, UH, EXPERIENCING BUFFERING HERE.

MAYBE, MAYBE, MAYBE ANOTHER LINE I CAN, UH, DEFINE A GOOD PLATFORM, WHICH UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES, LET ME GO INTO THAT IS RELIABLE AND, UH, AND HUMAN FACTOR.

THAT SOUNDS GOOD.

OKAY.

I'VE GOT TWO SCREENS DMI.

NOW WHAT ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE? YEAH.

DO I'M SEEING THE CHIP FITS INTO TWO WINDOWS FROZEN? SO I THINK THAT WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE IS FOR THE FROZEN ONE, BE A LEAD THE MEETING.

YEAH, I THINK WE GO, OKAY.

[00:15:04]

YEAH.

THE ONE WHO THE MEETING, HOPEFULLY THAT'S CHANGED.

I JUST HAD TO DELETE THE OTHER MIC.

SO, UH, UH, ARE WE OKAY NOW? CAN YOU GUYS HEAR ME? YES, I CAN HEAR YOU NOW.

OKAY.

THE IMAGE IS FROZEN NOW YOU'RE MOVING, SEEING WORDS.

HELLO? YES, WE CAN HEAR YOU.

CAN YOU SPEAKING? I HEARD EVERYTHING.

UH, I APPRECIATE IT OBVIOUSLY, BECAUSE THIS IS DISRUPTIVE.

UH, I, I WANT TO TRY TO GET CONTROL OF THE AGENDA AGAIN THOUGH HERE.

UM, AND CIRCLE BACK TO THAT POINT, BECAUSE PLATFORM IS AN ISSUE, UH, OBVIOUSLY, UM, BUT IF WE CAN TABLE THAT UNTIL NEW BUSINESS, THAT'D BE GREAT COMMISSION.

THAT'S STUPID.

YES.

UH, LET ME PLAY BACK.

WHAT I HEARD IS THAT YOU'RE GOING TO BE TAKING ALL THE INPUTS FROM ALL THE CHAIRS OF THE WORKING GROUPS.

UH, AND YOU ALREADY HAVE OUR, UH, YOU KNOW, EDITS DOCUMENT THAT WE SENT OUT AND PUT YOU TO THE FULL REQUEST TO COME TO A MEETING WITH THE AGREEMENT, THE MEETING OF THE MINDS.

SO ONCE WE REALIZED THAT WE WERE GOING TO TAKE THAT INPUT FROM OTHER GROUPS AND ASSIMILATE THEM INTO A SINGLE PLAN THAT WE WANT TO DISCUSS A BOAT ON NEXT TIME, YOU KNOW, YOU GUYS ARE YOU'RE RIGHT? YES, YOU DID.

OKAY.

I AGREE WITH YOU.

THAT'S A GOOD PROCESS, RIGHT.

AND I HEARD, UH, THE COMMISSIONER NEEDS TO THE AGREEMENT.

UH, SO THIS PROCEEDING, UH, SEE WHERE WE ARE AT ONE TIME.

UM, WE HAVE ABOUT AN HOUR LEFT NOW, SO LET'S GO AHEAD AND JUMP IN HERE.

UH, LET ME SHOVE SHARE MY, SO HERE'S THE CHALLENGE I HAVE NOW.

I'VE GOT A DOCUMENT THAT I WANT TO SHARE.

UM, BUT IT'S ON MY LAPTOP AND I'M ON MY PHONE.

SO BEAR WITH ME HERE WHILE I SIT MR. JOHN OR BETTER YET, JOHN, CAN YOU GO AND PULL UP YOUR DOCUMENT? I'LL JUST, UH, READ MY ADDITIONS FOR THE SECOND EXPEDIENCY AND ACTUALLY, YOU KNOW, UH, I WON'T BE ABLE TO, AND JOHN, I'M GOING TO SHARE WITH YOU MY LINK.

SO THIS HAPPENS EASIER THAN, UH, I'LL DO THAT.

OKAY.

I SHIP.

OKAY.

THANK YOU.

GOT THAT UP ON THE SCREEN NOW.

ALL RIGHT.

SO, UH, WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT RIGHT NOW IS, UH, A DOCUMENTS HAVE A WORK PLAN, ACTION ITEMS AND RELATED AGENDA ITEMS. HOWEVER, I WANT TO CLARIFY SOMETHING IMPORTANT ABOUT THIS DOCUMENT.

SO THE DOCUMENT ITSELF IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A LIST OF CHALLENGE STATEMENTS THAT ARE FOR THE ENTIRE COMMISSION AND THEN GO THROUGH EACH WORKING GROUP AND THEN LIST OUT ALL THE CHALLENGES THAT GIVEN THEMSELVES WITH THEM, THAT WHAT JESSE SOUGHT TO DO WAS TO PASTE THE AGENDA ITEMS FOR EACH CORRESPONDING SETTING, UH, WHERE WE SHOWED THE TENCENT.

NOW I COPIED

[00:20:01]

AND PASTED THIS AND SHARED THIS, UH, AND WE ALL HAVE COPIES OF THIS DOCUMENT ANYWAY.

SO I ENCOURAGE YOU ALL TO BE THINKING THAT HAVEN'T ALREADY ABOUT CHALLENGE STATEMENTS.

UH, BUT AS YOU CAN SEE, THEY'RE PRETTY STRAIGHT FORWARD.

AND I WANT TO LOOK AT THE VERSION THAT YOU'RE LOOKING AT BECAUSE EVERYONE RIGHT NOW I BELIEVE IS LOOKING AT A VERSION WHICH COMMISSIONER THAT'S EDITED AND CONDITIONER HAS EDITED.

HOWEVER, THERE ARE PORTIONS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN COMBINED HERE.

SO, UH, JOHN IS MUCH BETTER TO GET THAT VERSION I SENT YOU, BUT THAT WOULD ACTUALLY HELP TO SPEED THINGS UP.

WE PUT THAT VERSION.

YES.

CHAIR PETS.

LET ME SWITCH SCREENS HERE TO PULL UP THE APP.

OKAY.

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

BUT IN THE MEANTIME, LET'S TALK ABOUT IT.

ALL RIGHT.

SO THE DOCUMENT THAT WAS JUST A PATIENT, YOUR DESK, AND I HAD EDITED.

SO WHAT IS THE DOCUMENT WE'RE LOOKING AT NOW? WELL, AS YOU MENTIONED, UM, THAT IS THE ONE THAT, UH, COMMISSIONED US TO FENCE OUT AND LET YOU EDITED THE CHALLENGES THAT IS SINGLE WORKING GROUP DOCUMENT.

THAT'S NOT THE WORK PLAN DOCUMENT FOR THE WHOLE COMMISSION, WHICH WE'RE REVIEWING NOW AS A WHOLE COMMISSION.

SO WHAT I SHARED WITH JOHN IS THAT DOCUMENT, AND WHAT I TRIED TO DO WAS TO PLUG IN WHAT I DID BASICALLY WAS PLUGGED IN MY OVERLAYS ON TOP OF YOUR OVERLAYS ON TOP OF THE OVERALL DOCUMENTS, WE COULD LOOK AT IT ALL AT ONCE RATHER THAN LOOKING AT THE PIECEMEAL.

THAT WAS MY GOAL.

SO, UH, I'M LOOKING AT THE DOCUMENT THAT I SENT.

UH, THERE ARE SECTIONS THAT ARE OVERALL CHALLENGE STATEMENTS THAT I REGRET NOT SEEING THEM LIKE POINT NUMBER TWO.

IN FACT, I AGGREGATE NUMBER ONE, ADDED NUMBER TWO, AND YOU DIDN'T NUMBER FIVE, AND THOSE ARE ALL OVERALL CHALLENGES TO THE COMMISSIONER.

RIGHT.

AND, UH, THE KEY THING JOHN IS WORKING ON PULLING UP THE OVERALL DOCUMENT, NOT THE ONE FOR YOUR WORKING GROUP.

DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? RIGHT.

WE'RE TRYING TO, TO SHOW THAT THE MASTER DOCUMENT, NOT JUST THE, UH, THE WORKER DOCUMENT.

YEAH.

IF YOU SCROLL UP, YOU KNOW, THERE'S STUFF IN RED, RIGHT THERE, YOU NOTICE A NUMBER ONE THAT'S CHALLENGES, NUMBER TWO IS NEW, AND THEN THERE'S NUMBER FIVE, WHICH I'VE EDITED.

SO THOSE ARE OVERARCHING CHALLENGES.

AND THEN I WENT DOWN AND DROPPED THE ROAD.

YEAH.

I REALIZED THAT.

THANK YOU.

AND YOU KNOW, WHAT YOU'RE SEEING IS ESSENTIALLY MY EDITS AND, AND COMMISSION NEEDS EDITS AS WELL.

WELL, YOU, I KNOW JOHN, I'M SORRY, JOHN COMMISSIONERS.

THIS IS THE PROPOSED WORK PLAN ITEMS AND THEY, UH, ACCOMPLISHMENTS, UH, FROM THE YEAR.

SO THIS IS THE COMPREHENSIVE DOCUMENT.

THERE MAY BE ADDICTS REQUIRED TO FURTHER THE NATURE OF THE DIGITAL INCLUSION AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT WORKING GROUP.

UM, HOWEVER, THIS, THIS, THIS DOES REPRESENT THE BRANDS OF DOCUMENT FOR WHAT I'M SHARING ON THE SCREEN, UH, AND THE KID WORKING GROUP.

I'M SORRY.

OKAY.

WELL LET'S WHY DON'T WE DO THIS THEN? WHY DON'T WE GO AHEAD AND, UH, AND START? UM, WELL, SO THE CHALLENGE I HAVE IS THAT, UH, I WANT TO BEGIN.

OKAY.

UM, THE DISCUSSION ON THE CHALLENGE STATEMENTS YOU LOOK AT, UH, AT ALL OF THEM, BUT THAT'S OKAY.

WHAT WE'LL DO THEN IS, UH, START WITH, UH, OBVIOUSLY

[00:25:01]

START WITH THE CHALLENGE STATEMENTS THAT COMMISSIONER DASGUPTA HAS LISTED ON TOP OF THE ONES THAT WE ALREADY HAD FROM OUR PLAN LAST YEAR AND GO FROM THERE.

SO, UH, THANKS FOR HOLDING THAT UP, JOHN, BY THE WAY, UM, JOHN, WHAT I HAD SENT FOR TWO DOCUMENTS, I TOOK OUT THE STATEMENTS FROM LAST YEAR, SEPARATED THE DOCUMENT.

DID YOU MERGE THEM BACK TOGETHER? UM, I DID.

I DID.

UH, YOU KNOW, MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T FOCUS ON THE WORK LINE LAST YEAR.

SURE.

ACHIEVEMENTS FROM LAST YEAR AS A SEPARATE DISCUSSION ITEMS, YOU WERE CORRECT ON THAT ONCE.

I THINK THAT FOR THE PURPOSES OF JUST MAKING THIS A SUCCINCT DISCUSSION ITEM, WE'LL JUST FOCUS ON PAGES ONE THROUGH FIVE, WHICH DOES NOT REPRESENT THE, MY, MY EFFORT TO BE EFFICIENT.

THERE SHOULDN'T BE, UH, MEANT TO DERAIL THE CONVERSATION HERE.

SO MY APOLOGIES, BUT WE CAN JUST FOCUS ON ONE THROUGH FIVE.

I THINK IT'S THE SECOND DOCUMENT IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.

OKAY.

SO AS WE LOOK AT THE COMMISSION CHALLENGE STATEMENTS, THE FIRST ONE, HOW MIGHT COMMISSION ENCOURAGE AND ADOPTION AND DEPLOYMENT OF SMALL CELL AND OTHER ADVANCING UPCOMING TECHNOLOGY, INCLUDING POSSIBLE EXTENDING SOME SERVICES TO AREAS BEYOND THE DOWNTOWN AREA NOW, AND A LOT OF, UH, YOU WE'RE HAVING, I WANT TO MAKE SURE TO EXPLAIN SOMETHING, UH, MY LIST OF, OF CHALLENGE STATEMENTS, EDITS THAT I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU, UH, PRIORITIZE OTHER THINGS.

A LOT OF THE CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES, THIS CHALLENGE STATEMENT IS ESSENTIALLY, UH, AN EDIT OF OUR EXISTING CHALLENGE STATEMENT.

SO INCLUDE A PROCESS, EXTENDING SUCH SERVICES TO AREAS BEYOND THE DOWNTOWN AREA.

IT'S NO LESS IMPORTANT OF A CHALLENGE STATEMENT.

IT'S A VERY IMPORTANT CHALLENGE STATEMENT.

UH, IT'S JUST NOT, I DON'T THINK OUR NUMBER ONE CHALLENGE.

SO WITH THAT, I WANT TO STATE WHAT I LISTED AS OUR NUMBER ONE CHALLENGE, I THINK, AND SEE IF WE ALL AGREE, HOW CAN THE COMMISSION BEST SUPPORT SUSTAINED COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY AND ACCESS FOR ALL RESIDENTS AMID THE COVID-19 AND DEMIC OR FUTURE CHALLENGES TO NORMAL.

SEE THE BOSTON SERVICE OPERATIONS, EG LIBRARY, SCHOOLS, AND BOSTON PROPERTIES.

I FEEL LIKE THAT IS OUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE.

IS IT UNDER YOU? ARE YOU PROPOSING THAT OR IS IT GOOD? IT'S ALREADY LISTED, BUT YOU DON'T SEE THE DOCUMENT THAT IT'S LISTED ON.

THAT'S THE REASON WHY I PROPOSED.

WE WAIT UNTIL JOHN PUCK, ONE THAT I PROVIDED.

UM, AND AS THIS IS ABOUT PRIORITIZATION, I WANT IT TO GO AND JUMP IN MY STADIUM THAT WE'RE GOING, GONNA HAVE TO WAIT FOR JOHN TO BE ABLE TO PULL IT UP.

NO, I, I TEACH, UH, VERY, VERY WELL IN THE POINT.

NUMBER ONE, WHERE IT TALKED ABOUT EXTENDING BEYOND THE BOUNDARY AREA, I WAS ACTUALLY BLIND, SOMETHING LIKE THAT, BUT I THINK YOU SAID IT BETTER, SO DOCUMENT TO EVERYONE BECAUSE WE COULD DOWNLOAD IT TO OUR OWN DEVICES AND LOOK AT IT NOW.

AND EVEN IF IT'S NOT ON THE SCREEN, WE CAN SEE IT.

YEAH.

THAT'S A GREAT SUGGESTION.

UH, LET ME GO AHEAD AND GIVE YOU THE LIMITS RIGHT NOW.

ALL RIGHT.

THANK YOU, SIR.

I SHOULDN'T HAVE NOT RECEIVED THAT YET, SO THAT'S WHY IT WASN'T WORTH SHARING.

OH, BUMMER.

OKAY.

BUT BE THE FACILITATOR SHARE COPY LINK.

OKAY.

I'VE GOT A TECHNICAL QUESTION HERE.

FULL SCREEN WITH A WEBEX.

HOW DO I MINIMIZE THAT?

[00:30:01]

OKAY.

OKAY.

I GUESS WHILE YOU'RE WAITING TO THAT, THAT SOUNDS LIKE THE FIRST PRIORITY TO ME, WE USE THAT.

THAT'S KIND OF GENERIC.

THAT IS PART OF OUR VIEW IS TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL CITIZENS OPTIMUM ACCESS TO THE INTERNET.

YEAH.

IN FACT, I WOULD GO NUTS, BUT FOR CRITICAL ISSUES SUCH AS SPENDING YES.

LET'S MAKE IT MORE GENERIC.

YEAH.

YEAH.

I APPRECIATE YOU.

UH, SEAN THERE, COMMISSIONER, UH, FLOYD.

I'D LIKE TO INVITE, UH, SOME OF OUR OTHER COMMISSIONERS TO WEIGH IN ON THIS.

IF WE CAN, UH, LET THEM HAVE AN AUDIENCE HERE.

UH, THE COMMISSIONER GUIRO COMMISSIONER THOMPSON.

YEAH.

CERTAINLY LET'S SAY JUST WAITING FOR A STABLE DOCUMENT FOR US TO GET TO A PLACE.

FAIR ENOUGH.

UH, COMMISSIONER THOMPSON, BEAVERS.

ANY THOUGHTS? WANT TO WAIT ON THAT DOCUMENT? I UNDERSTAND.

GREAT.

THE SAME THING IN FRONT OF MY COMPUTER SO I CAN READ IT.

I WAS TRYING TO SEE IT.

OKAY.

SO DID Y'ALL GET THAT? CAUSE I DROPPED THAT BLINKEN UH, TO THE INVITATION.

SO EVERYONE WHO WAS INVITED SHOULD HAVE HOPEFULLY RECEIVED IT, BUT NOT THE INVITATION BY REPLY AT ALL.

AND IT'S IN MY SENT MAIL.

UH, I AM IN RECEIPT OF THE NEW, OKAY.

I'M GOING TO SEND IT TO, AND I'M JUST GOING TO MISS THIS.

THIS SAYS THAT WE HAVE TO REQUEST ACCESS.

IT SHOULD NOT HAVE TO, IS THAT WHAT IT'S ASKING YOU TO DO? I'VE GOT THE SAME, THE GOOGLE DOCS.

I GOT TO REQUEST ACCESS.

WE GET THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE YOU SIGN INTO YOUR PC, YOUR COMMISSIONS, EMAIL ADDRESS THROUGH WHY DON'T YOU SEND IT TO OUR EMAIL.

I'M JUST TRYING TO GET, GET IT OUT EFFICIENTLY.

UM, THAT THAT'S THE OBJECTIVE.

SO, UM, WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO, BUT I'VE SEEN IT, I'VE NOW CHANGED IT SO EVERYONE CAN ACCESS THAT LINK.

SO HOPEFULLY YOU CAN ALL ACCESS IT NOW CONFIRMED.

OKAY.

AND OKAY.

I SEE NOW.

OKAY.

ALRIGHT.

ALRIGHT.

LET'S TAKE A LOOK AT THAT AND LET'S, LET'S JUMP INTO IT.

UM, AND I'M ALSO GONNA SEND YOU SOMETHING ELSE, WHICH, UH, WE'LL BE TAKING A LOOK AT HERE SHORTLY.

OKAY.

OKAY.

SO, UH, THERE'S THAT FIRST CHALLENGE STATEMENT.

YEAH.

SO THAT'S WHAT I WAS SUGGESTING IS THAT I COULD REMOVE ANY REFERENCE TO COVID-19 AND SAY CRITICAL SITUATION SUCH AS ACADEMICS, BECAUSE YOU COULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH, THERE WAS A HURRICANE THAT CAME BY, RIGHT.

SO IF YOU READ WHAT ROADS WERE COVERED, UH, BUT I DO APPRECIATE THE THOUGHTS ON EDIT.

SO I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU REMOVE COVID-19 AS A REFERENCING A BIG CRITICAL SITUATIONS SUCH AS PANDEMICS AND ARROGANCE.

OKAY.

[00:35:01]

SO IF YOU READ IT FUTURE CHALLENGES TO NORMAL VIA BOSTON SERVICE OPERATIONS, MAYBE, UH, UH, SHOULD WE PUT, UH, I DON'T WANT TO SPECIFY LIKE ACTS OF NATURE OR THINGS LIKE THAT AND GET THAT GRANULAR, BUT, UH, I'M FINE WITH REMOVING, BUT I DO WANT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT'S THE THOUGHT PROCESS.

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH LISTING COVID-19.

YEAH.

YUP.

SO I MADE THE FUSE.

YOU MAKE TEACHER CHALLENGES SUCH AS PANDEMICS.

UH, JUST TO CLARIFY TOO.

UH I'M I'M ASKING, UH, WHY NOT MENTION COVID-19 SPECIFICALLY? HELLO? YEAH.

YEAH.

OKAY.

THIS WOULD BE JUST TO MAKE IT MORE GENERIC.

IN OTHER WORDS, IN FACT, YOU DO GIVE HIM FUTURE, I'LL JUST SAY EXTREME CHALLENGES, EXTREME CHALLENGES, SUCH AS PANDEMICS.

OKAY.

AND SO, AND I MIGHT SUGGEST THAT IF YOU WERE LOOKING FOR ANOTHER WORD THAT COULD BE MORE GENERAL, THAT ALLUDES TO THE SAME, UM, THING, YOU COULD SAY SOMETHING DISRUPTIVE OR SOMETHING THAT DISRUPTS CLA SALES, OPERATIONS ENCOMPASSING, ANY TYPE OF THING THAT COULD HAPPEN, EVEN IF I LIKE THAT, TOO.

YEAH.

OKAY.

SO TO JUST JOIN BOTH THOUGHTS, YOU COMPLETELY APPROPRIATE TO KEEP THE WORDING WAS TWO PARTS IN 19 PANDEMIC, GIVE SOME REFERENCE POINT FROM WHERE WE ARE AS A COMMISSION IN WHAT'S MOTIVATING OUR CHANGES AS WELL AS ACTIONS.

THAT IS THE CATCHALL FOR ANYTHING ELSE I THINK WE CAN DO.

OKAY.

WELL, I'D LIKE TO GET SOME FEEDBACK ON, UH, WHY ANYONE THINKS WE SHOULD NOT NAME COVID-19 SPECIFICALLY.

OTHERWISE I'M GOING TO NAME IT.

OKAY.

OKAY.

GO AHEAD.

THANK YOU.

I DON'T THINK YOU NEED, I DON'T THINK I NEED EXTREME DISRUPTIONS.

OKAY.

SO LET ME, LET ME BACK UP A LITTLE BIT.

UH, SO THIS PROCESS IS WE CAN MANAGE THIS.

WE'VE DONE IT BEFORE, BUT AS THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR OFFERING THIS, THIS PLAN, I'M LESS CONCERNED ABOUT, UM, THE WORDING, UH, AND MORE CONCERNED ABOUT, UH, YOUR THOUGHTS AND THE REASON WHY WE'RE WORDING THINGS WHERE WE ARE.

RIGHT.

SO APPARENTLY COMMISSIONER, HE GETS A COMMISSION ENOUGH SCOOP TO BOTH FEEL STRONGLY ABOUT COVID-19 BEING LISTED HERE, ALTHOUGH NO ONE ELSE SEEMS TO FEEL THAT STRONGLY.

SO I'M ASKING YOU SPECIFICALLY WHY I SHOULD NOT LIST COVID-19 HERE, PLEASE EXPLAIN.

YEAH.

OKAY.

SO MY ONLY CONCERN WAS TO MAKE IT GENERIC.

SO IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER THAT MUCH TO BE SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED.

UH, YOU KNOW, I'M NOT, I THINK THE FOCUS SHOULD BE, WE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT IT AND TOMORROW I WOULD RATHER TALK ABOUT EXTREME DISRUPTIONS SUCH AS COVID-19 TODAY AND OKAY.

UH, DOES ANYBODY ELSE HAVE WE TALKED? CAUSE I'VE GOT SOME THOUGHTS.

I THINK THAT, UH, WHAT WOULD HE SAY BEFORE I JUST TALK OVER IT? THEY WANT TO SEND ME THOUGHTS? WELL, I WAS GOING TO SAY, I DON'T, I DON'T CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER, BUT I COULD SEE THAT ADDING A SPECIFIC TYPE OF EVENT COULD, UM, IN THE FUTURE THAT EVENT COULD BE A QUALIFIER.

YOU KNOW, THE, THE, THE EXTREMITIES OF THAT PARTICULAR EVENT ARE THE CIRCUMSTANCES ABOUT THAT EASILY COULD BE A QUALIFY FOR WHAT COULD BE CONSIDERED EXTREME DISRUPTIONS LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD.

SO ADDING SOMETHING SPECIFIC LIKE THIS KIND OF LIKE,

[00:40:01]

UH, UM, UM, IT ADDS A HISTORICAL CONTEXT TO THIS PARTICULAR DOCUMENT.

SO IT'S NOT AS GENERAL AS NOT AS, UM, YOU KNOW, SOMETHING THAT CAN BE USED FOR JUST ANYTHING LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD.

AND SO IF YOU TOOK COVID-19 OUT AND JUST USE A QUALIFYING, UM, AND DESCRIPTIVE AS A TABLET TYPE CLAUSE THAT ANYTHING COULD BE INCLUDED.

AND, AND, AND SO, BECAUSE SOMEBODY MIGHT SAY LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD, UM, IF, UM, IF THERE'S A FINANCIAL CRASH OR SOMETHING, WHICH, WHICH BECOMES, WHICH, WHICH CREATES AN EXTREME DISRUPTION, THEY MIGHT SAY, WELL, THIS IS A REALLY COUNT BECAUSE YOU PUT COVID-19 IN THERE AND WE DON'T CONSIDER THIS TO BE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS COVID-19.

SO I THINK THAT IF YOU WERE TO JUST USE THE DESCRIPTION RATHER THAN A PARTICULAR EVENT, AS A DESCRIPTION, THAT IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE BIT MORE GENERAL AND YOUR DOCUMENT MADE YOU STRONGER AND IT MAY BE ABLE TO BE USED THE WAY YOU WANT IT TO BE USED IN THE FUTURE.

YOU MAY NOT, IT MAY NOT LIMIT IT.

SO I LIKED THAT I WASN'T AS ELOQUENT, BUT WHAT I'M SUGGESTING IS EXACTLY WHAT SHE'S SAYING, EXTREME DESTRUCTIONS I'M OKAY WITH, YOU MENTIONED THE COVID-19, BUT COVID-19 NOT BE THE LEAD IN BECAUSE THEY'RE EXACTLY THE SAME.

OKAY.

THIS IS WHAT COVID-19 IS JUST A FINANCIAL DISASTER.

YOU COULD SAY EXTREME DISRUPTIONS SUCH AS COVID-19 TODAY.

OKAY.

SO, UH, THANK YOU.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF THAT.

I THINK THAT'S, UH, WELL, FIRST, IF YOU WANT TO SEND ME OTHER THOUGHTS.

OKAY.

SO WHAT I THINK, I THINK I AGREE WITH ALL OF YOU.

I THINK THAT, EXCUSE ME.

UM, I THINK THAT THE CHALLENGE WE HAVE IS, UH, FINDING A WAY TO, NOT TO AVOID A LITMUS TEST.

RIGHT.

BUT TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND WHEN I WROTE THIS, BUT I WAS THINKING ABOUT AS I'M SURE MANY OF YOU THOUGHT ABOUT, AND WE'VE TALKED ABOUT EVEN IS THE CLOSURES, RIGHT? WE HAVE ALL THESE PROGRAMS THAT WE FACILITATE, WE HELP TO, UH, ADMINISTER, UH, THAT WE WOULD MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR, BUT THEY'RE DEPENDENT UPON SERVICE DELIVERY, RIGHT.

THEY'RE DEPENDENT UPON LIBRARIES BEING OPEN THAT'S IN, UPON, UH, YOU KNOW, CITY PROPERTIES BEING OPEN, UH, YOU KNOW, DIFFERENT THINGS LIKE THAT, WHERE OUR ABILITY TO DELIVER IT'S HAMSTRUNG IF THE CITY'S NOT ABLE TO DELIVER.

RIGHT.

SO ULTIMATELY, UH, THE THOUGHT CLOSURE, RIGHT? UH, WHAT HAPPENED AND THAT'S ABOUT IT, ULTIMATELY, WHATEVER, IF ANYTHING CAUSES ONE OF OUR PROPERTIES TO CLOSE, THEN I CONSIDER THAT AN EXTREME DISRUPTION, WHEREVER THAT MAY BE.

UH, SO TO COMMISSIONER, UH, THOMSON BEAVERS POINT, UH, AND, UH, ABOUT, YOU KNOW, NOT PROVIDING LIP LITMUS TEST AND, UH, TO COMMISSION THAT SCOOP THIS POINT ABOUT NOT, YOU KNOW, MAYBE PROVIDING A REFERENCE, YOU KNOW, MAYBE IT MAKES SENSE TO NOT PROVIDE A REFERENCE AT ALL, YOU KNOW, JUST TO MAKE SURE IT'S NOT A LITMUS TEST.

UH, RIGHT.

AND MAYBE IT MAKES THE MOST SENSE JUST TO SAY EITHER EXTREME DISRUPTIONS OR EVEN LEAVE OUT EXTREME DISRUPTION AND JUST SAY, I DON'T KNOW, I'M ON THE FENCE ABOUT EXTREME DISRUPTIONS, BUT MAYBE IN FLIP, WE PUT EXAMPLE CLOSURE DUE TO PANDEMIC OR, OR DISCLOSURE, RIGHT.

DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCE.

HOW DOES THAT SOUND? SO HOW WOULD WE LET'S SEE CHALLENGES? I THINK THE WORD CHALLENGE IS I THINK THE WORD CHALLENGES, DISRUPTIONS TO NORMAL COE SERVICES, SERVICE OPERATIONS.

YEAH.

I AGREE.

OKAY.

YEAH.

I LOVE, I PERSONALLY LIKE THIS.

OKAY.

SO SOMEBODY READ THE REVISED STATEMENT AS IT IS NOW, SO THAT WE CAN AGREE ON, ALL RIGHT, HERE WE GO.

HOW CAN THE COMMISSION BEST SUPPORT, SUSTAIN COMMUNITY TECHNOLOGY AND INTERNET ACCESS FOR ALL RESIDENTS

[00:45:01]

MADE EXTREME DISRUPTIONS TO NORMAL.

SO YOU HAVE AUSTIN SERVICE OPERATIONS, AND I'M GOING TO CHANGE THIS FROM, FOR MCS TO SUCH AS LIBRARY SCHOOL OR CITY OF AUSTIN PROPERTY CLOSURES.

OH, I THINK YOU SHOULD MAKE IT A LIBRARY SCHOOLS AND SEE SCHOOLS, LIBRARIES, AND SCHOOLS INGESTING.

WE DON'T, WE DEFINITELY DON'T INCLUDE ALL THE PROPERTIES, MAKE THEM MAKE THEM FOR LIBRARIES, SCHOOLS, AND CYA PROPERTY.

OH, OKAY.

I SEE, I SEE YOU'RE SAYING LIBRARY CLOSURES, SCHOOL CLOSURES, URI PROPERTY.

RIGHT.

BUT THANKS FOR NOTICING TYPO.

OKAY, THEN YOU'RE RIGHT.

YOU WERE RIGHT.

I WAS WRONG.

THAT'S ALL RIGHT.

NO WORRIES.

UM, HOW DID THAT SOUND? EVERYBODY.

OKAY.

THAT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME.

YEAH.

JUST TAKE THE S OUT OF SCHOOL CLOSURES.

OKAY.

IT'S COOL.

THAT'S COOL.

YOU WERE ORIGINALLY, UH, YEAH, I'M JUST ON AUTOPILOT NOW.

UH, TRYING TO KEEP THIS THING MOVING, SO, OKAY.

UH, I LIKED IT.

OKAY.

UH, ONTO THE NEXT STATEMENT.

AND THIS IS SOMETHING TO KEEP IN MIND HERE.

AND THIS IS THE REASON WHY WE NEED THREE HOURS FOR THIS SIX TIME.

THE NUMBER TWO, WHICH IS NUMBER TWO NOW, WHICH IS NUMBER ONE BEFORE YOU ADD ABOUT EXTENDING IT BEYOND THE DOWNTOWN AREA.

NUMBER ONE, THE NUMBER ONE.

I, I HAVE YOUR EDITS.

I HAVE YOUR EDITS.

YEAH.

I, YOU KNOW, YOU'VE SAID IT, NUMBER ONE, WHAT I WAS ACTUALLY TRYING TO NUMBER TWO, BUT IF YOU ADD WHAT, WHATEVER THIS ACTUALLY SUPPORTS, NUMBER ONE.

OKAY.

SO AS WE TRANSITION TO, UH, THIS NEXT PHASE HERE, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED INADVERTENTLY, UH, AND THIS PROCESS, I WANNA EXPLAIN POLITICS.

OF COURSE, ONE OF THE THINGS THAT HAPPENED IN BURTON LANE, UH, IN THIS PROCESS WAS THAT, UH, THE TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND INNOVATION WORKING GROUP WERE THE ONLY ONES WHO WERE SENT THE CHALLENGE QUESTIONS.

AND THAT JUST HAPPENED BECAUSE THEY WERE RIGHT ABOVE YOUR LIST OF PRIORITIES FOR YOUR WORKING GROUP.

RIGHT.

SO OF COURSE, YOU KNOW, EVERYONE'S INPUT IS APPRECIATED.

UH, HOWEVER, THE SAME OPPORTUNITY FOR INPUT ON CHALLENGE STATEMENT STATEMENTS WAS NOT EXTENDED TO THE WHOLE COMMISSION.

UM, SO I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT, UH, THAT, UH, COMMISSIONED A GROUP TO, UH, JUMP AT THE OPPORTUNITY, BUT, BUT TO BE FAIR AND I DIDN'T WANT TO ACCEPT IT.

RIGHT.

THAT'S OKAY.

YOU KNOW, YOU DIDN'T KNOW, BUT I'M SAYING THAT NOW, BECAUSE I DO WANT TO GIVE EVERYONE A CHANCE TO THINK ABOUT THAT.

YOU KNOW, WE HAVE THESE CHILD STATEMENTS, WHICH ARE INFORMED FROM PREVIOUS COMMISSIONS, MYSELF AND THIS CURRENT BODY, BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT FOR THE NEW COMMISSIONERS, YOU MAY, MAYBE HADN'T HAD A CHANCE, RIGHT? SO SPECIFICALLY COMMISSIONER THOMPSON, BEAVERS, AND COMMISSIONER.RO.

I REALLY WANT TO ENCOURAGE YOU TO THINK ABOUT OUR CHANNEL STATEMENTS AND, AND WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANT ONE, OR, YOU KNOW, IMAGINE US ENTERTAINING ONE THAT IS NOT LISTED.

UM, AND THAT'S SOMETHING WHICH AT THE VERY LEAST WE BROUGHT UP IN THE WORKING GROUP SESSIONS BEFORE THE NEXT MEETING, OR RIGHT NOW, IF YOU WANT TO SHARE ANY THOUGHTS YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW ABOUT WHAT OUR CHALLENGE STATEMENTS SHOULD BE, OR QUESTIONS SHOULD BE, AND PLEASE FEEL FREE.

AND THIS IS JUST FOR THOSE NEW COMMISSIONERS

[00:50:01]

WHO HAVEN'T WEIGHED IN YET.

I THINK FOR MYSELF, I THINK FOR MYSELF, THE FOOD THAT I SEE, UM, MOST, UM, AT THE FOREFRONT OF, YOU KNOW, CITIZEN, THE BOSTON, MINE ARE DEFINITELY, UM, ACCESS AND TRANSPARENCY AT THE MOMENT, OPEN ACCESS TO DATA, ACCESS INFRASTRUCTURE, UM, AND, AND DIFFERENT NEEDS.

I DEFINITELY THINK THAT WE NEED THE FIRST POINT BEING FOR SOME, UH, CHALLENGE STATEMENT BEING MOVED TO THE TOP IS, IS COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE.

UM, I THINK FOR OUR COMMISSION, UM, AMIDST, YOU KNOW, UH, EVERYTHING HAD TUNNELS, I WOULD PUT CHALLENGE STATEMENTS TO ABOUT AND, OR OPEN DATA, UH, AND EQUITABLE ACCESS TO SERVICES ABOVE ANY NEW TECHNOLOGIES COMING TO THE CITY.

UH, PERSONALLY.

THAT'S GREAT FEEDBACK.

THANK YOU.

REALLY APPRECIATE THAT.

UH, COMMISSIONER THOMPSON, BEAVERS, WOULD YOU LIKE TO WEIGH IN ON THAT? WELL, I AGREE WITH THE LAST STATEMENT THAT SHE MADE AND I'M REALLY CONCERNED AT THIS POINT ABOUT, UM, FOCUSING ON ACCESS TO INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE EXTREMELY EXCLUDED IN THE BEGINNING, BECAUSE NOW DEPENDENT HAS THE PANDEMIC.

THIS PARTICULAR DISRUPTIVE EVENT HAS REALLY CAUSED, UM, A LOT OF DIFFICULTY.

SO I'M REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT, YOU KNOW, LIKE FAMILIES I'M, ESPECIALLY WHERE, IF ANY, ESPECIALLY NOT KNOWING WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN WITH SCHOOLS OPENING INTO FALL.

UM, I THINK THAT IT'S REALLY, UM, IT'S REALLY, REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT THAT WE DO WHATEVER WE CAN DO FOR THESE FAMILIES TO BE ABLE TO HAVE ACCESS FOR THEIR CHILDREN, IF THEY'RE GOING TO HAVE TO BE AT HOME, UM, UM, UM, YOU KNOW, DOING SCHOOL, HAVING SCHOOL.

AND SO, UM, I'M JUST REALLY, I'M JUST REALLY, I DON'T KNOW, YOU KNOW, I'M STILL LEARNING SO MUCH, YOU KNOW, I KNOW THAT THAT'S NOT AN EXCUSE, BUT I'M STILL LEARNING SO MUCH.

I THINK THAT'S WHY I'M SO QUIET.

I GUESS I FEEL LIKE I'M NOT AS A STUDENT AS ALL THE REST OF YOU ARE, BUT, UM, BUT, UM, THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT I'M REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT IS, IS, IS IT'S NOT JUST ACCESS, BUT THE QUALITY OF THE ACCESS, THE AFFORDABILITY OF THE EXCESS, UM, UM, IF PEOPLE DON'T HAVE ACCESS IN THEIR HOMES, IF THERE ARE PLACES THAT WE CAN, THAT, THAT, THAT THE CITY CAN SET UP WHERE PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET, UH, AND NOT JUST TO GET ON THE INTERNET, BUT TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TOOLS AND, AND, AND TO HAVE EQUIPMENT AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.

AND SO TO ME, YOU KNOW, ALL THESE OTHER THINGS THAT WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT ALL YEAR ARE REALLY GREAT.

UM, BUT TO ME, IT'S ALMOST LIKE AT THIS POINT, WE NEED TO GO BACK TO THE BASICS AND THOSE ARE THE, THAT I THINK SHOULD TAKE PRECEDENT OVER ANYTHING ELSE, JUST GO BACK TO THE BASICS, YOU KNOW, ARE, ARE THERE OPTIONS TO, UM, INTERNET ACCESS, YOU KNOW, NOT THAT MANY HERE AT AUSTIN, RIGHT.

AND WHEN YOU'RE LOOKING AT AFFORDABILITY AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE, UM, THERE'S JUST SO MANY OTHER CHALLENGES THAT I THINK THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO, UM, ARE INVOLVED IN THE TECHNOLOGY WORLD, I THINK THAT SOME OF THOSE BASIC FUNDAMENTAL CHALLENGES, I THINK THEY GET LOST IN THESE CONVERSATIONS.

AND SO, UM, THAT'S, THAT'S SOMETHING THAT'S ONE OF MY MIND WHEN I THINK ABOUT THE COMMUNITY AND I THINK ABOUT CHALLENGES, UM, THAT, THAT WE, AS A COMMISSION COULD IMPACT, YOU KNOW, IF WE WERE ADDRESSING, THANK YOU FOR THAT.

I REALLY APPRECIATE THAT.

AND I AGREE.

I AGREE WITH BOTH OF YOU.

UM, AND BEFORE I SHARE ANY MORE, MY THOUGHTS, IT JUST BECAUSE HE'S BEEN QUIET FOR A WHILE, I'D LIKE TO GIVE A COMMISSIONER FLOYD A CHANCE TO WIN, UH, NOW AS WELL, BUT HE'S NOT A NEW COMMISSIONER.

HE JUST GOT A LITTLE QUIET TODAY.

SORRY.

I WAS WRITING DOWN SOMETHING ABOUT SMART CITIES ACTUALLY.

UM, I WOULD, I WOULD AGREE WITH WHAT SEAN WAS SAYING ABOUT ACCESS AND ESPECIALLY NOW WITH PANDEMIC AND THE FACT THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE RELYING ON DIGITAL MEANS TO BASICALLY CONDUCT THEIR DAY TO DAY BUSINESS.

UM, CAN I SAY SOMETHING ABOUT SMART CITIES?

[00:55:03]

YOU SAID YOU WERE WORKING ON SOMETHING OUTSIDE AND SOMETHING ABOUT SMART CITIES.

YEAH, I WAS, I WAS WRITING SOMETHING ABOUT, YEAH, IT'S JUST, I MEAN, MY THING WITH THAT WOULD BE, UM, PRIVACY IMPLICATIONS, THINGS THAT WE'RE CONSIDERING NEEDS TO BE SMART CITIES.

THAT WOULD BE MY ONE EDIT FOR THIS.

UM, JUST GENERALLY I HAD A QUESTION LIKE WHERE, LIKE WITH APDS USE OF TECHNOLOGY, WHERE DOES THAT FIT UNDER PUBLIC SAFETY AND WHERE DOES THAT FIT UNDER SOMETHING WE CAN LOOK INTO? AND I'M THINKING OF LIKE FACIAL RECOGNITION OR ALGORITHMIC PREDICTIVE ALGORITHMS TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHERE TO DO LAW ENFORCEMENT.

I DON'T KNOW IF ANYBODY DOES THAT.

WE'VE NEVER REALLY LOOKED INTO IT AND SEEING IF THEY'VE HAD THOUGHTS ON USING THAT KIND OF STUFF ALSO, LIKE, DO THEY WORK WITH RING TO COLLECT INFORMATION ON A PRETTY GOOD EVIDENCE WHEN THERE WAS LIKE A ROBBERY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD? THERE'S A BUNCH OF STUFF LIKE ON THE FOREFRONT OF CONSUMER TECHNOLOGY THAT'S BEING USED BY THE POLICE.

AND WE NEVER REALLY TALKED ABOUT THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING I'D BE INTERESTED IN LOOKING INTO LATER THIS YEAR.

YEAH.

YEAH.

I THINK THAT'S A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF A FUTURE AGENDA ITEM WE NEED FOR PRESENTATION, UM, FROM APB, I THINK A FOLLOW UP ON VIDEO PROCESSING AND THEN, UH, ADDRESSING THE SPECIFICS OF FACE REC FACIAL RECOGNITION AND, AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES THAT ARE VERY RELEVANT RIGHT NOW WITH ISSUES WE'RE DEALING WITH.

UM, YEAH.

OKAY.

YEAH.

I GOT A LITTLE OFF TOPIC.

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THAT.

SO I THINK THAT'S A LEGITIMATE, TRADITIONAL IDEAL STATEMENT AROUND, UH, AROUND HIM, CYBER SECURITY AND PRIVACY, BUT IT'S SPECIFIC RELATION TO, YEAH.

I FALL UNDER OUR THIRD START WITH REPEAT THAT.

WE MAKE THAT A BULLET CHALLENGE STATEMENT.

WE CAN ALSO HOLD OUT.

OH, IT WAS TOUGH TO HEAR YOU THERE.

UM, YOU REPEAT THAT, PLEASE, FOR SURE.

WOULD THAT FALL UNDER OUR THIRD CHALLENGE STATEMENT? BOTH CONDITIONER AND I THINK GOT TO USE LIKE HEADPHONES SO THAT FEEDBACK OR USING EARBUDS.

YEAH.

YEAH.

WELL, WE'LL DO OUR, DO OUR BEST TO MATCH HERE FOR NOW.

WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME LEFT Y'ALL UM, BUT I THINK I HEARD YOU SAY MR. GUIRO THAT YOU'RE ASKING IF IT COULD BE A THIRD, IF IT'S COVERED BY THE THIRD QUESTION OR IF IT COULD BE A THIRD QUESTION, IS THAT RIGHT? YES.

THE PRIOR OKAY.

IF IT'S COVERED.

YES.

WELL, SO, YOU KNOW, IT'S A VERY GOOD POINT.

UH, I THINK TO AN EXTENT IT IS, UM, AND THE THIRD QUESTION IS HOW MIGHT THE COMMISSION ACCOMMODATES CITIZEN OVERSIGHT AND INSIGHT SHARING FOR CITY OF AUSTIN SMART CITY OPEN GOVERNMENT EFFORTS? AND, UH, YEAH, I WOULD SAY THAT IT'S ACTUALLY COVERED IN THAT.

UM, SURE.

YES.

UH, JUST THAT I'M ON THE SAME PAGE.

IT SAYS, HOW MUCH DOES IT PROVIDE CITIZEN OVERSIGHT AND INSIGHT TO SMART CITY? SO I WOULD RECOMMEND TWO SEPARATE CHALLENGES.

LET ME INTERRUPT YOU, PLEASE.

PLEASE LET ME INTERRUPT YOU.

UH, SO YOU NEED TO LOOK AT THE VERSION WHICH JOHN SHARED THAT HAS MY DOCUMENT.

IT HAS, RIGHT.

SO DON'T LOOK AT YOURS BECAUSE I MADE SOME EDITS THERE AND WERE READING OFF OF THE MOST RECENT ONE.

OKAY.

LET ME SEE THAT.

AND THE QUESTION READS, HOW MIGHT THE COMMISSION ACCOMMODATE CITIZEN OVERSIGHT

[01:00:01]

AND INSIGHT SHARING FOR THE CITY OF BOSTON SMART CITY AND OPEN GOVERNMENT EFFORTS? OKAY.

THAT'S, YOU KNOW, IT IS NOT QUITE, YOU KNOW, IT'S APPROXIMATELY THE SAME.

AND I WOULD SUGGEST THAT WE SEPARATED THE TWO CHALLENGES BECAUSE IT'S SMART CITY AND OPEN GOVERNMENT AND NOT NECESSARILY, I MEAN, THEY'RE LOOSELY CONNECTED THINGS.

WHAT WE ARE JUST TALKING ABOUT IS ABOUT, UH, YOU KNOW, ESSENTIALLY POSTAL IDENTIFICATION TECHNOLOGIES, UH, AND YOU KNOW, THEY ARE ET CETERA.

IT HAS TO DO WITH SMART CITY.

BUT IF YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, I DON'T KNOW, OFFICIAL RECOGNITION, ET CETERA, IT IS NOT QUITE THE SAME AS SMART CITY.

OKAY.

SO I WOULD SUGGEST THAT WE SEPARATE IT OUT AND BLESS HER TECHNOLOGY SHOULD BE A CHALLENGE UNTO ITSELF THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TO GO OVERBOARD AND CREATE SITUATIONS OF THREAT TO HUMAN LIFE.

SO I RECOMMEND TO SEPARATE THE TWO GROUPS.

I COULD SEE SOME REAL VALUE IN THAT.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THAT COMMISSIONER? GUIRO OKAY, SURE.

NO HARM IN SEPARATING.

WELL, THAT SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN THEN, UNLESS ANYONE HAS ANY STRONG OBJECTIONS, I'LL GO AHEAD AND DO THAT.

UM, OKAY.

NOW WITH THE, WE HAVE 12 MINUTES HERE.

YEAH.

WE HAVE 12 MINUTES.

OKAY.

SO, UH, HOW, HOW MIGHT THE COMMISSION WORK WITH OTHER COMMISSIONS AND ACROSS ALL CITY DEPARTMENTS IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES FOR COLLABORATION.

AND, UH, THAT'S THE CHALLENGE STATEMENT FROM LAST YEAR THAT WE EMBRACED WITH, UH, PURSUING A STAKEHOLDER'S SUMMIT AND THEN THEY BOUGHT IN HER PLANS ON THAT EFFORT.

THAT'S PRETTY STRAIGHTFORWARD.

I DON'T THINK IT'S ANYTHING VERY MUCH DISCUSSION NECESSARILY ABOUT THAT, UNLESS ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS.

YES.

MY QUESTION IS WHO IS THAT? RIGHT? GOOD QUESTION.

SO, UH, YOU KNOW, WHEN IT COMES TO COLLABORATION, UH, IT'S CLEARLY VERY INTERSECTIONAL, UM, BECAUSE WE CAN COLLABORATE FROM EVERY WORKING GROUP, UH, AND OFTEN WITH A VARIETY OF DEPARTMENTS TO DO THAT.

THE CHALLENGE THOUGH, IS THAT, UH, WELL, I GUESS MAYBE THE DISTINCTION OF THE DIGITAL INCLUSION AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, STRATEGIC POLICY IMPACT WORKING GROUP IS THAT AS A WORKING GROUP IT'S POLICY.

OKAY.

AND THE MOTIVATING FACTOR BEHIND THIS COLLABORATION WAS TO GET AHEAD OF POLICY AND, OR TO HELP TO SHAPE POLICY, TO IMPACT POLICY.

SO IT'S THE KIND OF THING, FRANKLY, THAT, YOU KNOW, AGAIN, WILL NATURALLY OCCUR IN EVERY WORKING GROUP.

BUT THE IDEA IS THAT THIS PARTICULAR WORKING GROUP WOULD BE FOCUSED ON, UH, TRYING TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER FOR AN EVENT.

RIGHT.

SO THAT'S THE FORMAL COLLABORATION PIECE, I GUESS IT'S THE ONLY PIECE THAT IS FOCUSED ON ONE WORKING GROUP, WHEREAS COLLABORATION TAKES PLACE WITH ALL OF THEM.

DOES THAT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION? YES.

I THINK THAT THE INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP IS ALREADY PURSUING, LOOKING AT PUBLIC WORKS SEVERAL OTHER DEPARTMENTS, YOU KNOW, THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ABOUT THAT.

RIGHT.

SO, UH, THAT'S A VERY GOOD POINT.

UH, SO THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION REALLY IS, IS OPERATIONS.

IT'S A, IT'S AN ONGOING CHALLENGE STATEMENT, RIGHT? AND THE TECHNOLOGY, UH, INFRASTRUCTURE INNOVATION WORKING GROUP HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THIS, EVEN ACROSS CITIES, NOT JUST EVEN ACROSS DEPARTMENTS.

RIGHT.

UH, SO I THINK THE WORKING GROUPS ESSENTIALLY SHOULD BE PURSUING

[01:05:01]

THIS WELL.

YEAH.

YEAH.

IT JUST, I'M WHAT I'M SAYING IS, UH, I REALIZED THAT, UH, ALL WORKING GROUPS DO FOR SOUP PURSUE THIS GOAL, AS I SAID EARLIER, BUT BEYOND THAT, IT'S REALLY, UH, YOU KNOW, PLANNING OF AN EVENT THAT THE, THE, UH, POLICY IMPACT WORKING GROUP IS UNIQUELY FOCUSED ON.

SO, UH, I GUESS THE BEST WAY TO PUT IT IS HERE, THERE DOESN'T NEED TO BE AN ANSWER BY THE WAY.

SO THIS SOUNDLESS STATEMENT, IT'S JUST AN ONGOING CHALLENGE STATEMENT.

SO I DON'T REALLY WANT TO GET BOGGED DOWN IN THAT, WITH THAT.

UH, BUT THANK YOU FOR CLARIFYING THOUGH, THAT ALL WORKING GROUPS ARE FOCUSED ON THAT.

SO I'M GOING TO REMOVE A WORKING GROUP REFERENCE THERE, IF ANYTHING, IT'LL JUST BE SOMETHING THAT WE ALL DO.

AND IT'S OBVIOUSLY WE ALL DO THAT.

SO SEVEN MINUTES LEFT, HOW MIGHT WE USE TECHNOLOGY TO PROMOTE SOME FRUSTRATION, TRANSPARENCY, OPEN DATA, AND THAT PEOPLE ACCESS TO SERVICES.

YEAH.

THEY KNOW WHAT YOU LOOK AT.

UH, I DON'T SEE ANY RED ON THAT ONE.

UH, HOW AM I, LET'S SEE, THERE'S A NUMBER OF TECHNOLOGY TO PROMOTE CIVIC PARTICIPATION, TRANSPARENCY, OPEN DATA BARRIERS, INCLUDING POSSIBLY PROVIDING CITY INCENTIVES TO CARRIERS TO DEVELOP MORE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO SERVICES BY CITIZEN.

OKAY.

OKAY.

YEAH, MY, MY APOLOGIES.

I WAS LOOKING AT THE WRONG DOCUMENT THERE.

SO THIS RELATES TO OUR LAST WORKING GROUP DISCUSSION ABOUT INCENTIVES.

RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT.

UM, OKAY.

SO I THINK IT'S IMPORTANT TO DELVE INTO THAT A LITTLE BIT.

UH, RIGHT.

SO DURING OUR LAST WORKING GROUP SESSION, UH, WITH TECHNOLOGY INFRASTRUCTURE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION WORKING GROUP, UH, WHICH INCLUDED JOHN SPEARS, UM, AND RADILLA HAWKINS, WE STARTED TO DISCUSS THE WAY THAT WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO, UH, THE POSSIBILITY OF, OF INCENTIVIZING CARRIERS.

UM, AND WHAT I APPRECIATE IT.

WE IMMEDIATELY STARTED DOING IT FIRST AND I SCOOPED IT UP, TOOK LEADERSHIP ON WAS HOW WE MIGHT BE ABLE, YOU KNOW, WHAT KIND OF INCENTIVES WE COULD USE, HOW WE COULD LEVERAGE THOSE INCENTIVES TO ACCOMPLISH OUR OBJECTIVES AROUND EQUITABLE ACCESS.

UM, YOU KNOW, OTHER THINGS AS WELL, WHAT WE BEGUN TO DO BASICALLY IS TO START TO FORMALLY LOOK AT WHAT WE CAN DO AND WHAT OUR OPTIONS ARE.

AND I THINK IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN, YOUR INTENT WAS TO, TO POSITION THAT AS A CHALLENGE TO THE WHOLE COMMISSION.

IS THAT FAIR? YES, ABSOLUTELY.

YES.

IT BRINGS THE POWER TO BEAR.

RIGHT.

RIGHT.

UM, AND WITH, UH, WITH THAT IN MIND, YOU KNOW, MY ONLY MY SUGGESTION IS YOU DON'T ADD THAT IN.

WELL, I'VE GOT THE HAMAS, I'VE GOT YOUR, YOUR OTHER, UH, PARAGRAPH HERE, SO I'LL JUST COPY AND PASTE IT.

YEAH.

COPY AND PASTE IT A LITTLE BIT MORE.

YOU SHOULD LOOK AT IT AND LOOK AT IT AS WELL.

AND ALL THE OTHER COMMISSIONERS HERE, THERE YOU GO.

NOW, WHAT I'M GOING TO BE LOOKING TO DO IS TO TRY TO STREAMLINE, YOU KNOW, A LITTLE BIT, UM, COMMISSIONER GUIRO, YOU KNOW, INTIMATED THAT THERE MAY BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THAT.

UM, CAUSE WE DON'T WANT TO HAVE REDUNDANT, UH, OR CONVOLUTED QUESTIONS THAT ANSWERED THE SAME, YOU KNOW, THEY'RE BASICALLY THE SAME.

YEP.

NO PROBLEM.

BUT THAT'S GOOD.

I LIKE THAT.

UM, NOW WITH FOUR MINUTES LEFT, WHY DON'T WE DO THIS? UH, I SUGGEST YOU HAVE A SPECIALLY CALLED MEETING IN TWO WEEKS

[01:10:01]

TO DISCUSS IT FURTHER.

YEAH.

THAT'S A GREAT SUGGESTION.

UH, I WAS THINKING ALONG THOSE LINES TOO.

UM, I'D LIKE TO GO AHEAD AND PULL THE OTHER COMMISSIONERS FOR CONSENSUS, UH, AND AVAILABILITY, HOW Y'ALL FEEL ABOUT HAVING A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS HERE.

IF WE, IF, AND THIS IS KEY, IF WE CAN GET A SLOT.

OKAY.

I THINK WE NEED TO HAVE THIS UPDATED DOCUMENT SENT OUT TO EVERYONE SO THAT EVERYONE IS PREPARED AND THAT WE COULD JUST JUMP IN IMMEDIATELY AND GET THIS DONE.

YES.

I CONCUR.

I CONCUR.

UH, ANYONE ELSE THAT WE HAVEN'T HEARD FROM TODAY OR THAT, UH, LET'S SEE.

DOES ANYONE ELSE? OKAY.

COMMISSIONER COMMISSIONER, UM, THOMSON BEAVERS.

HOW DO Y'ALL FEEL ABOUT TRYING TO DO A SPECIAL CALL MEETING IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS? UH, PREDICATED UPON EVERYONE PROVIDING THEIR AND UH, YOU KNOW, REALLY HITTING THE GROUND RUNNING FOR ME.

THAT SOUND GOOD.

ESPECIALLY IF IT'S EQUALS B IN THIS TIME SLOT.

OKAY.

SO THIS IS A GOOD TIMEFRAME FOR YOU.

YES.

OKAY.

SO NOW WE'RE, NOW WE'RE GETTING SCHEDULING WORKED OUT.

SO HOW DOES TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY AT 3:00 PM WORK FOR EVERYBODY ELSE THAT WORKS FOR ME? UH, TODAY BEING THE 22 WEEKS YOU HAVE 24TH? UH, WELL, YEAH, I DON'T KNOW THAT JOHN WANTS TO EMBRACE, UH, JESSE'S RESPONSIBILITIES IN TOTAL, BUT YET THE CHALLENGE FOR JOHN AND OR DEPUTY MASON.

CAN I CONFIRM THE DATE? YEAH, THE 24TH IS WHEN WE'RE LOOKING AT OKAY.

WE'LL CIRCLE BACK WITH, UH, INFORMATION ABOUT THAT REQUEST.

HI, THANK YOU SO MUCH, SEAN CHAIR.

THIS IS STEPHANIE.

THIS IS STEPHANIE AT CITY HALL.

ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT A SPECIAL CALLED ON JULY 24TH? IS THAT WHAT I CAUGHT? OKAY.

I GUESS JOHN'S GOING TO SEND ME AN EMAIL ABOUT THAT.

I, I THINK WE COULD PROBABLY MAKE THAT WORK, BUT I JUST WANT IT TO COME FROM SONIA WAS HAPPENING.

THANK YOU.

WHEN IT COMES TOGETHER, THIS IS AWESOME.

WE TRY, WE TRY.

I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

ONE OTHER SUGGESTION I'D LIKE TO MAKE.

YEAH, LET ME, LET ME ADDRESS THAT.

BECAUSE LAST YEAR YOU GUYS ARE RECALL.

I PROVIDED THE PRINTOUT, THAT PRINTOUT, UH, WAS A LIST OF WHAT WE DID AND, AND IT WAS SPLITTED AND IT WAS DIFFERENT.

IT DIDN'T INCLUDE AGENDA ITEMS. IT DIDN'T INCLUDE, UH, YOU KNOW, CONVERSATIONS AND UNTIL YOU'RE RIGHT, IT'S A LITTLE CONVOLUTED.

SO I'M GOING TO COMMIT TO SEPARATING THOSE TWO OUTS, WHICH HELPED HOPEFULLY SOME STAFF.

UM, AND, AND THEN IF YOU CAN CONFIRM FOR US THAT WE'LL BE GOOD TO GO IN TWO WEEKS.

SO WITH THAT BEING SAID, I KNOW THAT WE ARE, UH, OVER TIME.

UM, THEY'RE DOING A FUNDRAISER FOR HIS SISTER.

SO, UH, KANSAS, I SAID, I'D LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR MAKING THIS TIME TODAY.

UH, IF BARBECUE PLATES, I HAVE TO ENTERTAIN A MOTION FOR ADJOURNMENT, UH, JUST BECAUSE WE'RE MAXED OUT ON TIME, MORE TIME.

I MOVED TO ADJOURN.

I SECOND.

OKAY.

I'VE GOT A MOTION TO ADJOURN.

SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER DIETZ.

UH, WE'RE NOT GOING TO DO A VOTE ALL IN FAVOR OF ADJOURNMENT, PLEASE SAY, AYE.

UH, WE ARE NOW .
