UM, HERE YOU CAN SEE OUR, UH, UPDATED COMBINED STORAGE OF LAKES, BUCHANAN AND TRAVIS, JANUARY 1ST, 2005 THROUGH MARCH 1ST, 2022.

UH, THE LAKES ARE CURRENTLY AROUND A LITTLE BELOW 1.6 MILLION ACRE FEET OF COMBINED STORAGE.

YOU CAN MOVE TO THE NEXT SLIDE.

WE'VE GOT AN UPDATED CHART HERE SHOWING HIGHLAND LAKES INFLOWS.

THE GREEN BARS ARE 2022 NUMBERS.

WE HAVE JANUARY AND FEBRUARY POPULATED HERE.

UH, THE GOLD IS 2021.

SO WE'RE STARTING THE YEAR OFF A LITTLE BIT LOWER THAN WE WERE LAST YEAR IN 2021 AND LOWER THAN OUR AVERAGES FROM 1942 TO PRESENT ARE 2008 TO 2015.

WE'LL BE TRACKING THOSE INFLOWS OVER THE COMING MONTHS.

THIS IS A MAP THAT'S PUT TOGETHER BY THE US DROUGHT MONITOR, BUT IT DOES HAVE SOME LANGUAGE THAT'S WRITTEN BY TW DB STAFF, JUST, UM, KIND OF SHARING HOW WE'VE GOTTEN TO SEE SOME MORE SEVERE DROUGHT CONDITIONS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF TEXAS.

NOTABLY EXCEPTIONAL DROUGHT HAS RETURNED TO THE STATE FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE JUNE, 2021.

WE HERE IN CENTRAL TEXAS HAVE NOT BEEN AS AFFECTED BY THE DROUGHT.

AND OF COURSE THIS IS A WEEKLY UPDATE.

UM, HOWEVER, IF WE MOVE ON TO THE NEXT SLIDE, I BELIEVE, UH, WELL, IT'S ACTUALLY A COUPLE OF SLIDES DOWN, BUT IF YOU MOVE ON TO THE NEXT CYCLE, I SHOULD HAVE REARRANGED THOSE MYSELF.

BUT, UM, IF WE LOOK THE NOAA THREE MONTH OUTLOOK, WE ARE, UM, LOOKING AT POTENTIALLY HAVING BELOW AVERAGE PRECIPITATION, AS WELL AS ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES FOR THE NEXT THREE MONTHS.

SO WE WILL BE WATCHING TO SEE HOW, UH, TEMPERATURE AND PRECEPT PROCEED AND HOW THAT IS GOING TO IMPACT OUR COMBINED STORAGE LEVELS.

UH, THIS IS OUR, UM, LAKE LEVELS FORECAST THAT WE GET FROM THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY.

UM, THIS IS DATA TO MARCH 1ST, 2022, BUT YOU CAN JUST KIND OF SEE THE POTENTIAL PATHWAYS, UM, FOR COMBINED STORAGE.

UM, IF WE MOVE OUT AS WE MOVE OUT TOWARDS THE FALL OF 2022, UM, IF WE'RE LOOKING AT MEDIAN CONDITIONS AROUND THE 50TH PERCENTILE, UM, THERE'S A FAIRLY GOOD CHANCE THAT WE'LL BE LOOKING AT POSSIBLE STAGE ONE DROUGHT, UH, RESTRICTIONS MORE TOWARDS THE END OF THE SUMMER.

UM, THOSE DROUGHT RESTRICTIONS THAT STAGE ONE DROUGHT RESTRICTIONS WOULD REALLY BE A LIMITATION ON THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT YOU HAVE AVAILABLE TO WATER.

AND THEN THERE ARE SOME ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS ON HOSE AND WATERING.

UM, WE'RE CURRENTLY IN JUST KIND OF THE CONSERVATION STAGE RESTRICTIONS THAT WE ARE IN ALL OF THE TIME.

UM MERISSA AND WHEN WE GO INTO DROUGHT, ONE, TWO, IS THERE, UM, A RAMP UP AND, UM, ENFORCEMENT ON OUTDOOR WATERING? YEAH, SO OUR CONSERVATION DIVISION WOULD BE GOING OUT AND DOING MORE PATROLS AND, UM, THEY WOULD BE, UM, ISSUING ANY, ANY SORT OF, UH, WARNINGS OR CITATIONS AS, AS THEY'RE DOING THAT.

SOME OF THE KEY INFORMATION THAT'S INCLUDED IN THAT REPORT IS REPORTED IN CALENDAR YEAR, RATHER THAN FISCAL YEAR.

SOME OF THE CALENDAR YEAR INFORMATION IS STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT.

UM, AND WE'RE HOPING THAT THAT WILL BE, UH, UH, FINALIZED WITHIN THE COMING MONTH OR SO.

THE FOCUS OF THIS ORDINANCE IS ON NEW SINGLE FAMILY.

RESIDENTIAL BUILDS, UM, THIS IMPLEMENTS, WHAT WAS PREVIOUSLY CALLED THE LANDSCAPE TRANSFORMATION ORDINANCE WITHIN THE WATERFORD PLAN.

SINCE NOVEMBER, OUR STAFF HAS ENGAGED A VARIETY OF INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS.

THEY'VE HAD SOME, UH, LOWER TURNOUT THAN EXPECTED AT INITIAL STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS, BUT THEY'RE GOING TO BE DOING SOME WORK TO MAKE PHONE CALLS AND PERSONALIZED OUTREACH TO ORGANIZATIONS WHO HAVEN'T YET PARTICIPATED WITHIN THOSE MEETINGS.

UM, THEY'RE ALSO GOING TO BE REACHING OUT TO RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS FOR MORE FOCUSED DISCUSSIONS.

THEY HAVE HAD VIRTUAL COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.

THERE'LL BE PLANNING ADDITIONAL IN-PERSON OUTREACH OPTIONS IN THE FUTURE.

OUR GUIDING PRINCIPLE INCLUDES, UH, IT WOULD BE TO INCLUDE DIVERSE WATER MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES THAT MAKE USE OF ALL WATER SOURCES, INCLUDING REUSE CONSERVATION AND EFFICIENCY.

OUR OBJECTIVE WOULD BE TO CONTINUE AUSTIN'S FOCUS ON WATER CONSERVATION AND WATER USE EFFICIENCY.

AND OUR PERFORMANCE MEASURES WOULD INCLUDE OUR POTABLE GALLON PER CAPITA, PER DAY METRIC, AS WELL AS A PORTFOLIO DIVERSITY SCORE THE PORTFOLIO DIVERSITY SCORE, SOMETHING THAT WILL BE NEW FOR WATER FOR 2024, AND WOULD MEASURE, UM, HOW DIVERSE OUR PORTFOLIOS OF STRATEGIES ARE.

WE'RE THINKING THAT THIS IS REALLY AN ANALYSIS TOOL THAT PROVIDES A LOT OF DATA AND INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCATION OF, OF DIFFERENT COMMUNITIES, INCOME, RACE, GENDER, AGE, ET CETERA.

AND IT HELPS US TO ASSESS KIND OF THE IMPACTS THAT OUR DIFFERENT WATER MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES COULD HAVE ON, UM, ON COMMUNITIES.

UH, SO THAT'S KIND OF WHAT WE'RE REFERRING TO.

WHEN WE SAY A TOOL, THERE COULD ALSO BE SOME METRICS THAT WE'RE PARTICULARLY FOCUSING ON.

I THINK THE KEY, UM, EVALUATION IS GOING TO BE AT THE PORTFOLIO LEVEL BECAUSE ALL OF THESE STRATEGIES KIND OF WORK TOGETHER.

ALTHOUGH IT SAYS SOMETHING ELSE ON THE IT'S LIKE FIVE-YEAR IMPLEMENTATION OR SOMETHING THAT APPOINTMENT SAYS SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT.

THAT'S ALSO AT 10 O'CLOCK ON APRIL 13TH, AND THAT IS MYSELF, BOBBY, VANESSA, AND ROBERT MACE PERRY.
